I've known about them a long while but on my first visit they were very patient with me and got me the right shoes, already planning to go back for another pair. Best shoe fitting service I've ever had.

Excellent experience…first time visiting and was very impressed with the quality and variety of modern women shoes available..and all in my size and width. This does not happen elsewhere! The staff were very welcoming , expert in their fitting and advice, and nothing was too much trouble. Have already planned a return to try their walking boots. My feet are size 8 and extra wide, and I always have a lot of trouble finding comfortable shoes that are good looking . Very happy to have found DB and would highly recommend.

As usual the ladies are completely BRILLIANT. came out with 3 pairs and introduced my boyfriends Mum who loves her slippers. Just so stress free. You make my feet feel normal. The knowledge is awesome. Thank you so much.

I visited the fitting centre in Rushden this morning. It's the second time I've had an appointment there and on both occasions have come away with shoes that fit well and are comfortable. After four foot operations, that doesn't happen anywhere else!
The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the range of shoes available. Also, they have patience!

I have just received my 5th pair. I did send one pair back, but now I’ve found my size all my purchases have been fast accurate and the product’s been perfect. The return when needed was easy. Money difference returned immediately. I have spoken to staff. They were superb and help was given with politeness and professionalism. All things considered, I will always use DB for my footwear.

The two ladies, Sue and Carol are a credit to the firm. Their knowledge to enable our disabled daughter purchase a new pair of shoes was great. This is our second visit and will definitely be back in the future.

The shoe fitter was initially sceptical that my 93 year old mum could be fitted with suitable shoes, however my mother who was adamant she had size 8 foot was measured as a 6. After an appointment that lasted an hour, we bought a full shoe plus a pair of sandals. We later bought a pair of slippers with removable insoles. Full marks to DB.

Dreadful pair of extra wide walking shoes, most certainly not extra wide as described, wore them indoors for a few hours and then ventured outside for a walk, had to return home due to severe discomfort and three days on toes are still extremely sore.
Have compared with my extra wide fitting shoes from another supplier and these are not as wide

I visited your shop yesterday to look for summer shoes or sandals. I had booked the appointment but was delayed by an accident on the motorway and was told to come when we could. I had visited before and got 2 pairs of shoes and a pair of slippers so know how comfortable they are. Sue and her colleague were so helpful in helping me find shoes and walking shoes that fitted very well and are stylish and colourful. The sandals did not have a long enough ankle strap which was disappointing but the ones I chose look fabulous.

I bought a pair of DB's Wyoming Walking Shoes in August 2025. DB were recommended by my Biomechanics team. Whilst these are very comfortable, once I managed to get the right size! DB's sizing is quite inconsistent. The shoes have not worn well. Already the soles have worn down on the heels and on the ball of the foot (7mths wear and not even daily wear). I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of these shoes.

I have been searching for comfortable shoes for a long time and finding out about DB Shoes was a godsend.
An appointment to suit me and a friendly and excellent fitting service. Plenty of choice in styles and colours.and I found exactly what I wanted and needed.

Used the fit finder to get an initial sizing and ordered a few pairs of shoes with next day delivery that were on back order.

Shoes arrived earlier than expected but were too narrow (probably my fault with the measurements, could take them whilst standing) and returned them using the included pre paid postage and a different width and next size up - posted them on a Saturday.

Had to pay a small difference due to the pricing of the size adjustments but had received my new shoes on Friday that fit perfectly, very impressed with the speed and quality of service - the lady I spoke to on the phone who explained the additional payment was incredibly polite and friendly.

Will definitely be using DB Shoes again in the future.

Firstly ,I called and spoke to a lady who kindly sent me a catalogue of the shoes on offer,which arrived the next day in the post .There was a wide range of shoes and sandles on offer and it was very easy to see the shoes that would accommodate a orthotics in the sole of the shoe .so I booked an appointment and went to see them today. I was greeted by 2 very friendly ladies who measured my feet and helped me make a decision on the shoes to purchase . I came away with a pair of trainers and a pair of sandals that I am very happy with .Also I got 20%off in the sale.So I would just like to say thank you to Sue and Jackie for your help, you were both very helpful ,professional and very friendly 😀 Next time I need some more shoes I'll be back to see you again. A big thank you to Sue for making buying shoes so easy. I need to wear an orthotic and have dreaded buying shoes to accommodate it. Sue made me feel relaxed and helped me make informed decisions about some really comfortable boots and shoes. I now have two pairs of stylish shoes that help me to walk pain free. Thank you for such a wonderful service.

Ordered 3 pairs of boots online. They claimed these are ‘wider than high street’. I ordered in there widest size 6E-8E. All 3 pairs were too narrow, especially around the ankle. They were very deep in the toe box. I can only think these are designed for people who don’t have naturally wide feet but have developed some problem causing only the lower part of there foot to widen. Charged £15 for postage which was non refundable. All 3 pairs were stuffed tightly into a box I know would have cost no more than £5 to post. Ridiculous to say they are wider than high street, when I have many pairs of high street wide fitting boots & shoes that fit and these were too narrow. Also I ordered the hiking boot, which said gribby sole, it was very thin & poor quality & would not be suitable for mountain walking at all.

Sue and Jackie made me feel welcome it was like going back to old days of personal service. My feet were measured and then the task of finding the right shoes for my needs began. Nothing seemed like it was to much trouble for them and between them they found a pair of lace up shoes which were a perfect fit. having said that they changed and upgraded the insoles so to give me as much comfort as i needed. So on that type of service i also bought a pair of trainers which the ladies went through the same procedure and I got a pair that fitted very well . I have to wear a support because i have a disability and that didn't phase the ladies if anything it made them more determined to get me fitted with the write shoes. With staff like that the firms onto a winner. Would I recommend the firm definitely. Thank you Sue and Jackie for your being so patient with me.

The fitting service is excellent…where else could you get an hour long appointment and the dedicated help of knowledgable assistants? The shoe styles are amazing …well made and instantly comfortable and it’s great to get shoes that are good for your feet and also fun to wear. I had fantastic help from Jackie and Karen and I am now the delighted owner of some wonderful silvery shoes and some bright pink ones!
People have already admired them. So thank you everybody…I am so glad I live near Rushden!

This was a repeat order for another pair of Cherbourg Boots. Lovely boots and I like them so when they get tatty or wear out I simply order another pair.

I ordered on 25th and they arrived today on 28th February by Royal Mail - I paid the standard P&P. How quick is that?

My podiatrist suggested I visit DB Wider Fit shoes. I received first rate customer service from Sue. She couldn’t have been more helpful and gave excellent advice. I welcomed this especially as I have really badly damaged feet due to rheumatoid arthritis so finding suitable footwear has been virtually impossible. Not anymore. Not only is the footwear at DB extremely comfortable but there are so many modern and fashionable styles. I purchased a lovely pair of trainers and some gorgeous glitzy boots - I just couldn’t resist them! Thank you Sue, you are great! I highly recommend booking an appointment and visiting DB for that personal service.

Had struggled to find slippers for my elderly mum who has very swollen feet but these are a game changer, fit perfectly and delivered within a couple of days. She says it's like walking on air and is eagerly browsing the catalogue for some shoes too.
