Beware of this predator....

Don't fall prey to this company masquerading as a legit seller of extended warranty. Ace Auto Protect is a scam, a chronic liar and they don't honor the contract. I have my car fixed in an auto repair center. I paid for the service and then I submitted a claim with ace auto protect for reimbursement. The person said that they will be mailing the check for the approved amount. I didn't received the check and when I follow-up they said it was mailed to the auto repair center. Then, they said it will be mailed out to me again with my exact address. I never received the check until now like it's been 4 months already. When I tried to call them to follow-up they don't answer the phone anymore. I left a message but nobody called me back. So, I am bringing this matter to the department of justice.

OK the owner of the vehicle have tried numerous times calling ace auto protect to get my vehicle fixed under the warranty but can never get anybody included athe certified auto mechanic about any vehicle service claim to get fix I have exhausted every possible transportation service while my vehicle is sitting home just get approval to fix the warranty part for my vehicle I don't thing this company is very reliable or reputable service is next to none good luck if anyone is looking to get this company for ther vehicle service and warranty.

I've paid in $900.00 dollars and my repair was around $900.00 dollars a simple radiator install with parts and they are only willing to pay $400. and change so I have to lay out $600.00 dollars out of pocket, it's a scam don't believe a word they tell you. They will be seeing me again only this time in court.....Give me back my $900.00 and I will pay it myself.

Ace Auto Protect is very aggressive on their pricing and now I know why. I have been without my car since May 13 and today June 26 I finally get a response from them that they will only cover half of my invoice because it was considered regular maintenance! They never answer their phone unless you request a NEW quote which i found out after 6 weeks and my service advisor told me in over 20 years he has never had such a hard time getting a response back! If you are looking for a reputable company I highly recommend you look for another company like what you hear all the time YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! In the case it was total aggrevation!!

Purchased this in April 2024

Purchased this in April 2024. My car blew up (needed a new engine) which they said was a "pre-existing condition" with zero proof. They refused to fix it and I couldn't afford the $12-17,000 repair bill, so I sold the car. Cancelled the policy (only had it a year), and like many others here, am STILL waiting for the refund! This company totally sucks...go with Car Shield. My son had his entire transmission replaced on his 2011 vehicle - car was only worth around $3000 but Car Shield paid the over $5500+ repaid bill.

Liars and Thieves

Please do not purchase an extended warranty from Ace Auto Protect!!! They are a bunch of liars and thieves!! I have been waiting over seven months to be reimbursed for my canceled contract. Ace Auto Protect owes me $1,290.00. When I signed the cancellation form on November 13, 2024 Mr. Thomas Williams assured that my money would be returned. I have called many times and have left voice messages with Mr. Williams, and he has never been respectful enough to return my call. I have also spoken with Mr. Marcus Miller and have gotten nowhere. I am an 80 year old man on a fixed income and these individuals could care less whether I ever get my refund. Last month I spoke with Gena at Ace and she assured me that a check was sent on May 30, 2025. I even asked her to repeat my address to be sure the check was being mailed to the correct address. Today is June 23, 2025 and no check. They must have flagged my phone number, because now when I call I go immediately to voicemail. I don't know what else to do. If there is anyone at Ace Auto Protect that can help, please do.

I purchased the warranty had

I purchased the warranty on March 2024, had issues with my car, repairs were approved and paid on June 2024. they told me I'll be reimbursed for the approved amount, should receive a check, however, as of yet still not received, although, calling and told check in the mail and nothing.

Bad contract, poor service

After having reviewed their contract in detail I decided to ask for a refund within the thirty day grace period. No one replied to my emails for three weeks, ncluding Robert Murray, the agent who promised to respond to any questions or concerns. The contract has more holes in it than a sponge.

I submitted an approved claim back on 12/16/2025. ACE approved the repair through an approved garage, and has not yet paid my claim. I have called numerous times, they claim the check will go out at the end of the month for the last 4 months running and i have not received payment yet. I reached out to Michael Rose, he was the agent that sold me the policy. He was very convincing and i am hoping he will help me get this resolved and get payment on my claim. I will leave further review if he is able to help me reslove.

Scam company

I have been having ongoing issue with Ace auto protect to get my refund back as I had canceled my plan in October 2024. company has not given my refund. now they will not answer my call. when I call, I been put on hold for hours and then they disconnect my call. please do not conduct any business with this kind of company who do have any ethical values.

Don’t waste your money

Don’t waste your money. Company is a scam. I have been trying to get a refund back for 8 months now after Ace didn’t cover the repairs on my car that were within the coverages. Going to small claims against them now!

Update: It has now been a year and they refuse to answer my calls or emails . This company stinks and nobody should do business with the,. They have stolen my money and I will be reporting them to the police for theft.

Signing up was easy and they were responsive. Canceling after selling my vehicle was an entirely different experience. I sent the paperwork in April of 2024 and received no response. I again sent the paperwork via FedEx in late October. They approved my cancelation but as of May 21, 2025 I have yet to receive the prorated refund and they will not take my calls. I have already contacted an attorney and if nothing happens quickly I will file a lawsuit.

DONT DO IT

I regret ever doing business with this company. I paid $3,000 for what was supposed to be an extended warranty that would protect me from unexpected car repairs. Instead, I ended up with a worthless contract and a lot of wasted time.

When my vehicle broke down, I followed all the required steps: contacted them in advance, got the green light, and used a licensed mechanic. But when it came time to pay, they suddenly claimed they couldn’t “verify my coverage.” Just like that, they walked away from any responsibility.

Dealing with their customer service was a nightmare. I was transferred from one person to another, stuck on hold for hours, and given conflicting information at every turn. Eventually, they tried to shift the blame onto me, accusing me of approving repairs without authorization

In the end, I was stuck paying for the $2,400 repair out of pocket, on top of the $3,000 I already spent for the warranty. No reimbursement. No accountability. Just a cold shoulder.

Save yourself the stress and the money. This company is all talk when it comes to coverage and support. You're better off skipping the warranty and setting that money aside for future repairs.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others about this company. I paid $3,000 for an extended warranty thinking it would give me peace of mind. Instead, I got months of runaround, empty promises, and zero help when I actually needed it.

When my car broke down, I followed their procedure exactly, called ahead, got approval, went to a licensed mechanic. Then suddenly they “couldn’t verify coverage” and told me I was responsible for the full repair. I called multiple times, was placed on hold forever, transferred endlessly, and fed excuse after excuse. Each rep gave a different story. At one point, they even tried blaming me for “unauthorized repairs,” even though I did everything by the book.

In the end? I was out over $3,000 for the warranty and $2,400 in repair costs that they refused to cover. No refund, no accountability, just corporate shrugging.

Avoid this company at all costs. It’s a glorified scam dressed up in legalese and false promises. You're better off putting that money in a savings account for repairs. Trust me — you’ll save yourself a massive headache and a ton of money.

I have the right as a consumer to cancel if I am not satisfied

I decided to cancel my policy with Ace Auto Protect after two negative experiences. It became clear that things would likely continue to decline, so I chose to cut my losses and move on.

I contacted a representative at 1-800-293-9223, and within 15 minutes of requesting cancellation, I received the cancellation affidavit and instructions via email. I completed the documents and returned them via certified mail to ensure tracking.

About a month later, I called to confirm whether the documents had been received. I was told they had not yet been logged into the system and that an email would be sent internally to check the mail. I followed up three weeks later and received the same response.

Approximately 2.5 months after sending the documents—around mid-March 2025—I was finally told that the cancellation documents had been marked as received. At no point during this process did the company proactively communicate with me.

Roughly 30 days after that, I called again for a status update and was told that my refund check would be mailed on Friday, April 28. As of May 14, I still had not received the check. I called once more and was informed it would now be mailed on May 30.

I will continue to monitor the situation and update this post with any developments.

UPDATE: As of July 9, 2025, I have not received the refund I am entitled to under my contract with Ace Auto Protect and their signed cancellation affidavit.

Buyers, beware: Based on my experience and the overwhelming number of negative reviews, this company appears to operate like a Ponzi scheme. While a small number of customers report receiving payouts—often reflected in 5-star reviews—the vast majority have had bad experiences, including denied claims, delayed refunds, and poor customer service. This pattern suggests that funds are not available to pay repair shops or honor most claims, which may explain the high denial rate.

I strongly urge potential customers to research thoroughly before doing business with Ace Auto Protect.

This is a scam company. Do not use them. They do not pay claims and they do not refund premium due on cancelled policies. They will blow you off and never return phone calls.

We purchased a 5 yr warranty from them…

We purchased a 5 yr warranty from them and had to cancel 6 months later as we purchased a new car. Ace Auto has a cancelation policy that will pay the refund based on time with contract. We received our cancelation verification email and spoke with someone in October of 2024 that said the refund check would be sent out within 30 - 60 business days. 7 months later and several calls and emails we have received nothing. Called again today and was told it would be sent to their supervisor who would respond within 30 days. A total and complete joke of a company.
