What a relief
Oh what a relief really. I was quite stressed about it all. When I call them they were very helpful, which I didn’t really expect. The tap out on the street was leaking, not much but still, and they actually took it seriously. They come and fix it quite quick, thank goodness.

POOR BALANCE INFORMATION
I have a complaint about the service I receive when contacting them time and time again regarding the balance of my bill. They have promised time and time again to adjust the way in which they give you the balance because it NEVER tells you if the balance is Credit or Debit so I have to work out all the amounts, deduct, add etc. etc. At the moment it states my balance is £59. 45 but is it in credit or debit it does not say and after all the phone calls I have made over the past two years with promises made to adjust this oversight nothing changes. Please sort this out, all other companies tell you if you owe them or they owe you but not Yorkshire Water. Speak to your IT staff because it is unacceptable and very confusing.
Also, when I do ring them and give them my account reference number it states it is not recognised even though that is the number shown on paperwork, online account and phone app. What a shambles.

The customer service were extremely helpful and resolved my issue. I also didn't have to press number after number before speaking to someone as you do with so many companies these days. As an aside, although I did not have a long wait, the hold music was really good.
Really poor service
Really poor service from Minster Baywatch, the company procured by Yorkshire Water to administer and manage the car parks at local reservoirs. Having paid for parking on a frequent basis without a problem, on our last visit we have been issued with a PCN for failing to pay. Despite providing proof of purchase the PCN has not been cancelled and we have received a gesture of “good will” to reduce the fine from £25 to £20 when a fine is not applicable. This has left a very sour taste and I am wanting to warn other users of these car parks to be aware. We will not be visiting again in the future and we are no longer surprised about the high volume of cars choosing to park on grass verges. We had assumed these cars were trying to avoid paying the nominal £2 but now realise it is to avoid the tactics of Minster Baywatch.

Got a call back about a water meter at exactly the time they promised. Pleasant chap on the phone; very helpful and apologetic that I had to wait for a visit longer than he hoped.

Any time I have to get in touch with Yorkshire Water, the odd time I have had a wait but you speak to someone who is always courteous and resolves any queries ASAP. I have used the moving home, bereavement services, faults with water systems and I can truthfully say I never have that sense of dread you get when you have to ring and try and access some other services. I don't have any complaints or issues with this provider in the 30+ years I have been using their services. I can't think of other ways to improve the service as I have genuinely never had a problem. The wait time for calls answered is a bit long sometimes but given the volume of calls they receive and a customer is never rushed on a call I don't mind. Thank you Yorkshire Water and your amazing call handlers 😁
