Tuckers is a traditional butcher, established in 1984 in Penclawdd on the Gower Peninsula in South Wales. The business originally supplied the local community with fresh meat, frozen goods and groceries from the shop and through a home delivery service. We couple traditional butchery practices with modern cutting styles to produce high quality cuts of Gower meat suitable for any menu. Our meat is sourced as livestock from farms on Gower and surrounding areas and carry out all our butchery from carcass form, providing full traceability from farm to your door.

Christmas meat
Ordered some salt marsh lamb and gammon over the phone after finding that the website had closed for orders. Very helpful and easily arranged order and collection date.
The gammon was baked on the 24th and was moist, not too salty & full of flavour. The lamb we had on Christmas day and was slow cooked. The bones puled out vey easily and the meat just fell apart, was very tender, moist and tasty. Will definitely use Tuckers again & was well worth the trip to Swansea from the Vale of Glam!!! Excellent!!!

Although I admit the original fault was mine as I put 23/11 instead of 23/12 as my pickup date for a turkey crown I am disappointed that more effort wasn't made to check what must have been an a very strange order. I was told a phone call was made but there is an answer machine on both my home number and mobile no message was left So today I picked up a frozen crown which has cost me £45. Even if I had been contacted yesterday I could have defrosted it in a fridge which is the general advice rather than leave it out. Poor customer service I feel

We’re disappointed to read this review however we can’t link this to any order on our system. You even left this review as “Guest”.
You do though admit that the fault was your own when you selected the wrong date for collection. At checkout, we even ask customers to tick a box that says, “I have checked my chosen delivery or collection date and confirm it is correct”. You must therefore take responsibility for this, it can’t be up to us to confirm every order.
If you’d contacted us directly before posting this then we could have come to some resolution on this. Perhaps you’d like to drop us a line at customer.service@tuckersbutchers.com.

Quality meat and very good service. We regularly shop here as we are local but having the option of free local delivery is very useful when ordering for the freezer.

Fantastic meat but delivery a day late
The meat i purchased from you thus far has been fantastic. I bought a selection of Pork, Lamb and Beef and no complaints.
4 stars rather than 5 as the delivery was a day late. Probably / possibly the fault of DPD, but late nonetheless. Other than that no complaints and I will order again.
