Very disappointing and misleading experience. I noticed that vehicles previously described as having multiple total-loss/write-off histories are no longer having this information disclosed in the listings. When I queried this, I was simply told that listing details are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete and that buyers should carry out their own checks.

If important information such as a vehicle being written off multiple times , cannot be relied upon in the description, buyers are effectively forced to pay for independent checks on every vehicle they’re interested in. Transparency should be a priority, especially at an auction. I found the response dismissive and the lack of disclosure misleading.

I was interested on bidding on a vehicle via the IAA auction site but having never partaken in such a transaction, I was both very wary and also unsighted. I clicked on the chatbox to type to an advisor and I struck gold when that advisor turned out to be a lady named Emily. Emily was incredibly efficient and every question (no matter how trivial), was answered with a lot of due care and attention. She literally walked me through the entire process which made me feel like a valued customer and also respected. I feel very confident now that I have been shown the ropes and I cannot thank Emily enough for her time and patience with me. I would definitely recommend Emily & IAA auction site.
