Excellent quality and delivered on time

Order number: 105179 My dad placed orders for Christmas for all the family. When the delivery came, the chicken was missing and a wild boar joint had been put in the box instead of a gammon. Sadly during this time my dad had just passed away, loosing his battle
With cancer. My mum called to explain about the order being wrong. They said nothing they could do now before Christmas which we understand with deliveries however it was the owners attitude which was very disappointing. He kept saying on the phone he had customers waiting snd was very short on the phone, and basically didn’t want to sort it out. He told my mum to wait to after Xmas and ring again rather than him ring her back. Not an apology was given and given that my mum was grieving too it made it even worse! They made no effort at all and dad had brought plenty from them over the years. Such bad customer service we will never order again from this company.

I order regularly from this company and the meat is always lovely, delivery and service excellent. I wanted to make a special meal, so I emailed and they gave me some recipe ideas for using the peri peri pheasant fillets. Annabel was so helpful and provided some great ideas, I cooked one of them and it was delicious. I will be ordering again today

I ordered wild boar mince , diced wild boar and a mixed game pack. All have been exceptional quality and delivery was perfect. Thank you. Ended pie week with my version of a game pie,

Had a small trial order delivered yesterday. Ordering was simple and it was delivered well chilled and on time. We had wild rabbit casserole for lunch today and the rabbit was superb with a sweet, delicate flavour and excellent texture. We have mallard breasts and oxtail to look forward to. Both look really good in their packaging. Will definitely be back for more.

Awful service. Booked a delivery date and order didn't leave company until that date. Unfortunately produce is also poor. Bought goat, nothing but bone and grissle. Ended up throwing it away, it was so bad

Interesting in their reply they just say ok if we don't want to deliver when we say we will, tough. And agree that goat is just gristle and bone! As I said, awful company.

I live in a block of flats with a parcel room and concierge, and was concerned, owing to this non-standard delivery method, that the postman might refuse to deliver the goods, being perishable.
It was for this reason that I was at first tentative with my purchase.

The whole process however worked very smoothly: I simply went to pick up the parcel having come back from work. I will be purchasing from the Wild Meat Company again.

I now regularly order rabbit, venison and wild boar products and on occasions game birds.
Delivery, condition perfect, now with FedEx.
The company representatives are warm, friendly, attentive and efficient as is the the entire process.
Absolutely wonderful. And fabulous meals when cooked. Oh! And their chickens are perfect for the air fryer.

Good fresh product... delivered on time

Have brought from them many times. Arrived quickly and securely as packaging was excellent. Was lovely meat, something new Ive never tried before. Normally there is paperwork and cooking instructions enclosed, it was missing this time. Prob an oversight?.

Ordered the guinea fowl stuffed with wild boar stuffing. Very disappointing , will not be ordering again , not enough meat to stuffing ration and stuffing not very pleasant , i rushed out to buy another. Bird. To serve with it.

I now have several misgivings about buying from The Wild Meat company. First I no longer buy game birds because of the raptor persecution associated with shooting estates. Scottish Grouse estates are now licenced but nothing like this exists in England. My last order of venison mince, pork mince and lamb chops came well insulated with wool insulation wrapped in polythene and two frozen bags of some sort of paste. What is this stuff and is it safe to dispose of and how? No instructions provided. I think its not necessary, why not just freeze the mince and use that as an ice pack?? The lamb chops came wrapped in three polythene bags, one inside the other, what is that all about?? IMHO there is a profligate use of polythene. Yes polythene is recyclable but sadly around 70% of what is sent to be recycled is not. Its burned or buried. Does the wool insulation need to be wrapped in polythene?
..........Thanks for your reply. Yes the chops were bloody but if they were sealed properly in the first place you wouldnt need the excessive extra wrapping of polythene. The gell packs were still frozen when my order arrived so I doubt frozen mince would thaw (at this time of year). I'm unhappy disposing of these gel packs when people seem reluctant to admit what is in them. To me it is all very suspicious. I think I'll give you a miss and try elsewhere, a shame as the products themselves are very good quality.
