Worst customer service selling online without sufficient stock

Even 1 star is too good for this company. My recent experience with Zimfoods was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I ordered two bottles of Sper Apeti Plus Syrup, largely to justify a very high £38 shipping fee, bringing my total to £65.98. Although I received confirmation emails and even a WhatsApp message to verify my address—giving the impression that everything was in order—only one bottle was delivered on 8 April. When I reached out, communication was slow and inconsistent; after multiple attempts, I was eventually told the second item was out of stock and would be refunded, but no consideration was given to the disproportionate shipping cost I incurred as a result. At no point prior to delivery was I informed of any stock issues or given the option to amend or cancel my order. The website allowed me to purchase unavailable items, and customer support failed to respond adequately to my follow-ups. Overall, the lack of transparency, poor communication, and refusal to fairly address the situation have left me with a very negative impression, and I would not recommend this service to others.

HORRIBLE COMPANY ! NEVER BUY FROM THEM !

This is a horrible company .They dont communicate with customers and are very rude to customers if you contact them to inquire about your order .I bought french polony and paid for 2 day delivery which was very expensive only for them to dispatch a week later and polony was delivered when it was rotten .I tried to engage with them but they no success for a refund .Honestly i would never ever recommend anyone to buy from them .I have learnt my lesson the hard way .Lost a lot of money and very very unhappy . Never biy frpm them please !

If l could give a zero star l would! I made a mistake to order from them, for a recipient in Zimbabwe. As their depot is in Harare, the hamper had to ne couriered to Bulawayo. I asked the guy that l was dealing with; if the meat products will still be fresh by the time the hamper gets to Bulawayo. He reassured me that all was in order as the meat products were frozen. I was charged an extra £30 for shipping cost.

When the hamper reached Bulawayo, their office called and also messaged the recipient. That they were unable to deliver - although their office is 10 streets away. When the recipient arrived to collect the hamper; the office had a pungent smell. Which was the meat as it had become spoilt enroute from Harare. Also, there was some staff missing in the hamper. Bruno, the guy who l was liaising with, apologised and said that the management said as they did not have control over the conditions during transportation they were unable to help.

This is just a warning to anyone who wants to give custom to this company. I made/paid for the order on 06/12/2025 and the hamper was only delivered in Bulawayo on 11/12/25. They do not have any customer service values and dealing with them is at your own risk!!

Scammers

Worst experience, bunch of SCAMMERS to say the least. We have requested a refund multiple times no avail. I will be reporting this business to Trading Standards and the ombudsman. Never again!

Don't buy

Don't buy, avoid at all cost, I wish there was a -5 on these reviews. I placed an order 4 weeks ago, 4 weeks later I have not received anything yet the order should have arrived within 3 days. I call them to get help there is no answer, I message them and they tell me to chase up with courier but courier says if its been more than 7 days the sender is the one who needs to get in touch so I hit a brick wall. I asked for a full refund, they are telling me they cant refund me. One thing I know, its gona haunt them, they will not get away with this. How could they get any update or info 4 weeks later from any courier as they don't have an answer for me upto now. I will continue to send an update in the coming weeks. Wrongtarget

Wrong out of date products…

Do not buy I wish I had checked the reviews before I buy. Please don't buy abeg wo do not waste your money . One they will sent you wrong things flavour wise , what you ordered is not what you will get for instance I ordered chibuku but I got the pineapple flavour one. I ordered crisps Spuds beef flavour no I got tomato ketchup out of date ones. The business WhatsApp they do not respond. Like most here don't waste your money never again.

POOR POOR SERVICES

Firstly, their WhatsApp message service, they ask what you would like to order,19th August, and absolutely no reply until today 26 August, I eventually placed a order online at Zimfoods,on 19th, and haven't received my order as yet. Service delivery is absolutely disgusting, to say the least. Why have a Business WhatsApp, if you don't attend to messages, and it shows you are online EVERYDAY, and different times.

Ordered from this company and received very bad customer service customer service

Ordered from this company and first of all order was delivered to the wrong address. Eventually parcel was delivered nearly two weeks later. One of the cerevita was the wrong flavour, the nyii was dry and masau was so bitter. I attempted to get a replacement for the cerevita at least or refund and they ignored me when l asked for a return postage label to return the cerevita as they had requested. Bad customer service unfortunately. I managed to get my money back through a bank despute as l used a credit card to pay. Never again 😒

Terrible service

Terrible service.

They gave me completely the wrong order and when I tried to chase it up with them, they said the office is closed and that an email was sent to me saying they run out of stock.
Why put things online when you don’t have stock and make people pay for what you don’t have???
I did not receive any emails from them when I placed my order, stating this. Then to make it worse they said they couldn’t forward me the email they claim was sent, as the office was closed, yet someone had responded to my complaint via email, saying they will look into this. So how can they respond to emails same day but not check emails sent.
The person on WhatsApp has advised me to return the items for a refund, yet they say it’s the customers responsibility to cover return charges. So why would I put myself through that expense when it’s their fault.

Really bad service. Will not be using them again.

Unreliable and untrustworthy seller.

I brought shopping from this seller he never delivered the items. There was no reason given. The shopping was worth more than £39,00 including delivery which was charged 7,99 guaranteed two to three working days. I have received the package now it’s almost a month. Please do not use the seller, he is unreliable and not trustworthy. He/she mislead customers. I am taking this further until I receive my refund.

Order not fulfilled. Owner is a serial fraudster.

Order not fulfilled: wrong items, and fewer than paid for, were sent. Even worse, some were out of date.

The owner, Caroline Murwisi, has a long history of fraud and bad behaviour. At least she's moved on from selling toilet roll. Her details are on Companies House. Report to Trading Standards.

I just bought Grandpa powders that clearly state 12 powders in a box and they sent me 3 x individual powder for £12.

This is exhortation and madness.

Save your money and buy elsewhere so you won't be disappointed.

I could have poisoned them.

Will be reporting this store to Food Standards Agency.

In the UK, it's illegal for shops to sell or display food past its "use by" date, and while "best before" dates indicate quality, not safety, retailers should ensure customers know if a "best before" date has passed before purchase.

Awful Service

I am absolutely furious with this seller. This shop has truly mastered the art of customer disservice. I purchased assorted items, and it was not as described. The dried Veggies Mufushwa was a pile of dust that looked like it came from a 1930s sawmill. The body lotion was expired, and some items were missing.
Naturally, I requested a refund for the missing items as is my right and have been met with nothing but flat-out ignoring of my messages. This isn't just bad service; it's outright theft. Congratulations on your unwavering commitment to keeping my money while providing a completely unacceptable service. I'm sure your other customers will be thrilled to know what awaits them. Prepare for disappointment and a fight if you dare to ask for your money back.
