Scam website, took £14, then discovered it was only £8 and I was exempt anyway

Bath delivering 1st time. I had used the clean air zone , went to google on my phone went to a website top of google 1st site I came Bath Clean air Zone clicked on it to put in reg told me I had to pay 12.50 which I paid with my phone while sat in Bath this was a scam site that should never have been allowed to be above the original site. I have now been sent 180 fine for 9 GBP that I paid had a recept called bath city council who took all the info sent recept bank screen shot he emailed me to say he was emailing all this over and they no about the site I then sent all the evidence never herd any thing so assumed that the call to Bath had sorted this out along with all paper work I was very wromg now its gone up to 180 we deliver in Bath but now the drivers are refusing to deliver there as there fed up with all this surly Bath city council have a duty to make sure its not a scam it would take 2 mins each morning but they seem more intrested in the fine they will get they new about this but did nothing to stop it. if the delivery drivers stop going to Bath how do you think the local traders will think there will be nothing in the shops Due to drivers refusing to deliver there.

Scam website, which came up before the official gov.uk website on a google search. This goes to show that google isn't a search engine, it's a giant advertisement board you can pay your way to the top of. They caught me out as I'm a new driver; my credit card company sorted this, but I hope other people will be as vigilant to check.

Scam. Reported to my bank who stopped the payment luckily and now the website has disappeared and is no longer the top result on google…hopefully nobody else will get caught by this.

I've been scammed by this company. They tell you you need to pay when you don't.

0 stars. SCAM. All the signs in Birmingham say Clean Air Zone so you Google that. Get this site. I expected my car not to be charged and assumed the site would tell me. It said £12.50 charge so I paid. Disgusted at the charge I did some more research and realised I did not have to pay. Birmingham City Council and the Government need to do something as this is a con and hundreds must be getting caught out. Fingers crossed for a refund but don’t hold out much hope. Will now avoid any cities with CAZ. Whole thing is a massive con.

This is a scam. Pretends to be a legit site but the real charge is £0 for my car rather than their quoted £12.50. Check the government website for the correct info.

This is scam- I'm not even sure how Google Ads allow it. They pretend to be 'official' and still take money even if the charge isn't applicable.
Always check on the Gov website first to see if your car qualifies and don't rely on these people to do it honestly.

This is a scam. I paid these people 12.50 last month for a 24-hour stay, and was about to pay today for a 2-hour stay and found they wanted the same amount. On further digging on the official government clean-air site, I found I don't have to pay at all.

DON’T PAY CHECK FIRST

Just be careful -site looks legitimate but it isn’t and there’s nothing Birmingham City Council can do as they apparently don’t get the money either. Check Gov website to see if your car is exempt if it isn’t it’s £8 per day paid directly to them.
Your bank might be able to help you get the money back but that’s about all you can do.

Scam. Was fined £120 reduced to £60 for using my car that I already pay tax on to drive through this clean air zone in Birmingham centre. I was more aggrieved and frustrated that I genuinely did not know or realise I had to pay, im not from Birmingham I didnt know Birmingham and with it being a busy city my eyes were on the sat nav and road that I was following so was completely unaware as id never heard of a chargeable clean air zone where I am from. Disgusting and will never go to Birmingham again. Ive paid the fine as id rather have it cleared than have the worry of the fine doubling or even trebling aswell as court proceedings that could follow if your appeal is unsuccessful so for the sake of £60 I'm not longer feeling under stress although as you can imagine rather annoyed with Birmingham city council !! Money making SCAM

As per the other users reporting this is a scam. Do not pay these people anything. Report to your credit card company.

Scam, I was driving through bath and this was the first link that came up for the ‘Clean Air Zone’ they won’t give me a refund even though they have done nothing.

SCAM! Do not use this site. I cannot understand how this site is the first one that comes up on Google, it is criminal. Upon realising my mistake I contacted them and told them that I would be raising a dispute with my bank and they have said they will refund...time will tell. EDIT - If you have been paid this company email and tell them you want a refund.Upon realising my error I requested one and received it.

Absolute scam. This is Mis-representation. I feel they are breaking the law. The wording is extremely opaque. My partner accidentally paid this for me today while I was driving a car that was not liable. Unless a refund is received I will be perusing them in court.

What’s worse is that Birmingham city council know about this.
Whilst waiting for your your evidence of payment to this scam website, (£8 per daily charge) they then state that you have gone over the 14 day discount period and have to pay the full £120 PCN.
Birmingham city council are penalising innocent people off the back of this scam so be aware!
