We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify that YouChoose cards are not advertised as being for direct in-store use. The packaging and card instructions clearly explain that the card must first be redeemed online and exchanged for a digital gift code from your chosen retailer before it can be spent.
We're also unclear about your comment regarding your "first 3 choices of store" not being available. All participating retailers on the YouChoose platform are available to select when redeeming your card. If you mean that three retailers you personally wished to shop with are not part of the YouChoose programme, participation is entirely at each retailer's discretion.
That said, we offer over 170 brands across a wide range of categories, giving recipients plenty of choice. We're pleased to see that you were ultimately able to find a brand you liked and successfully redeem your card for M&S.

If you haven't seen the email, please check your spam, junk, and promotions folders, as delivery emails can occasionally be filtered there by email providers.

Impossible to use
As others have said, incredibly difficult to register ask for lots of info then password won’t accept even though it is the criteria they are asking for. Message bot useless Can’t log on so can’t use the card . Feel sorry for family member who wasted their money on this card . Imagine how much money this company has pocketed by making it impossible to use .

The flexibility isn't great
The flexibility isn't great. The voucher can only be used to purchase other gift cards at limited denominations. I foresee, without careful management, ending up with several gift cards that all have a small amount of unuseable money left in them

We would like to clarify that your understanding of how YouChoose works is not quite correct. Once you upload your YouChoose gift card(s) to your account, the credit is pooled into a single balance (with the exception of YouChoose Gaming cards, which are held separately). This means you are not restricted to spending the value of an individual card and can use your available balance across any eligible brand on the website.
In addition, if the digital gift card you wish to purchase exceeds your available YouChoose balance, you can simply pay the difference using a debit or credit card at checkout.
Our aim is to provide customers with the flexibility to choose from a wide range of brands and denominations, while avoiding the need to manage multiple balances across different cards. If you need any assistance getting the most from your account, our Customer Service team will be happy to help via the live chat facility on our website.

Bad app
It took time after time to get to sign up to the app. The captcha would never work, and the whole process was extremely laborious. The website needs an overhaul. I nearly threw the voucher in the bin, ( maybe that's the idea) but it wasn't my money, and eventually succeeded using the laptop.

We're sorry to hear that you weren't happy with your experience. Digital gift codes are generally delivered quickly after a successful order is placed. However, during particularly busy periods, we do advise customers to allow up to 48 hours for delivery.
In your case, we can see that your H&M code was ordered on Saturday 12th September at 10:56am and was delivered at 11:29am the same day. We can also see that you contacted our Customer Services team, who resent the code for you on Monday 14th September at 10:58am.
Please do ensure you check your spam and junk folders, as email providers can sometimes filter automated emails into these folders.

Designed to make you not use it.
The whole website was quite tedious, and designed to make you forget you had the card so it could expire and the business take the money. This card was a gift, and I had to sign up, verify, authenticate, check by email and even then still had to choose the specific shop I wanted a voucher for, and I couldn't use it in conjunction with other offers. It expires after 12 months too so not it's hard not to be cynical about where this company's main profit is from. (people forgetting about the cards)
