So happy to of joined the accadamy, it's has everything I will need. I needed chizz to learn assistant tasks which they also cover. With the perfect support, and guidance.

In fact I have so much confident in Mike and Jenny I have paid to send him to them for 4 weeks. I know they will do an amazing job.

I was paying for zoom training, which was at a set time, if you have a dog you will know, that your dog will train better at certain times. With all the videos online it means each day you can have free range when you train, and per watch what you need to do to ensure you have a clear understanding.

If you ever need feedback, you are able to send in videos. They also have a post once a week that promotes your wins which I think it's super lovely sometimes it's hard to see the progress when it's very slow.

VIP Facebook group creates a community which is lovely, if it's just people saying we been there or having a great chat on the zoom giving help to others.

Lastly before finding the VIP accadamy I had doubts if chizz would be able to become an assistant dog, just because we don't know what we are doing and charities have such a long waiting list. Now I have a lot more confidence, just because I feel so supported by people that have task on the accadamy which chizz would need to learn. It feel possible. ❤️

Yesterday we picked our almost five month old puppy up from Sandra, after a three week stay. We can’t thank her enough! She worked so hard with him and taught him lots of useful tips and tricks to cope with the world and build his confidence. The handover was great and she supplied really useful videos for us to implement the training at home. Most of all, I want to thank Sandra for the wonderful bond she built with him and the care she took of him. Also for her fabulous updates for us. We can’t recommend her enough

Sending your dog away from home is always nerve wracking but with Katie our dog trainer, there is no need to worry. Our other dogs had previously attended doggy training classes and residential training therefore there was no question that when our new addition joined the family he would be going for a training holiday as well! Katie is absolutely brilliant not only is she knowledgable about what she does but she’s also kind and genuinely cares about the dogs in her care.
Adolescent Dogs request that you fill out a questionnaire prior to your dogs stay which is excellent as it’s an opportunity to let your dog trainer know what you need help with and how they can aid in progressing your dogs training forward.
Being a young pup our priority for Barney was his recall whilst off the lead and heel work when on the lead. Barney loves everyone so it was also important to find a technique that would work to help him concentrate when training!
Katie ensured to keep us updated throughout Barney’s stay with photos and videos of his progress which was really nice to see as always.
The handover was fantastic and I am pleased to say that Barney has made amazing progress in his training journey! Barney learnt all the commands that we were struggling with during his stay with Katie including the ever so important recall! DMT has been an absolute game changer and continuing to practise this is transforming our walks into a positive experience instead of a negative one. Something that is so important about the handover sessions is that adolescent dogs give you the knowledge to continue the training that your dog has learnt during their stay with them.
Adolescent Dogs ongoing support once your dog has returned home is second to none. Not only can you contact your trainer if you are struggling with any commands or just need a refresher but you also have the Adolescent Dogs online training hub. This is marvellous as it provides a library of training videos which can help you continue what your dog has already learnt at residential training and learn new tricks you may want to teach your dog.
Katie is an incredible dog trainer and we would not trust anyone else with our furry babies, they really do have a home away from home when they stay with her! We will be forever grateful that we found Adolescent dogs and Katie, we cannot recommend them highly enough. Our fluffy two are already looking forward to their next stay in the future!

Brilliant online courses. I’m a member of their VIP Training and it’s excellent value for money. So much content and unlike a LOT of other online training you actually get feedback from the actual trainers. You will pry my membership from my cold dead fingers.

I can’t recommend Adolescent Dogs enough: both the online courses and the residential training.

Our puppy came home a week before lockdown in March which meant face to face puppy classes were not an option. I signed up to the online classes which were excellent in themselves. The videos are very clear, and you can watch them again and again to help improve your training. You can also ask the team questions/raise any difficulties you may be having and they are very quick to offer tips and advice.

When our puppy was about seven months old we sent him for three weeks of residential training with Naomi, one of the trainers at Adolescent Dogs. I was pretty nervous about leaving such a young dog with someone neither he or I had ever met. I shouldn’t have worried however, Naomi was fantastic and he had a ball! He obviously thrived on the training and Naomi sent regulars updates, photos and videos of his progress. We were all really amazed at what he’d learned in the time he’d been away.

The handover and follow up sessions have been invaluable. When challenges have arisen - we’ve had a few as he’s hit adolescence - Naomi has had such clear and calm advice which has been so helpful. As she knows him, her advice can be targeted rather than theoretical.

We’ve been so impressed by our experience that we’re planning to send him back to Naomi in a couple of months to build on his training.

Fabulous stay for our puppy simba, The trainer (Sandra) was so warm and she was instantly comfortable. We returned to a very happy and nicely obedient little guy who is much calmer and is keen to keep learning. 
Our trainer (sandra) sent us daily updates and photos of Simba's progress and what they were getting up to, which made it easier on us as owners as we knew he was having so much fun. If we had any questions at all we could ask and would receive a speedy and thorough response. We have received detailed guidance on how we can continue to improve all of simba's new skills. Our trainer has also said that if any problems arise we can get in touch and work through it together which is very reassuring. Everyone at Adolescent Dogs who we had contact with were extremely supportive, as well as kind and understanding. Their knowledge is incredible and they have made clear to us what is important when dog training.
 We have been working on boundaries for a long time, but we almost thought of its impossible, we nearly give up on that, as it was so diffcuilt to manage simba with our young kids but sandra has amazingly changed our little boy simba now,
We highly recommend sandra at adolescent dogs.

Adolescent Dogs, and Naomi specifically, were life changing and life saving for my puppy and me. In four short weeks, she utterly transformed my rambunctious golden retriever puppy from a chaos agent to a responsive, well behaved little girl - with my puppy's bubbly spirit and sweet nature very much at the fore. This was the best possible investment I could make for my puppy and me, and I am forever grateful.

We took part in the online training, I have a rescue dog and I’m a first time dog owner. We attended dog training sessions, bought expensive online dog games, hired a dog trainer and had a number of people giving me their conflicting opinions, resulting in us floundering and the dog feeling unsupported! This last month with adolescent dog training has been enlightening, so much training videos that I can access forever, the videos highlight what could go wrong and how to manage those scenarios, they are professionally made and informative. Jenny and Mike have given incredible amount of feedback when we have shared videos, I can not give them enough praise. Milo is so much better and must feel less anxious as his stools are much improved. I feel incredibly grateful for all they have provided, they are clearly driven not by money but of love for dogs and their well-being. If I could have given 10 stars I would have done.

My review is of the on-line clinics (now the V.I.P. club). Our 2 year old lab was very excitable, and this got worse during lockdown- He just wanted to play with any other dogs he saw, lunging and barking at them - which to other dog owners appeared to be aggression and made walks very stressful. We took 2 clinics and have now joined the VIP club - The videos are very professional, and easy to follow - a few minutes each with very clear instructions. We've incorporated lots of these into our play routine and now our boy is so much more attentive. A work in progress, but he has made real progress and our walks are much less stressful. I was sceptical as to what would be achievable through on-line videos but the support we got and the reviews and comments from Mike and Jenny on our own videos did the trick - Definitely recommended.

We sent our 4 month old cocker spaniel to Jenny at Adolescent Dogs for 3 weeks during lockdown to give him (and us) the best start to his working London life.

I thought it’d be rather beneficial to write this review 6 months later so those who are curious if the dogs retain their training have a little insight.

We’re working professionals and wanted to take our new dog to work each day with us. We’re also an active couple and wanted to be able to take the dog with us on our adventures. It was important that our pup Parker learned a few key things:
* Greeting manners (to avoid jumping on people in the office and tube)
* Settling for the office (a loud, distracting environment)
* Recall and off-leash walking
* Lead walking
* General control queues like “Come”, “Leave it”, “wait”
* Socialisation skills

Whilst it’s super difficult being new dog-parents and missing your pup for 3-weeks, I genuinely can not recommend the experience highly enough.

From the get-go we had access to start the training at home and luckily lockdown meant we had time to spend working on it. Throughout the 3 weeks, we recieved daily photos and feedback on Parker’s progress. And when we picked up our pup we noticed instantly how much more confident he was!

Keeping up the training and consistency of your marker words is key, because we noticed whenever we would get busy (lazy), parenting would get frustrating. Luckily it never lasted long and we’d get ourselves back on track.

My favourite and most useful things Parker has learned:
* Extremely reliable recall
* Checking in on off-leash walks - he never gets too far without coming back to check on us
* “Wait”- doors, food prep, roads
* “Leave it” - this was so important for all the gross things he would pick up on his walks, also a very cool trick.

Parker is doing really great and we are extremely happy with our Adolescent Dog investment! We need to spend some more time on his training in highly distracting environments - although he can settle at home, as the office gets busier he struggles to settle for any reasonable amount of time, but that’s our next stage that we are even considering enlisting the help of Adolescent Dogs again for that.

For a busy working couple, this training has made the inclusion of a puppy into our lives so much easier!

Thank you so much to Jenny, Mike and the team. Our rescue dog Bella came to live with us a couple of months ago, very frightened of people and most things and at one stage we did wonder if we would be able to cope with her. Very reactive and very bright and although I have always had rescue dogs Bella is by far the most challenging. However, after following the Puppy, Reactivity, Naughty Dog and Enrichment clinics we have learnt so much together and she is gradually turning into a fabulous, happy dog. The training and lecture videos are clear and concise and very informative. They have given me the extra skill set I have needed to help train Bella and show her that her new world isn't such a scary place.

I signed up to 3 of the online clinics with my lab pup. They have been fantastic for us and we have made huge improvements. The weekly lives are brilliant, always supportive and informative. Jenny Mike and Verity thank you for all your help and support. Can’t wait to do more courses with you.

We sent our young Norfolk terrier to Bekki for 4 weeks, to help us overcome problems caused by him being a very reactive dog. She gave us regular updates throughout his stay, which was very reassuring. When he returned home, we could see immediately that he had quietened down and was much calmer. When I collected him from Bekki, she explained in detail what particular aspects I should work on, in order to continue the good progress she had made. I had numerous follow up training sessions with her and asked her many questions via email and she was always patient and helpful. I've been absolutely delighted with the results. I couldn't have worked with anyone nicer or more supportive than Bekki. I can't recommend her highly enough!

We sent our adolescent dog who was very reactive to stay with Bekki for four weeks. Sending our dog away from home was inevitably nerve wracking but Bekki immediately reassured us that our dog was in a loving family home. The results of training have been amazing, she is far less reactive and we now enjoy going for walks rather than dreading them. Bekki kept in touch throughout the training and the follow up sessions have been great to train us. Bekki feels like part of our family now!

Hi, we signed up for the online Pupply Clinic when we got our Miniature Schnauzer pup as it had been a while since we had a dog and it has been really helpful. We have been away for a week visiting family abroad so lots of new experiences and she has coped really well. Using our boundary mat to settle her everywhere we go has been brilliant! We had an issue with biting and since we follow the suggestions made at the clinic we haven't had any problems. We learned a lot during the course and would highly recommend to anyone. Have now signed up for the Puppy Plus and Enrichment course as well.

I bought 3 clinics in July; recall, impulse control & Naughty dog. Naughty dog especially has been brilliant for us, as our dog is a keen counter surfer and stealer! I have been working on boundaries for a long time, but just a small change to an elevated bed as suggested was a massive improvement. Thank you Jenny & Mike! I am now going to buy some more :)

Me and my puppy, Beaui, recently finished three of their online clinics (Reactivity, Impulse Control, and Recall), and I have to say they’ve been amazing. Even though I’m a little behind as my dog had to have surgery near the end, and has been on strict rest, he has become much better behaved. He listens better, he understands what I’m asking of him better, and with the fact that the courses are there for life for me to go back to whenever I want is extremely helpful given the situation. The video tutorials they put out are simple, well thought out, creative and very useful, and as they say at the beginning of the courses, each video/lesson is a small piece of the bigger picture, and every lessons makes it clearer. They compliment the great lessons with live Q&A sessions, in which they answer all your questions live and in great detail, as well as excellent lectures which take you through exactly why the training works, and how your dog thinks and sees the world, which is invaluable. This training has given me the tools and the confidence that I can prevent, and handle unfavourable situations, as well as keeping my dog happy, and giving him more confidence out in the world too. I highly recommend using these clinics to everyone, especially those who lead busy lives as the convenience, and QUALITY of these courses is incredible. Jenny and Mike are clearly very passionate about dogs, and training and even with all the people on these courses, they still remember the names of people and their dogs, and the struggles their facing - which to be honest I did not expect from an online course, but they clearly care about every single person they’re teaching. I loved the courses so much, I’ve already purchased another and I plan on doing every course they offer. If I could give Adolescent Dogs more than five stars, I would. We sent our new puppy to Adolescent Dogs at 10 weeks old for residential training to give him the best start. He spent 5 weeks with Kassie, who was absolutely brilliant! She guided him through the key stages of puppyhood and developed his socialisation and confidence. He can now do sit, down, middle, come when called really reliably. He is confident and comfortable settling in his bed and is really good at boundary games. He can walk to heel and we now have the tools to develop this with him further now he's back at home. The handover lessons were really excellent and gave us confidence in how to develop his training ourselves. Kassie was amazing and was so supportive of us in the transition back home. Really wonderful - thank you Adolescent Dogs!!

I have worked through 4 clinics throughout lockdown with our staffador Frankie. We have seen absolutely amazing results with her. We are currently in impulse control and this is really helping massively to improve her focus. Thanks so much to Jenny & Mike 😀

Our whippet puppy Shadow has had the full Adolescent Dogs experience! He did 4 weeks residential training at 5 months with Katie in Guildford. This training has really set him up for life, improved his confidence massively and given us the tools to maintain all the hard work that Katie has put in. Katie has been fantastic, and because our training crossed over into the lockdown gave us excellent videos for the handover at completion.
We have then also taken part in several of the online clinics as follow ups, Puppy, Lead Walking, Recall and just this month the new Impulse Training. We’ve found the Impulse Training to be really helpful. The exercises are more challenging than the other clinics and we are still working though them, but we love the format, short bite sized videos that you can really work on. The ‘lives’ every week are also brilliant and a direct line to Mike and Jenny if you need any guidance. Shadow is a lovely dog made all the better with the help of Adolescent Dogs. Thank you!
