A lovely tour guide very professional and knowledgeable lovely thoughtful and caring.. Guna was our tour guide in Golden Circle tour, she was the best of all our tours of our cruise. Highly recommend 👌

We took two trips with Ventures the first to Ephesus where the guide was very good and knowledgeable. However at the house of Mary we had to queue for 90 mins. He didn't give us any idea of how long it would be so returned to the ship and hour later than expected.
Our second trip was to Sorrento and Pompeii. Sorrento was very rushed we had around 30 mins to find some lunch. Pompeii was great but again not long enough. Excellent guide in Pompeii.
The negative was although the bus driver was very good the minibus was really old and tatty, with almost 366k on the clock. This included seats that needed cleaning and internal door panels that needed replacing.

My husband and I had been there before, but this time we had a guide and a bus driver. The guide was ridiculously knowledgeable about everything and stopped in extra places and gave us so much information, that this trip was far better when we did it ourselves.
He could answer any question that was asked, he was funny, he was engaging, he was aware of every person on his tour that did or may have needed assistance, walking, or anything else. There was plenty of opportunity to stop for drinks or snacks and not once did we ever feel rushed.
The bus driver was also knowledgeable, but his bus driving skills were far and beyond.
We felt safe the entire time. We did not feel rushed. And they got us back to the ship with plenty of time to spare, even though we did so many extra things that day.
I would definitely choose venture sure again overdoing an excursion the cruise ship. They were professional and not once did we worry that we would get back to the ship on time.

We went on a coach trip to Birkstal Glacier Olden Norway. The ship was delayed docking. I sent an we mail to let Venture know we would be late. They were very helpful and a V nature representative was waiting for us when we got off of the ship. It was very busy but the representative made sure we all got onto the correct bus. The Journey was very comfortable and the bus was warm. We had ample time to walk to the Glacier and sit and have sandwiches there. The coach waited for us in the same place he dropped us off. We got dropped off in Olden on the way back to the ship so we could look around and walked back to the ship in our own time. Venture are a very good tour operator, we have used them before and have never yet been disappointed. Prices are cheaper than the ship tours but the experience is just as good.

We enjoyed a marvellous excursion “Istanbul Delight” provided by Venture Ashore three years ago, so decided to use them again for a visit to Ephesus from Kuşadası and were not disappointed. Our excellent guide was waiting for us at the advised meeting point and spent most of the day with our small group. We were driven in an air conditioned comfortable vehicle to the House of the Virgin Mary, Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis. Our guide was fantastic - perfect English, full of historical knowledge and extremely charming.

I've occasionally used Venture Ashore when it was known as Cruising Excursions.com. Haven't used them for a while but we recently did a cruise in the Med and I booked an excursion for Instanbul called Istanbul Delight - Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar. I've got to say that this was a fantastic tour, good value for money and our Guide, Emel was absolutely superb. If you are lucky enough to get her then you won't be disappointed. Her knowledge, friendliness and enthusiasm were exceptional. Hopefully this feedback will reach the company that runs this tour as, like most guides, she works on a freelance basis.

Trip to Bruges from Zeebrugge. Booked through travel agent. Arrived at the cruise terminal in Zeebrugge. Our taxi driver arrived on time and was extremely friendly. Took the time to chat to us about Bruges on the journey despite the early start! Dropped us into the centre of Bruges and arranged a time for pick up. Was waiting for us on time and we had a good journey back to the port. Highly recommend. What a lovely chap he was!

We booked two tours - One in Seychelles one in Dubai. They showed up for neither one ! 24/7 support number - No answer. So we incurred extra cost trying to pivot to an on the fly excursion. Venture ashore refunded money for services not rendered after a fight - and no compensation for the loss and inconvenience they created NEVER USE VENTURE ASHORE !

We booked three tours during our South East Asia cruise. All were excellent particularly the tour to Bangkok, although a long journey the guide did really well in making sure we made the most of our time there. Small groups, air conditioning vehicles, water provided and really informative guides on all three trips. Lunch breaks were good and very reasonably priced. One of the meeting points was not very clear but the guide made contact via WhatsApp and we met up on time. Back to the ship after tours in plenty of time so no stress. We would use Venture Ashore again as good value for money.

We were recommended Venture Ashore by our booking agent Vision Cruise, we booked the three trips package when on our Far East Cruise recently. The tour guide made contact prior to the trip, were well informed of local knowledge and interesting facts. Well spoken and even supplied water. The vehicles were
Modern and air conditioned. One trip we were extremely late ( due to the ships disorganisation) the guide kept in touch and very kindly waited for us and another couple. The groups were small and friendly. We will book with Venture Ashore again We had one excursion with the ship which did not compare to Venture Ashore.

We have recently returned from a Asian cruise on Celebrity Millennium. We booked 4 trips with Venture Ashore before we travelled. We wanted smaller group trips and we chose trips of about 5 hours. All the trips ran perfectly, picked up on time and returned on time. All guides had excellent knowledge and spoke good English. Bao, our guide in Phuket, could not have been better and gave a real insight to the culture.
My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the meeting instructions on two tours could have been clearer. Whilst we met our guides fairly easily a clearer description would have helped. Two of the guides took photos and WhatsApped them to us after the tour. We would use them again.

We spent a wonderful day in Singapore on 10/31/24 with our Venture Ashore guide Charlotte Chu. We are experienced travelers and can say with absolute certainty that it was the best tour we ever took. Charlotte made the day so immersive by sharing personal experiences, guiding us to various little nooks and making sure we tried all types of local cuisine. She was a wealth of history as well as current events and was always eager to keep us enthusiastically engaged in her home city. As my wife and I are on the elderly side, Charlotte went out of her way to make sure the pace was perfect for our capabilities and even escorted us into the airport to our check in point. If you get the opportunity, spend the day with Charlotte Chu and have the best tour you've ever experienced.

Did the Mykonos Jeep Tour with our family. Worst experience and waste of money and time ever! All 4 families that went hated it. First, Jeeps were in terrible condition...didn't have sunroofs and 2 of our Jeeps stalled going up a steep hill. Second, the tour guide (Mathias, I think) was awful. Didn't tell us anything, told one of the families he didn't like Americans, didn't take us where the tour was supposed to go (one of my daughters noticed on Google Maps) and got annoyed when we listened at the lighthouse stop to listen to another tour guide. He said, "Are you finding out anything interesting?" very sarcastic. Drive was super dangerous and we had no way to stay in touch to ensure all the Jeeps stayed together. I asked for his phone number just in case (and the other families copied me). He, in fact, did leave one of the families behind at a location because...surprise...they had car trouble with the lovely Jeep they were provided! I wish I could get our money back and that day back. Worst excursion ever!!!!

We would highly recommend this coach/walking tour of Rome if you are only there for 1 day. Our guide- Susie was excellent- highly knowledgeable, interesting & great fun- thank you.
We visited all the major sites from the outside. There wasn't really anytime for shopping, & only a short lunch break but this was OK as we were there to see the sights & Rome didn't disappoint.

We did the Beatles Walking Tour in July 2024. We had a blast! Even my college-age daughters enjoyed it! I am a huge Beatles fan, and so was our guide! The group was small and manageable. We got to visit so many sites in Liverpool, but especially Mathew Street where the Beatles got their start.

We had a great day in Istanbul. Our guide was SO knowledgeable, and what he didn't know about the Ottoman empire wasn't worth knowing!!

I could comfortably say that we covered the top 4 sights in Istanbul, but it was a LOT for one day. Whilst I totally appreciate this is what we booked, I'd caution other travellers when considering this in the height of summer!

I think I'd also thought we'd spend more time in the air-conditioned vehicle, but once it had dropped us off at the Blue Mosque, we walked everywhere until it was time for us to return to the ship!

We had 3 teenagers with us, and after the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, I think their appetite for history was sated, so they found the Topi Kapi Palace a bit hard going. Again, no fault of the tour, but just hopefully useful context for travellers thinking about booking.

Our experience with Venture Ashore, was brilliant. Especially when we were delayed getting off the ship and needed to let them know. Theu were very helpful and really great at communicating with us.

I would definitely book with them again.

Our tour guide was polite and courteous; however, he was not as historically well versed or knowledgeable as we would have liked. Then again the tour was good, we saw what was on the list and had some free time.
The Marella tours we could have booked were apparently exhausting so, this shorter trip which was only 4 of us in the end was well worth the investment. On balance I would use again but hope that our guide was a bit more enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

Our guide, Angela, was excellent - a fellow tour member described her as a “font of knowledge”. The tour was well organised and very enjoyable. The most challenging aspect was finding the shuttle from the cruise ship to the coach park but the port staff were very helpful. Some of the other tour members were a bit delayed and this meant our arrival back to our ship was also delayed but we were still back in good time before sailing away! I would definitely use Venture Ashore again.

We booked with Venture Ashore and were completely satisfied.
