From the outset, the delivery of the splashbacks was mishandled. These items were extremely long and heavy, yet the delivery driver refused to assist in bringing them inside, stating it was a roadside drop-off. With only one person at home, our elderly neighbour had to help carry them in during poor weather conditions. This situation could have been impossible for an elderly or vulnerable customer.
When the main kitchen was delivered, a cupboard door was missing. This was not resolved until the build was complete, and only because independent installer returned to fit it. We also discovered that the cupboard itself was the wrong size. We were advised to cut it down to fit, which again installer kindly did as an act of goodwill.
We had also purchased a hot/cold tap system which did not work from the outset. The E05 error code indicated an unfixable issue, yet it took a month of repeated calls, requests for photos, and follow-ups before the heating box was finally replaced. This only happened after I informed customer support that we would be making a formal complaint.
Similarly, the waste disposal unit did not work for approximately three weeks. Again, we had to repeatedly chase customer services for updates. Eventually, installer consulted his contracts manager, who advised him to remove, clean, and reinstall the unit. Thankfully, this resolved the issue.
To add to this, we were informed that the installer could not complete the project in the system due to technical issues, meaning our rubbish was not collected. After contacting customer services, I was told to email if it had not been collected by the Bank Holiday Monday. I did so, only to be told something entirely different—that sign-off was not until 21/5 and collection would not occur until 28/5. It is now 29/5 and the rubbish remains uncollected. Appalling customer service.

I have found accessing the Wickes Community Programme to be a straightforward process and they definitely have the right person in the role. I would recommend getting in touch if you are a charity.

Wow so rude. They are not used to women looking around this store and finding the items she requires to carry out repairs. 2 separate men with trolleys nearly hit me while I scanned the shelves for my items. 2 decided to be loud to get my attention.
The chap on the till could barely drag himself away from his phone. Looked like a game from upside down. No welcome, no manners, just grunts. No thank you.

Came round didn’t seem interesting in the job despite being a full renovation that we are eager to get done as soon as possible. 3 weeks down the line and never heard back. Waste of time, will be telling everyone to stay away from a time wasting company!

I'm at the early stages of my kitchen experience and so far so good but the test will be if the installation runs smoothly, I expect a few hiccups but hopefully nothing major

I have now ordered both a bathroom and a kitchen from Wickes and on both occasions have found the planner, Gene Hogben to be both helpful and patient, keeping me informed of progress as appropriate.

The kitchen ordering process went well. Sorted out the design with out any issues. Delivery arrived with one damaged door panel. Was quickly replaced.
Wickes recommended installed was total incompetent. It's now been 16 days and the kitchen is not complete. Tops are not measured. No communication from wickes as to how they plan to fix the problems.
Cupboards installed skew. Installer left a mess.
Drilled holes in new cupboards and walls. Then had to change positions leaving. The wrongly drilled holes have to poorly repaired.
Been back to sales man at wickes who sent an email to the field manager but no replies back.
Very difficult to get any help from Wickes. I would not recommend using them.

Although the systems used in Wickes seem lumpy and disjointed from one another, the people Wickes employ are absolutely fantastic, and each one of the approx 10 people i have had contact with have been polite, tried really hard to get my issues resolved, and gone into the 'background' of the systems to relocate my order when it has been fulfilled by another store, and thus is invisible on the system. However you are recruiting these team members, good on you. I would employ them to work in challenging environments, as they are like swans, sereine on top and working like crazy below water.

I ordered some black Matt emulsion on line, wickes notified me it was ready to be collected. Picked it up, opened it to start a job, this paint was labelled as Rich Black.
When I opened the can it was dark grey! After some incredible vigorous stirring it darkened slightly, I was about to return it but, then had a brain wave! It might look darker when on the wall and dry. It did! 🤭thank goodness. So all ok and my Zebra looks amazing against the black wall.

The solar panel surveyor was very courteous on the phone, unfortunately solar plus had already worked out a quote for the panels before he could come and see for himself,which I thought the whole idea of a visit was to talk about our needs,which were totally different to the solar quote, so they have now lost our business which is a shame because I spend alot of money at wickes buying materials

Im the process of getting new bathroom going to start 4th August, today receive email, they did bother to call me, that my sink unit unavailable, no alternative,also problems when a my taps was delivered, lying about times,
Just dont care, im very upset,
Still can't believe it, I thought Folkestone store cared no they dont,
Also was told my tiles I ordered needed to have delivered early sale ones would go out of stock I agreed day before told 2 boxes unavailable, they did get them on the end after upsetting,
Im so worried this bath going to not happen, i will be messed about, unbelievable.
