Clement Browne Avis 

We originally placed our order in early Nov 2020 and were eventually fitted in April after Covid & Brexit delays which we accepted. The gentlemen who came to fit our blinds seemed very put out that he'd had to drive from London to Bristol for the fitting & was 2hrs late as a result. He seemed very pleasant, tidy & efficient but became very offhand when he asked me to sign off blinds with tools etc in hand & I said I'd like to check them first! Considering these are not cheap blinds you would realistically expect them to open & shut & block out the light. Ours do neither of these things correctly - some of the slats are warped and do not close flush & downstairs blinds do not open & shut as catch on our sash window finger pulls despite being made to measure. So to be fair they did agree to replace downstairs blinds & sections that are warped but we're now in Sept after another cancelled appointment 11 months on. I am keeping my fingers crossed the replacements due to be installed in 10 days time are 100% ok but I have lost faith at the moment in this company with the many excuses. I hope they prove me wrong.

We are really pleased with the shutters and the communication from Clement Browne regarding the delay in the shipment (not their fault due to Brexit issues etc). We would definitely use them again.

We are very pleased with our new shutters and the service was excellent. The only downside was the delay in getting them made and delivered to the UK, which was outside Clement Brown's control. We were kept informed of progress throughout. Shutters are of a high standard and reasonably priced,

I will try to be fair here - the two things we wanted were timely delivery & better blackout in the bedrooms. They failed dismally on both - they were delayed over 2 months & despite absolute assurances the blinds would be better than our existing, it is so bright in the morning it is like nothing is there.
They look quite good but for the price I'd hope for better.
Customer service is a poor - full of excuses point blank refusal to accept any responsibility.
Overall experience is regret and I would not recommend them

It's always a leap of faith choosing a company that is not 'one of the big ones' even if their reviews look ok. However I'm pleased I did so. After a wait due to shipping delays, Louie came to install my plantation shutters. He was efficient, tidy, and took time out to answer any questions I had and explained things well. The shutters look really lovely and I am impressed with the way Louie fitted them. Period houses have their challenges and Louie worked well to ensure the best fit. Thank you to the team involved from start to finish:Everyone responded promptly to the few queries I had and were able to keep me informed regarding the inevitable shipping delays. I wholeheartedly recommend Clement Browne for plantation shutters.

Had a fantastic experience with Clement Browne. Had to wait a little longer than expected for delivery and an extra 4 weeks to book in a fitting service but overall really happy with the look and quality of the shutters. Really quick response times too via email, would recommend.

Fantastic experience with Clement Browne! They came to our house to measure up for shutters. Offered really knowledgeable advice, it was such a great experience. John our Master of product, was so personable and had a really extensive knowledge of their products. We were worried if shutters would even be possible because of our wonky cottage windows, but John really put us completely at ease. Clement Browne kept us updated and we had the shutters fitted recently. They are all fitted and checked by the Master of Product, on site. We had Venetian blinds before and had no idea how much brighter our home would be with shutters. I would definitely recommend shutters and especially Clement Browne to anyone considering shutters. The shutters are beautifully made and the service is second to none!

Great Service throughout. Whilst the initial problem was with a faulty blind that broke after about 6 months - the team have been superb at getting it put right. Excellent communication and the fitters of the highest and friendliest of standards 10/10

Although we had to wait longer than expected , the end product made it worth the wait. The service from the unpressured sales with an instant price to the fantastic fitter who had so much pride in his work . Other than the shutters you would not have known he had been. He was with us all day as we had all the house done. The quality of the product and the finish surpassed our expectations .The price was also very good

Excellent service from the moment we contacted Clement Browne to installation. Their customer service is outstanding and their shutters are great quality and at a reasonable price. We were recommended to this company by family members who have used them in the past, and are so pleased with our shutters. Would not hesitate in recommending them to others.

Amazing quality blinds however fitted incorrectly so we are unable to open up the shutter doors flush to our living room walls therefore they always have to remain closed, this is an issue on a Sunny day. We did enquire about getting them moved but we're advised that by moving the internal frame would damage the blinds. This is extremely disappointing after spending a lot of money on the blinds, we have several other windows to fit but don't feel that we can use Clement Browne again.

Just had my second lot of shutters installed by John of Clement Browne. Very pleased with the whole process, from the continuity of the measuring up and installation being done by the same person, consultative approach, quality shutters and the house being left as it was found (i.e. clean and tidy!).

From booking the appointment to having my shutters fitted the whole process was seamless. I was always kept up to date and never left wondering what was going on. The lovely woman I spoke to on the phone is truly a credit to your company - thank you Clement Browne I will definitely be getting more shutters soon!

Excellent job done by Mike, was really impressed. Very professional, & tidied up after job complete. When we contacted the staff for information they were really helpful and honest about waiting periods potentially changing due to covid. Overall really pleased with the service and would highly recommend!

Quite possibly the worst experience from any company ever. Full of lie after lie after lie. They do not deliver within the specified time, yet have the audacity to ask for full payment. Will use Covid as an excuse for bad bad service. Do not believe their 10 week installation guide. It’s more like 6 months if you’re lucky. Absolutely hate this company and every staff member associated with them.

In September 20 I ordered 4 shutters from this company. I had to give them a deposit if almost £3000.
I discussed at length with the sales person that I wanted to be able to open the top of the shutters in living room and kitchen. A second appointment was arranged to verify her measurements. I did not discuss this with this person as I thought it was just to check measurements. I signed for the shutters without further discussion.
Shutters were to be ready in 8 weeks and they were delivered to England in November between lockdowns but I was not given a installation date.
The UK in November/December went into full lockdown.
After Xmas 2020 I was given the 20 January as the installation date and paid the remaining balance which was almost £500. Of course we went into another lockdown and Clement Browne would not travel to N. Ireland as they state that shutters are not essential and are a luxury item and they would not put staff at risk. In the meantime they were continuing as usual in England. So I had handed over £3500 and had no blinds.
I offered them 3 options:
1. Refund my money
2. Subcontract the installation of shutters
3. Deliver and install shutters themselves
All of which they refused.
As for subcontracting the job they suggested I arrange and pay for the delivery on top of what had already been paid.
I contacted Trading standards who stated Clement Browne were in breach of contract and should be honouring their contract. However Clement Browne still refused to travel to N. Ireland.
I had posted a review before and someone from the company commented that I had been offered 'temporary' blinds which I was not. And anyway how would temporary blinds be installed if they wouldn't travel to install the shutters!
At last on 7 July 21 the shutters were installed. The fitter was very professional and cleaned up well. However as he was fitting the living room and kitchen I noticed that they didn't open at the top. Fitter checked immediately with head office and 'full length' had been ordered not tiered as discussed.
When I commented on this Clement Browne said that the second sales person had advised me I would not be able to have tiered shutters. This conversation did not happen!
The shutters are really great but not what was discussed.
This is a terrible company and I have never had such a bad experience.
Do not use this company.
