I've just got back from the Bexleyheath branch and i can only say, i think my hairdresser got out the wrong side of the bed! She wasn't rude but she seem to be totally disinterested in the job in hand. She asked me what i wanted done and when i started to tell her, she cut me short and just started to cut. I will say it wasn't a too bad cut but i've had far better done here in the past. After she finished, she rough blew dry, didn't brush the hair out, left it looking to a birds nest, then asks if i was happy!! I told her 'not really' & borrowed her brush so i could at least tidy it up. Needless to say, this will be the last visit i will make to this establishment. BTW some more staff wouldn't go amiss either and preferable ones with a cheerier outlook.

Jess from the Commercial road Portsmouth salon gave me a dry cut. I came out happy. My hair was shoulder length but the ends were over processed from daily straightening irons. Jess did exactly what I had asked for which was for just the dead ends to be cut off. She did a really good job and although there was no extras, what do you expect for £19? Now personality I do not want to sit in some leather chair and offered cups of filtered coffee because after all the price then gets added on to the customer. Yes you do only get what you pay for but truthfully that is all I wanted, a decent cut and that is what I got. I will return at a later date there, I was actually really happy with Jess as a person, she chatted as she cut and her hairdressing skills were good.

I popped in for a root colour today and spontaneously had some highlights put through, followed by a great blow dry. Anya (I hope I’ve got that right!) did a fantastic job, she was so professional and experienced. I’m so happy with the colour, it was such good value for money and I enjoyed the experience. I’d definitely return! 🤩

Torquay cellys is aweaone place if i could gve 10 stars i would.i only go to emma as she been doing my hair for a few years all staff in there are polite ..me emma always have a laugh when im i there for 5 -6 hours having my hair done shes an amazing stylist nothink is ever too much trouble always up for a challenge..always seems to amaze me.so look forward to having my hair done by emma we have an amazing freindship like sisters that im 1000per cent trusting that ill let her amazing eye for style to take over always said she should have a pay rise for the amazing job she does on me everytime xx thanks again emma u awesome x

Went to Cellys today for a trim.
When I walked in the door, i was greeted by a mix European lady at the desk. I asked for a wash cut which was 35 I said what aa bout a blowdry? She replied they don’t do blowdry but is an extra £10? decided just to go for just a wet trim which was 25 as didn’t want too much off as I have long hair. I then walk over to the chair and about 4 or the other workers were just staring at me. The whole time. I kept my cool and said nothing. I sat in chair and she combed my hair a little and started hacking at my hair straight away. She didn’t even part my hair properly she used a hair clip instead. She then parted my hair in half and began to cut the bottom. She was literally done in 3 minutes!! The lady brushed my hair to the front and started cutting it like a bit of paper. She then said you are done. I said can I see the back of my hair as I feel you have rushed it a little bit and the front does t look very straight and there was A little bit missing. I was never once rude to her either. She then questioned me and said why. Then goes on to say all you people are just the same?! Whatever that meant but clearly don’t like English peoples in her shop. and the other workers were still staring at me with a smirk on there faces. I simply said I was not happy with the hair cut. She then said if you don’t like it, get out. So that’s exactly what I did and went else where! No way was I Paying £25 for a bodge haircut. You don’t deserve to have a shop here just trying to rip customers off. zero stars for me and defo won’t ever return here even if it’s for a trim!!

I saw Steph at Celly's Horsham branch, and she was great. Before I sat down, I explained that I only wanted a very light trim, no more than 1cm off. I have said this to hairdressers in the past but left with a lot more cut away!
Steph listened to what I asked and, before she started cutting, showed me the amount she was going to cut so that I could confirm what I wanted. Before cutting the sides and front, she stopped again to discuss the length and what she thought would be best.
Steph was a great listener and patient, advising me on growing my hair and caring for it. THANK YOU Steph.

If I could give a negative number I would!! DO NOT USE!

I had been using Cellys Chichester for many years to have my hair cut and coloured and had a regular hair dresser whom I loved!

However- December 2022 I had to have a lady named Cara at the Chichester branch cut my hair. I told Cara that my usual lady only allowed the bleach on for 18/20 minutes, so to avoid too much damage. Would Cara listen? No she wouldn’t, she left the bleach on my hair and well to cut a long story short, I’ve been left with CHUNKS of hair missing, what’s left is broken damaged and disgusting. Have I had an apology from her when I know for a fact her and other members of staff know this was her mess up? No I haven’t.

Anyway fast forward to now, I’ve been taking very good care of my hair, no colouring ect just regular trims and treatments to gain healthier hair!

I went into the Bognor store on Monday the 1st of my for JUST a SLIGHT trim… I explained the the male hair dresser (I believe his name was mark) that I wanted minimal hair to be taken off, just a tidy up of the edges (my hair was just absolve shoulder length at this point) he placed my head down and began to cut. I lift my head to find he had cut my hair up to my ear and the back of my neck is now fully exposed and I’ve been left with a males hair cut instead of the long Bob I always have.

I am devastated- I explained this is not what I asked for to which we all realised it was too late the damage had been done.

I have cried for the past 2 hours over this as I was already so self conscious about my broken damaged hair that now I had a length and style I 1 did not ask for and 2 absolutely hated.

Cellys is the worst hair dressers I’ve ever experienced and I can truly see why they’re so cheap. Usually I can over look the filth and poor mannered staff however my previous 2 experiences have left my blood boiling- disgraceful

I know it may seem worth visiting this salon due to the price but it is not worth it and will cost you so much more in the long run! I went in with a £300 weave fit and asked just for some volume to be cut in as I was passing by and also wanted some bangs. The lady called Lee absolutely ruined my hair and has now meant I had to have over 4 inches cut off, the way in which she cut the layers in I have never seen before and the salon I visited after could not believe it. Even the Second Lady that tried to fix it still did not cut it to the correct standard needed and I have had to get further help from another salon. The customer service provided was absolutely disgusting! Please take my advice and go elsewhere as I really regret it. They also could not offer me a refund in store so I am going through legal procedures to try and get my hair extension money reimbursed as head office will completely ignore you!

I went in to Cellys and said i wanted highlights and a bob haircut, the hairdresser was so rude telling me that i couldnt have 40v peroxide as she would refuse to do this, I said that i always have 40v and surely its the only way to lift the hair? i have always had 40v but i went along with what she said and of course it has come out a horrible orange colour, why thay dont use 40v is beyond me as i used to use 60v! which i know is banned now. THEN she said that it wouldnt cover the small bit of grey and to go home and think about it? i was surprised as i certainly wasnt being difficult at all, she put 11 foils in and said it wouldnt cover much and demanded to know what did she want me to do? i asked for her advise but she shouted that its up to me and shes not there for advise. i ended up having three lots of foils as all i wanted was half a head full which she said they dont do. i opted out for a blow dry as it was extra and said can i just have it dried to go out of the shop but she said no. i got home and i noticed that one side was about two inches longer one side than the other..and no layers on one side. i asked for short layers on the top and said that a lot of hairdressers dont seem to do short layers now and she said ..yes they do, they will do what you ask for...she just was not interested and rushed throught the process and didnt want small talk also charged me far more than expected it should have been £57 i ended up paying £ 90..it was £86 she said should i take for £90! i can honestly say it was a bad experience and i would never go back into that branch

Had a full hair of high lights by iwona very welcoming friendly and often giving coffee.the results was amazing .very good stylish and I would reckonmend this hairdresser to anyone who needs advice on hair .brilliant results ..over joyed!!

Yet again had a great haircut from Susan,Al staff though are friendly and helpful,not having to make an appointment and the prices bieng good makes life so much easier,

Celly's Poole High Street - Had my long hair washed and cut last week by a Hungarian lady at a cost of £18. Was told by a man (presumably the manager) that a blow dry was an extra £5. However I declined this option. Based on these prices my daughter went in for a wash, cut and blow dry this morning. She was charged £35. She didn't have enough cash so had to leave her bags there to withdraw some money from the nearby bank. She was embarrassed and confused as to why she had been charged more. I phoned up the salon and spoke to several stylists and the manager. Turns out a blow dry is an extra £18. You could buy a hairdryer for that price. The dry I was quoted for is a rough dry. They need to make sure everyone knows the prices and what they relate to. Lesson learnt. Next time we'll look on Groupon.
