I rang customer services regarding a loose burner. Carol was very nice and professional and resolved my issue straight away she also sent me technical guides to assist my repair .

I wanted a replacement bag for my safari chef 30 compact, I couldn’t source one anywhere so I contacted Cadac directly. They were super helpful and I now have a bag. They bent over backwards to help me, the customer service was amazing and much appreciated 10/10. Well done !!

Bought a Cadac Safari Chef 30 a couple of years ago for the camper van.
Good design, light, packs small, only really big enough for 2 but that’s what we are.
The push button ignition failed pretty quick, nice to see the newer version is hidden inside the burner. 👍
The downside to this whole set up is the grills laughable “non-stick” coating.
The instructions read to “season” the non stick grill…..
Now, I’ve seasoned various pans, woks etc that were cast iron. But never a non stick coating. Seasoning is creating a non stick coating.
So, chicken is almost impossible on mine. Try it hot with oil, it sticks.
Trying on the coolest setting……it sticks.
This is not just slightly…… this is like a good percentage of the meat becomes charcoal. I’ve read the instructions, I’ve watched the videos. It still sticks like superglue.
Now the clean up. I use Cadacs own brushes so I don’t damage the non stick coating 😂 and still usually need to soak the grill overnight.
So would I buy another …….. I don’t think I would….. unless they sort out the stickiest of non stick I think I look at a different make. Weber here I come.

Ha ha none are actually bbq,s there all hot plate grills not bbq at all
Very disappointed as a bbq needs the meat or fat juices to drip on hot coals or flames so that they sear or ignite to give the food flavour these Cadac units do not do this so the food is not bbq,d and lacks any flavour from flames
Just actually an outside hot plate
Such a shame as they are very popular but also extremely disappointing and definitely not a BBQ

On Monday 16th June 2025 i wrote to report a serious defect where the underside of my Cadac melted . No injury was sustained but this could have been catastrophic. To date 20th pm i have not received any reply. I would have thought that this issue would be a priority .

The ignition failed on my Cadac Safari Chef, the warranty team were excellent. They shared detailed replacement instructions with photographs to confirm that I was happy to fit the faulty part myself, before shipping. The replacement arrived quickly and I was able to fit easily and the BBQ is now fully working again.

The item arrived in good order and was unpacked and contents checked against the provided parts list, all ok. Began assembling at step one {the dome) when it became obvious it needed something not shown on the parts list or assembly diagram to let the two items be secured together. Couldn't figure out what was required so contacted the help desk and then sent them pictures of what I had. It turns out the diagram had been updated at some point but the one I had been provided was missing a part and an assembly step. They agreed to send the required part which duly arrived and I was able to assemble the item which now works really well and am looking forward to many more barbeques. Very helpfull support staff made the issue easy to resolve.

Meine 0-Sterne Rezension bezieht sich auf eine direkte Bestellung im Cadac Shop.
Vorab ist anzumerken, dass die angegebene Lieferzeit "vor 14.00 Uhr bestellt, innerhalb von 1-2 Werktagen geliefert" nicht korrekt ist. Cadac gibt hier schlichtweg falsche Informationen an, denn diese Lieferzeit hält Cadac nicht ein, da aus dem niederländischen Lager per DPD nach Deutschland geschickt wird.
Unsere beiden Pakete kamen somit verspätet und eines der Pakete deutlich beschädigt an. Hierzu der Hinweis, dass Cadac auch schwere Grills in der OVP belabelt und versendet und diese Kartonage nicht für den Paketversand geeignet ist. Wir haben das Paket nach Vermerk durch den Fahrer dennoch entgegengenommen in der Hoffnung, dass der Grill intakt ist und damit er es nicht wieder schleppen muss.
Leider war der Grill beschädigt und nicht reparabel. Wir haben eine bebilderte Reklamation an Cadac gesendet, was übrigens nur per Mail geht, da man im Shop System als registrierter Kunde keine Produktreklamation erfassen kann, sondern nur auf seine eigenen Kosten retournieren. Die Kommunikation mit Cadac ist eine Katastrophe und besteht aus einer Kombination von "kein deutschsprachiger Mitarbeiter verfügbar" (was auf der Webseite aber anders angepriesen wird) und Antworten wie man würde mir ein Ersatzteil senden, was bei unserem Fehlerbild gar keinen Sinn ergab. Die Reaktionszeit für die nicht hilfreichen Antworten liegt übrigens bei mehreren Tagen. Abgesehen davon wer möchte denn ein schon beschädigtes Gerät, das mit GAS betrieben wird, noch verwenden???
Nach mehreren Wochen war Cadac nicht in der Lage uns zwei Retourenlabels (für zwei Pakete!) zu senden, so dass wir uns einen riesigen Karton besorgt haben und beides sorgfältig verpackt retourniert haben. Die Eingangsbestätigung der Retoure liegt auch vor, aber Geld haben wir noch nicht erhalten.
Wir haben tatsächlich direkt bei Cadac bestellt, weil wir dachten direkt beim Hersteller gibt´s den besten Service und es ist die paar Euro mehr Wert. Das war wohl ein Irrglaube, also beim nächsten Mal wieder ein schneller Preisvergleich und irgendwo online beim Händler, wenn man keinen lokalen Campingdealer in der Nähe hat.

We have had the displeasure of purchasing one of these unusable BBQs. Everytime we use it, it sets on fire. It is completely unsafe. When it arrived it had bent grills and a broken bottom tray. After two uses the gas valves have melted as they are made out of the plastic. The whole thing caught on fire. I have been told it is my fault apparently.
Please do not purchase.

I have just taken out my Cadac 30 for the season. It will be it’s fourth year and I’m delighted to say I’m as pleased now as I was the first day I bought it. So easy to clean, very useful. I can Pizza, bbq, stir fry, use it as an oven even. Roadside cup of tea in no time. This is a very neat piece of equipment l wouldn’t be without.
Excellent service replacement parts arrived two days after I emailed them
I have the Cadac 40 Citi chef, twice the fixings for the handle have melted and come detached from the lid. This is clearly a design fault, grease and oil stay within the bbq, and collect very close to burner, this leads to excessive heat and causes the plastic handle to melt and also the plastic surround to begin smoking. I cannot buy a replacement handle from www cadacuk dot com - Cadac UK have not responded to my email sent 10 days ago on 20-January. Stay clear of this BBQ brand - product and support is inferior to the well established BBQ brands such as Weber.
Just upgraded my outdoor cooking unit. I was using my old Cadac for over 3 years now while traveling with my campervan and have just upgraded to the newest Cadac Safari Chef. What a blast to cook on! Easy to clean, very light and solid piece of kit. Really nice to share food and make friends while on the road. Definitely going to stick to Cadac!
Utterly disgraceful service and now being totally ignored by the UK MD. My Cadac double burner caught fire from underneath. Thankfully I never leave gas appliances on their own so a disaster was averted. They have the nerve to want to charge a “discounted” amount to buy a new one from them!! Bearing in mind this one had only been used twice, has been inspected by them after they demanded proof of purchase. Not once have I asked for a refund, just have a working and safe version of my purchase. I have written to their MD, Iain Harris and had no response. There is a principle here and I have no intention of giving up.
We have a Safari Chef 30- I bent and damaged the electrode whilst putting it away in the bag. Contacted Customer Services whom initially sent advice sheets on how to bend it back and reposition. I tried that and partially succeeded but it was cracked. As they suggested, contacted CADAC again and they've sent a replacement electrode free of charge. Thank you Cadac, for the excellent customer service.
