Don't book with them
I took a cruise to the west caribbean for my honeymoon this past November. I had booked 3 excursions 1 in belize which had us waiting an hour before we started the bus broke down along the way and the ruins tours was horrible the tour guide spoke more about his grandfather than the Mayans 2. We ziplined in roatan the zipline great the zoo was stupid a few monkeys and two slothes nothing to rave about. But we waited over an hour for the driver to arrive. 3 snorkeling in cozumel with chac choc tours. We arrived at the marina at 1pm. There was no sign or form of directions where to meet the tour. We walked around looking for the meeting point. And found nothing. After an hour we left. I couldn't connect to the emergency number because I had no service or internet. When I got back on the ship I sent an email to venture ashore to let them know what happened with the snorkeling and that I needed a refund. They told me that the company is repertoire is good and they left at 1pm with 50ppl. I explained that we got there on time but had no directions for the meeting area at the marina. Venture ashore refused to refund that one tour and over looks the costumer. I would rather spend a little more money and book with the ship for their excursions at least I know that I will get my tour or my money back.

We understand your concerns and appreciate the opportunity to address them. Regarding the tour in Cozumel, we discussed this with you, but we were not made aware of the other two tours significant delays or the bus breakdown you mentioned, when our customer service team first spoke with you. The Cozumel tour was a shared experience with more than 50 passengers, and the group needed to depart on time. Although the team waited until 1:05 p.m., they could not delay the tour further, as other guests were already on board and waiting.
Our vendor has confirmed that the meeting information is correct, as stated on the shore excursion voucher. While we understand that you are disappointed and had hoped for a refund, the vendor has advised that all other participants arrived without issue, and therefore they could not authorize one.
We truly regret that this situation led to a negative experience, as we never like to see our guests dissatisfied. Please know that we explored all options to try to resolve this for you, but we are unable to delay shared tours.
Excursions ok but contact with Venture when we needed them was completely impossible
Actual excursions ( we did 3 in Thailand and Vietnam) were quite well organised and ran smoothly. My big issue with Venture was that for one trip, we couldn’t find the meeting place. We were not alone- there were 4 independent couples all with the same issue. The issue was that when we rang the number on the booking confirmation that said “ if you have difficulties locating your guide ring this number “ nobody answered! We lost over an hour of the tour and couldn’t get through to anyone. If there had been a real emergency the situation would have been very serious. I would now think twice about using this company again because of this.

A brilliant day. Our guide was exceptionally good, so informative and made everything interesting. He gave us the time to stroll and enjoy each venue and added in the information at the right time. If all Venture Ashore trips are this good we would definitely use them again

90 Person Group In Portugal

Reliable and Dependable
In September 2025, I coordinated a group of 104 guests on a cruise to Greece. The logistics for this trip were managed through three separate bookings with Venture Ashore, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Airport to Hotel Transfers
Given that guests arrived on different flights throughout the day, we arranged six distinct pickup times from the airport to the hotel. This allowed each guest to be accommodated according to their travel schedule, providing convenience and minimizing wait times.
Athens Tour
During our stay in Greece, we organized a tour of Athens for over 90 guests. The arrangements made by Venture Ashore ensured that everyone was able to participate comfortably and enjoy the sights of the city together.
Hotel to Port Transportation
For the final leg of our journey, transportation from the hotel to the port was provided using three buses. The entire process was seamless, with every segment of the trip running smoothly and without any issues.
Recommendation
Based on this exceptional experience, I highly recommend Venture Ashore for group travel needs. I will certainly use their services again for future trips.

Beware, misleading, not a proper tour guide company.
We Booked a FLorence and Pisa shore excursion from La Spezia where our ship docked. The website is very misleading. We booked a 'transfer and walk with local', rather than 'transport only' and paid extra for this. You would assume it would be a knowlegable guide. Firstly they didn't have our correct booking and said we asked for transport only. It took 20 minutes to confirm we had the 'with a guide and not transport only. When we got to Florence, this 'guide' took us to the main streets and when asked about anything, she said she couldn't tell us as she was not a licensed guide. I could have followed a map to the main attractions ourselvles. We learnt nothing about beautiful Florence. When the coach got to Pisa, they left us in a Coach Park with no directions of how to get to the leaning Tower. The 'guide' was just on her phone all the time. You think you might be saving money from the cruise excursions but this was an utter waste of money as it is not a proper guided tour. Beware!

Rome tour
From organizing a group of 13, Olivia made it a breeze. Finding the meeting place from the cruise ship was easy and well organized. We visited many sites in Rome even seeing the Pope. My only suggestion is splitting the large group of 51 people in half as it was very hard to keep up through the narrow streets and not enough time to take pictures due to it being very crowded. All in all it was a great tour.

We did the 3 tour package ..White pass…
We did the 3 tour package ..White pass Summit, Juneau Whale Watching, Ketchikan Tour.
I have to say we were disapointed in 2 of these trips
Juneau Whale Watching we were taken to a place where there were 2 sightings, we saw the tail of 1 whale & water spouts but the other whale fell asleep, that couldnt be helped but we never went anywhere else we just stayed in that 1 spot, we never saw any other wildlife. If we went again i would definately book locally their passengers saw a whole lot more than us.
The Ketchikan tour was rushed , the Museum was closed.

The meet up instructions were unclear…
The meet up instructions were unclear for us. The windows in bus were fogged over so no chance to see anything. We drive to dock and get off and then back on bus to see glacier only to turn around and back to dock while listening to litany of how messed up company is from driver. The whale watching part was excellent! Use some shaving cream for the windows to clear the fog.

Amazing Tours in Athens and Istanbul
My wife and I worked with Venture Ashore during our Seaborn Athens to Istanbul cruise this summer. Truly first-class guides - Antigoni in Athens; Ekran in Istanbul. We experienced both destinations in ways that we would not have found from a standard cruise excursion - hidden gems of churches and mosques; a 5-star Michelin-rated restaurant off the beaten path in Istanbul, amazing shopping that usually only locals find, and VIP treatment at every stop in our tours. On top of that, the logistics and coordination were flawless. Can't recommend high enough. Just an amazing experience. Thank you Venture Ashore team!
