Bad Customer Service
I had such a good experience with Vodafone at Sutton Surrey High Street on 12/12/25, very rare approach and customer service, this guy should be rewarded, very warm approach yet friendly and welcoming.
He told me that new iPhone will be waiting for me to pick up from 10:00 on 16/12/25 so, remembering my last experience I went there hoping to pick up new iPhone 15
I was exited collecting my new phone, at 17:05 when I entered to the shop I noticed 2 men sitting on the left looking directly into my eyes, they had company uniform on, I felt intimidated yet uncomfortable not to mention unwelcomed, no smile, not a word, just staring into my eyes.
I approach to a lady sitting on the right side first desk, I said that “I supposed to collect new phone on contract today but I didn’t get txt yet so I came to ask anyway”, she replied that “the most probably isn’t here yet, perhaps tomorrow” she also asked what sort of phone so I replied iPhone 15, then her colleague said “I think it came but we didn’t put it in the system yet, it takes only few minutes”, ok so when I came to the shop ladies were sitting, chatting, chilling, no clients they were looking after at the time, and they had no time, ok, happens I guess, sometimes you just want seat, then Chantel (as I’ve found out later) asked me about my first name, I replied, she went to the back room in the store and came back with a folder, while she was standing at the door and asking me out loud from a long distance “what is my surname?” I said “what about data protection? you can’t ask me for my full name on front of everyone in the shop” she came to the desk (few more customers came in at this moment, I pulled my wallet to prove my identity) then she was trying to explain that “she is making me a favour but as of mine attitude I’ll have to wait for txt like everybody else” I said “my attitude? you asking me for my full name on front of everybody woman, what attitude you talking about?”
At this point I decided to leave the shop at 17:10, this behaviour is highly unprofessional, disrespectful yet disgusting, I don’t know if want to do anything with Vodafone anymore, thinking abut cancelling this contract, that’s data protection breach attempt, this is illegal and should be reported to appropriate authorities.
At 17:15 I received txt that my phone is now ready to collect, I didn’t see that as I was driving home.
So new phone was in the shop, just behind the door, but as a punishment I’ll not be able to collect it at the moment.
So my old phone is about to die and I got no new phone, what a absurd.

Vodafone Sutton store.
I have been a customer for over 15 years and know the staff in the Sutton store well.
I recently lost my phone and Zoe and her team were so kind and understanding when I went in, they couldn't do enough to help.
Zoe made sure that I left the store that day, with a new phone, a great black Friday deal on my contract and my device was set up and ready to use.
Such a great team providing an excellent service.
