Theyre Alright

Theyre not a bad company, the customer services people are helpful and insightful, even when given intense questioning.
We had a few issues when we first signed up, mainly cos they somehow duplicated our information onto another persons service, locking us out. This was when 6g first started circulating so could have been a learning hiccup.
Speeds were generally high, getting 100mbs regularly. A little dip here and there, the router mainly the issue with dropping out and rebooting itself for no reason. Service stopped for 2hrs max before the router was active again.

And hey, the guy left a free hook in the wall outside where he bound the ladder. Free hook!!

By far one of the most frustrating companies I’ve ever dealt with. We were without internet for five days and the only way to reach them was by waiting up to three hours on the phone, I eventually got through but when I mentioned I would like to leave the agent terminated the call!! I switched to SKY in June, and for months I repeatedly requested an early termination invoice—via email, letters, and phone calls—so that SKY could cover the fee. After five months, all I finally received was a distorted screenshot of the invoice. The service has been awful and incredibly stressful, and I would not recommend them to anyone. The customer service (when you finally get through) is shocking AVOID at all costs.

It was suppose to be wireless

It was suppose to be wireless. They dragged their feet in installing the router ... then told us we can't have wireless and we can't cancel because the contract was with open reach and past the cooling off period so we was stuck in a 24 month contract with a company that we left them for. It's nearly close to the 2 years and I can not wait to change. It's been 2 years of frustration.. constantly out. Not reliable enough for important work video calls. Out children one who is at university can't always get their work done as its consistently cutting out. No help from customer services either they're worse than the product. Avoid, avoid, avoid. It's an exceptionally bad provider and I this is my first negative review I've ever left.

FRAUD!!

FRAUD!!! Worst company ever DO NOT ORDER ANY SERVICES FROM THEM!! sent my a bill of over 500£ from an adress that i lived 2 year ago,without any bills or notices just email that for some reason i owe them.... on the otger adress they installed tere equipmant and the internet did not even work,i called the to cancell since it does not work,they said i cant cancell.got the internet from another supplier... still waiting what will they think off this time. Worst experience ever!

i wish i could give this company a ZERO…

i wish i could give this company a ZERO star rating! first of all, they are terrible with communication via email, they just want to make sales and trap the customers! the wifi connection is weak and always having issues with, they dont seem to care or understand, most important of all, every company has a manager, but these guys say they dont have a manager, so how do you expect to getbthe service you require when there is no one to hear your say, ect.
AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
jason and chris, the engineers shouldve fixed both of my issues before leaving the property!

Poor company poor broadband

Poor company poor broadband. Took me a while to leave. I had 6 months of issues and it wasnt taken seriously. I was not compensated but after complaining to the ombudsman I managed to leave with no charge. This review was based on an experience in 2022.
I would like to add that after originally posting this a few weeks later I was called by a rep from 6G Internet (now opus) asking if I could remove the review, even saying it would harm the business and the employees working there. They even asked what I would want to remove this review. I mentioned that if they called me again I will mention this on the review. I thought it would be dishonest if I didn't ammend my review to reflect this phone call conversation.

I joined 6G Opus Broadband this month

I joined 6G Opus Broadband this month, and the service I ahve been given is one of an excellent service. The engineers, were polite and made sure everything was working as it should, they even got a cup of tea (3 Sugars lol) I could not fault this company, customer service is also excellent, especially Amelia she does everything i needed.

I would HIGHLY recommend 6g Opus Broadband.

Worst Broadband Provider Ever!

Avoid unless you have no alternative!

I first signed up with 6g because there was no fibre connectivity where I lived, the adsl offerings from the "big players" in the area seemed to cap out at about 2mbps, 6g claimed to be able to offer 100mb speed and the service was on a rolling, month-by-month agreement, so I thought it would be worth giving them a shot.

I don't think I ever actually achieved anywhere near the advertised speed, often experiencing quite the opposite! Many times the connection couldn't even properly sustain one Teams call for work, even when nobody else was in the house. I must confess, though, that I didn't have quite as many total outages as some reviews suggest, probably only 10 across the 4 years I ended up being with them, and in the absence of too many alternatives, we just lived with the poor speed.

After being with them for about 3 years, they seemed to have been taken over by or renamed to "Opus" and immediately tried to get me to commit to a contract, rather than the month-by-month service they had always provided. Despite 3 or 4 pestering calls from them, I don't remember agreeing to this, but they seem to have switched me over regardless.

In May 25, I decided to shop around for what other deals were available now that the "big players" have installed fibre connectivity in my area, and to my surprise I received an email from 6g/Opus quoting a large cancellation fee for early termination. Called them to discuss and they claim I agreed to this contract in Feb 24 (when the first sales calls started to come from Opus), so I made a subject access request in the hope that I could review the call recording they claim to have in which I agreed to this contract, and was initially laughed at by the agent, dismissing my right to access this data. I reiterated what I was asking for, and reminded them of their obligation to provide it, and the agent said they would.

Having chased this up they have now admitted that they never raised the subject access request in the first place, in a surprise to nobody.

I have decided to change my provider anyway as the service really is so poor that even if I do somehow still end up having to pay a cancellation fee for a product I have been on for 4.5 years, it will still be worth it!!

Do not use this company

Please do not use this internet provider there an absolute disgrace cancelled my internet with them and they still kept taking money out my account. After 2 months off not being with them they have just took £130 out my account there an absolute disgrace.. am seeking legal advice.. Do not use them

DO NOT USE

After finally coning to the end of my contract trying to cancel it is yet another headache. After the first few months of my contract and consistent problems and the worst Internet speed I've ever experienced and several complaints I decided to just get a new provider. But despite the awful speed and service I couldn't cancel without paying so kept the contract running even though it's never been used for the last 2 years. Now I've got to the end and can I get it cancelled, nope can't get a response to my written requests to cancel at all.

A genuine absolute joke of a company…

A genuine absolute joke of a company and that is not me just venting frustration. They give me ridiculously low speeds, but worst is how they deal with it. Ive phoned 20+ times but cant speak to a manager. Its a call centre in dubai. They wont let me cancel free of charge even though through their own admission I have been on a package of 11mb for 6 months despite paying for 73mb. They offered 1 month free when my speeds are still ridiculous and I want to leave. I was told keep calling and log issues and I can cancel which I have done but surprise surprise every time there is something that makes me have to stay on, or pay one more month. I have been in touch since November I kid you not and they have scammed and conned me of £150+. Joke of a company

Do not move to 6G/Opus

Been with 6G for several months and there hasn't been a single month where I've had steady broadband. My Internet has been so intermittent and I have raised this with them every month! Shocking service. I would recommend no one to use opus for their broadband. It's not only disruptive for me with work and studies, but also for my kids! Very unhappy with the service and nothing gets done despite how many times I've complained. And long queues to get through to an advisor only to receive horrible customer service. Do not move to 6G/Opus!

Read the reviews before choosing

I hate this company. I'm paying for 100mb and getting nowhere near that, 35mb on good days and 2mb on bad days. Customer service is a joke and doesn't help long term. Stay away. I get better speeds with 5g mobile broadband.

There should be laws protecting…

There should be laws protecting customers from these guys claims of good internet to be continually let d9wn by poor speeds and terrible connections. Stay well away. My contract is up soon and safe to say I'll be running away as fast as I can. The worst provider about hands down.

I have never had such a bad company and internet in my life. I do not recommend it to anyone. It is better to pay a little more for good internet quality and go to another company.
