Really disappointed.
I was locked out of my account about 4-5hrs into a 24hr Family Saver ticket. I then had to shell out more to cover further travel for us.
The agents at the customer service team said they would not reimburse me anything and suggested that the ticket had been used on another phone - which I don't understand could be possible as I'm the only one with my account access, and only used my phone for this ticket.
Nothing was given as to the basis of that suggestion other than I'd logged out and logged back into my account.
I'm genuinely surprised this could be allowed to happen.
So I'm now out of pocket, which feels rubbish as money is tight and there's an enduring cost of living crisis. Really rubbish.

The bus tickets are way too expensive in Brighton... For such a small town, public transport is basically more expensive than in London!
It should illegal to charge £3 for a sigle ticket!
After the 100% increase last year, how dare you increase it again now for 2026!!??
It's shocking!
And the £1 (now £1.30) cap for short trips, it's also very confusing as you need to keep asking to the driver how far can you get with the reduced fare.... It would be so much easier and logical, to cap the price to a certain amount of stops.....
I'm am furious! I try to walk everywhere... But with my new job being further I'll end up spending so much money just for transport!
How far /high can you get from this sort of price? Surely you need to stop raising it at some point!
This should be reported by all residents, and boycott the buses... It's just outrageous!

Lewis Vanner claims he cleans the busses but when i went onto the bus after he told me he had cleaned it i sure i saw more white stains on the seats then before. And when i asked him he said he uses his own cleaning up liquid and wont tell me how he makes it.
Could you please explain why for the day you should pay different prices for a day fare? First, 6.60£ in the bus maybe because the driver has so many efforts to do because he needs to print a ticket. Second, 6,15£ because you haven't do it online but with your contactless. Third, 6£ because you are a good and smart girl by doing it online. Once you notice that their buses are so slow that you cannot get to work on time. Sometimes, they decide to stop the bus on their way and ask you to wait for another one. Obviously, because they haven't informed you in advance and you have already paid you are trapped. Let me reassure you nothing even the dirtiness of their buses can compete with any other company. Every single 49 is late, cancelled or arrives in doubles instead of the every 10 minutes they are meant to. Many Bus drivers have got close to hitting me in the cycle lane and at one point one drove out of a bus stop while i was clearly and fairly overtaking causing me to have to drive to opposing traffic. Had to buy multiple ubers because buses skipped my stop and i'm still arguing with the customer service that is equivalent to a brick wall.
Its probably easier to walk the 2 and a half hour walk than to wait for half of the buses that are due at each stop.

I have very serious concerns with this company along with the company who take payments for the school bus passes.
I recently logged a safeguarding complaint, since logging this complaint regarding the treatment of a vulnerable girl aged 11 by a female bus driver, my attempts at purchasing her weekly bus pass has caused me a lot of frustration. Ive basically been charged twice, im not allowed to complain and im being fobbed of with the blame being passed onto my banks, I say banks as I had to pay from 2 different bank accounts and the ticket company wouldnt take payment from both. They eventually did and ive still not got the tickets. So my next step is to contact the bank to get my money refunded.
The female driver that frightened my grandaughter, drove so fast that children were falling over, not enough seating on the bus causing alarm and distress should be dismissed with immediate effect in my opinion.

90% of the time the bus is clean!
Then I had a question, I wrote an email and Ciara, Senior Customer Advisor, gave me an answer right away and help me to resolve a mistake I did on buying a ticket. Customers service is just top.

I can only express my upset & disappointment in the lack of humanity for a driver who closed the doors and drove off as we were running towards the bus in clear view just a few feet away. Completely blanked. It was freezing temperature & likely the last 5A home from the Old Steine. Absolutely no need to treat people like this late at night. It really upset me.

Make it very difficult to get your money back when they overcharge you. They ask specific details and a waste your time. Because of this overcharge, they have to have admin waste their work time which increases your fares. Stupid.
