We recently purchased a property through the Cambridge Bidwells office. They were extremely efficient, helpful and went out of their way to ensure the sale was a positive experience for us. We would definitely recommend them!

I submitted an offer on a commercial property in King Street Cambridge, full asking price for the rent. This was last year. My calls go unanswered, they can’t even be bothered to give me an update,

By taking this unit I would have created local jobs and attracted people from outside the area into Cambridge.

Bidwells have provided an excellent lettings service for us since 2012 and we have no complaints at all. Theirs is a professional service that meets all of our requirements.

We were pleased with both the sale of our house and purchase of our new home in Cambridge. Emails were quickly responded to, and everyone we communicated with was helpful. Through contacts Bidwell's have, we were able to sell our home before it was marketed, and our purchase also went smoothly. I think this is because they're an established firm in Cambridge and know the market well.

I have been very pleased with the dealings I have had with Bidwells over the sale of the apartment. It’s a complicated time with tenants and leasehold issues and the outcome has been satisfactory despite an early offer falling through. They were on the case quickly and things have gone smoothly.

A very supportive team that helped assist me in the sale of my flat. Ollie Rivers explained the process clearly and guided me through the sales process. Izzy Hastings went above and beyond chasing things to help complete the sale as soon as possible. This team are very committed to the work that they do.

In selling our house, Bidwells became our agent inadvertently but we're so glad we stayed with them because Andrew Tucker proved to be a pillar of strength. He is charming, friendly and knows the business inside out. We would not have received the result we did without him. Overall, Bidwells were an really good choice in all areas and we are renting a house through them while our new property is being renovated.

Lovely estate agents who were very understanding and humanising when we explained our unique situation, and helped advocate for us to the landlord, successfully securing us the property, which may not have happened if we had submitted the application without context.

We rented a premium central Cambridge house remotely, whilst living abroad. It was portrayed as being in a quiet, conservation area, largely pedestrianised, no traffic area. This stance was maintained at the remote viewing. When we arrived at the property, we discovered the house is actually on a major bus route and reverberates with each passing bus (100's per day).

In addition to this there was no functional security on windows, no hot water for bath and no functioning oven to cook with. Secondary glazing to mitigate the traffic noise was also broken and the electric fusebox, housed in the cellar, was prone to flooding...

Repairs were made and took between 2-4 months. Some issues are still ongoing. It required me to contact the Council's building Control department in order to elicit a response.

All repair requests had to be made repeatedly (over weeks/months) by phone, WA, email. Many requests were simply ignored and had to be repeated, in order to be fixed.

Its one thing to pay a premium rent for a top notch property. Its another to then have to spend time fixing a landlord's property, after check-in, to the standard that is being paid for, or at least to make the property safe and secure!

Having rented properties, all over the world, for the last 30 years, I have to say I've never felt the need to write a review before or had to employ a solicitor to request for compensation, for things that should have all been done prior to check-in.

No apology has really been made and in actual fact Bidwell's response to my solicitor is to portray me as a rude and discourteous tenant and to offer symbolic compensation of a few hundred GBP. The idea of “doing the right thing”, does not seem to be in Bidwell’s remit.

The Bidwell's experience is one to be avoided. Absolutely horrendous!

Jess and Andrew worked hard to get our purchase over the line, giving prompts to solicitors to get things moving. They both went above and beyond on many occasions, being helpful, supportive, and available. Great customer service, with professionalism and humour.

Recently rented through Bidwells for the first time. The staff at the Trumpington branch were very helpful throughout the tenancy from the start to the end. Particularly of note, Edward our property manager was exceptional and ensured a smooth end of tenancy experience.
