Fabulous cottage, very quiet, close to the Monsal Trail for any cyclists/walkers. Standard of the decor, furnishings etc well above standard. Excellent customer service when a problem arose - dealt with very efficiently. Area itself is beautiful. Husband very upset he forgot his fishing rods - the garden is lovely and right next to the water.

Classic Cottages are a great company to book with. Higher standards than other companies and would definitely recommend if you like your surroundings to be beautiful, traditional when called for, yet modern and high spec. With cleanliness being of utmost importance. If this sounds like you, definitely book through classic.

We enjoyed a fantastic holiday at 10 Shanklin Manor. Booking was easy via Classic Cottages. The apartment exceeded our expectations, absolutely stunning. It’s within walking distance to Shanklin village. The manor is set in peaceful surroundings. The private terrace is an added bonus to this amazing apartment. Would highly recommend both Classic Cottages and 10 Shanklin Manor.

We had a superb holiday at Seacrest which is ideally suited for the larger family especially its location, booking with Classic cottages was easy and a pleasure to deal with.

We stayed at Goofyfoot for the third year running this year. We were so disappointed with the way the property had been left to deteriorate. Paint flaking off the exterior and interior walls. Black mould spores left by a fan in the hallway.
The garden left un maintained with over grown trees and bushes, the grass hadn’t been cut recently, so we were left to walk between the weeds that were growing.
The property did not have a TV that could even get a decent terrestrial channel, we had mentioned this during our stay previously and we even had someone to look at the TV during our stay that year but that had deteriorated as well.
Classic cottages did eventually send us a fire stick, to update the TV ourselves as it was Euros 24 and my husband and father wanted to see England play. Following several phone calls and double checking that we had tried all scenarios to get a terrestrial channel, they realised nothing else was going to work.
We also called the customer service number to inform them the jets in the jacuzzi bath didn’t work but they didn’t progress this. We just had to use it without the jets for our holiday.
It was clear that the property had also not had a thorough clean as we pulled back one of the sofas to better see the TV only to find dirt underneath
The bbq in the garden had been left with cigarette ends in and we had to clean the wire grill using it, we left it in a clean state as one would hope to fine it.
The property had lost the wow factor we had found on our first stay which was sad to see.
We fed all these things back to Classic Cottages in the survey they asked us to complete and the comments were constructive and meant as help in trying to ensure the property was serviced and put back to its former good state.
A month after our return we received a call from customer services to say the owner “has blocked you from staying in future”. This was unbelievable!
Lucky for us we had cancelled our deposit and booking for 2025 as we had been put off staying at the property again!
Also, I noticed my review was not published on their website by the properly page. In fact there are no reviews for 2024 which is very strange and must be telling about the demise of Goofyfoot.
Very sad and disappointing from a family who are regular customers and who just expect a decent standard of quality for what they pay for!

Absolute amazing property! Couples, when I say it's amazing, I mean it's amazing!! Fire heated hot tub, wood burner fireplace, everything you need for a BBQ (minus the food) small allotment with a supply of fruit and veg. A small wooded cabin with everything you need for a great getaway.
The local pub was traditional and very welcoming by the locals.

Easy booking. Clear instructions. Accessible via phone to confirm arrangements. Definitely recommend.

Saw Mill cottage far exceeded my expectations. I have never stayed in such a well appointed self catering property. It was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. It is a property we would more than happy to return to.

We stayed at Sunset Cottage in Wighton, North Norfolk. The cottage was spotlessly clean and airy, extremely well equipped with everything we needed for a self catering holiday, comfortable and a good size. The location was quiet and rural and there were excellent parking facilities.
We needed some advice from Classic Cottages a couple of times during our stay and they were approachable, easy to reach and very pleasant and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. We had a lovely holiday!

Classic Cottages made booking very simple and followed up promptly with emails as promised. The cottage we stayed in was lovely and as described. I consider they are quite discerning in the choice of properties they offer so I would feel confident that future bookings will be just as lovely.

Excellent experience using Classic Cottages. Very easy to book and given the options of payments by instalments. Excellent communication especially by the out of hours team when we had some issues at the property. These were resolved quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend and use them again.

The property was exactly as we expected and hoped for! It was very very clean and well presented, and had everything we needed! The location was ideal for our stay, in that it was right in the middle of Devon, so ideal to travel to all the locations you want to get to, both North & South (not too far to any of them). The outlook was amazing, with a huge amount of wildlife with tonnes of birds, bats, hedgehogs and deer in the field everyday! It was also very quiet, and the facilities were great, with a brilliant BBQ, great hot tub, pool table, games room, and all the rooms were massive, and as I say very clean. The host was great, but just left us alone tbh - he was close by if needed, but everything was great, so we were left alone. Scones, jam and clotted cream on arrival was brilliant too. A couple of nice pubs not too far away, and the shop is only a mile down the road. A highly recommended base and place to stay!

First time we have used this company and very pleased with experience. Simple booking, responsive, accommodating and generally a pleasure to deal with.

Do not use this company!!!! We booked Merivale cottage with classic cottages for our accommodation on the Isle of Wight.Our eldest daughter participates in a sailing course in Sea View. We placed a £700 deposit to secure the date in July. The sailing course dates changed which was totally out of our control. We tried to change our dates for the accommodation the owner/agency refused to accommodate this movement of dates. Even though we gave plenty of notice and were super flexible on the dates. We then said we could no longer take the cottage unless there was a change of dates or we had time to find someone else to take cottage. The agency refused to give us this flexibility. The agency said we would have to lose our £700 deposit even though they would secure another booking. It is the worst experience I have ever had with a holiday rental company. Don’t use this company you will regret it.

Beautiful garden. Cottage was very well equipped & very comfortable. Felt like a home rather than a holiday let. Very easy to book with Classic Cottages. We had a lovely week.
