Appalling service from start to finish…

Appalling service from start to finish for someone looking after elderly parents and completely dependant on this happening. Placed the order over 3 months ago, had little to no contact other than automated messages telling me all was OK. Until after all that waiting I was informed that it would be at least another 6 months before I could get the car I was told would have been here by now. The issue was down to communication between Vanarama and factory / dealer. I was then given the option to change the car without the need to go through further finance check etc. Did this and changed the car and was then told the whole thing was falling through even though the car was the same value etc. So after 3-4 months I'm being told there's no option and they have wasted all this time whilst I have a dire need for transport for my parents! What a complete waste of time, and Vanarama are not interested in the significant inconvenience they've caused my parents health and living conditions without a car. To say I'm vexed would be an understatement. The only option I was given was to cancel the order and make a new application which might lead me down the same garden path again. No recourse for this company messing their customers about, causing significant inconvenience and not paying the price as they just put the phone down and the problem goes away from them. Sort out your processes, how do you allow this to happen to your customers?

Good afternoon Mr Jan, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback.

I have looked further into this and can see the order was initially delayed due to the supplying dealer not submitting the order on their end, and not informing us for a number of weeks. We liaised with the relevant parties and managed to source a new vehicle however, we take full responsibility for the lack of contact around this.

Upon trying to rectify this issue, the finance company let us know they would not be proceeding as the vehicle which was ordered in your name is being used by an individual not directly associated with you at your current address.

I appreciate this is not the outcome you were expecting and sincerely apologise for the additional stress this has added to your current situation.

I personally found vanarama a great…

I personally found vanarama a great company to lease a car from they were very helpful every step of the way!!!! One person in particular Paul 👍very helpful indeed and I thank him for that 💯and to the hole team thank you 🙏

Wouldn’t deal with Vanarama again

From start to finish I have been messed about by Vanarama when leading a van.
From extras I asked for not being put on the van, to van not being delivered when I was told on 3 occasions. Then after 2 months they have started chasing me for service plan payments even though I’ve been telling them the payments weren’t being taken despite direct debit being set up.
I have to say that the vehicle I have (Peugeot Van) is superb but that’s not actually down to Vanarama
Will I lease from them again when this lease runs out? No!

We appreciate delayed deliveries have serious impacts on our customers, especially those who are relying on their vehicle for work purposes. Our deliveries team chased the supplying dealership tirelessly and unfortunately, could not prevent delivery from being rescheduled. Due to the inconvenience this caused, we arranged for the dealership to compensate you.

Regarding the missing accessories, we take full accountability for this issue and arranged reimbursement for the fitment of the ladder roller.

We understand how frustrating you must feel with the issues that have occurred and sincerely apologise for this.

A well laid out website giving lots of choice and everything explained, no hidden fees anywhere.
Once I made my choice and applied on line I was kept in touch with the progress and procedures meaning I knew what was going on at every stage.

Happy Customer
