Kent area - avoid!! Never even got my laptop back, I gave up waiting and bought a new one.
Update - thank you for getting back to me. I did say to him that I didn’t want it fixed after several weeks of waiting for a response and getting told will let you know soon. When I said not to worry and that I had to buy a new one for my work I was told I’d need to pay a fee for the repairs so far to get the laptop back or just pay 180 for the fix with new parts. I decided to go ahead with the fix and agreed for the £180 fee then heard nothing back from them and gave up contacting, as I had already spent several weeks trying to find out what was happening with the laptop before this. This process took months and there was also miscommunications about the earlier fixes that had been tried (I never received quotes that another engineer had told me over the phone I would be sent).
After leaving this review I received further messages from the engineer telling me how it was unfair me leaving the review and that I was already told that the fix wouldn’t work (I was never contacted to be told this) and demanding an address to return it. I was never told that the fix wasn’t going to work, the last I had heard a part was being fitted for £180 and I didn’t hear anything else after that. After they took so long to sort the rest out I didn’t want to have to chase it up any more. I was never given any sort of timeframe for any of the work.
If he had contacted me weeks after and apologised that he had forgotten to let me know that it wasn’t fixable I would’ve been understanding, I think it’s the fact that I’ve had no apology and been blamed myself that has disappointed me.

After looking into this with your local technician and reviewing the communication history, we would like to clarify the facts and timeline.
You originally dropped your laptop off with your local technician in person and did not leave a delivery address. It was determined that your device required a replacement motherboard sourced from China, which would take a number of weeks to arrive.
Before the part arrived, you contacted the technician to advise that you had purchased a new laptop for work and wished to cancel the repair. Following that conversation, no further contact was made regarding collection, and nearly two months passed before this review appeared.
Your technician has subsequently reached out to arrange returning the laptop to your home, but we understand you declined to provide your address and made it clear that you did not want the laptop returned.
It is unfortunate that some repairs may take time due to the logistics of obtaining parts, but we are pleased to hear that you weren't without a working laptop for too long.

Gareth arrived on time as arranged and quickly set about installing my printer. Not only did he achieve this in a slick professional manner but made good all the errors and poo traps I had fallen into in my attempts in install it. He then, tested it and asked if he could help with anything else. I wouldn't look any where else for help with my computer in future.

Excellent service from start to finish
We had our PC repaired here after a motherboard fault, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. Collection and delivery were free and well organised, and Tom kept us updated throughout the process.
The price quoted was fair and there were no surprises along the way. The computer now works and looks brilliant. Highly recommend this team for anyone needing a reliable, honest repair service!

Scratched, longer than quoted, more expensive than quoted
Originally the diagnostic took longer than quoted by a few days. Then when the problem of the laptop was diagnosed I was quoted £122 - fine. It took over 3 weeks from the point of collection to redelivery. Upon redelivery the price was £144 and the laptop is now scratched from the old track pad being taped to the top and being treated with very little care. Wouldn’t recommend

We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the service, although we do feel it is important to clarify a few points.
The quoted repair cost was £120 plus VAT, making the total £144, which is the amount charged. We understand there may have been some confusion around the VAT element, and the technician has offered to return the £24 difference as a gesture of goodwill.
Regarding the timescale, our understanding is that you were advised at the outset that the required trackpad needed to be sourced and that this was expected to take around 2 to 3 weeks. The repair was then completed within that expected timeframe.
We are also sorry to hear your comments about scratching to the laptop. Your laptop was returned around 10 days before this review was left, and this concern had not previously been raised with us, so we had not been given the opportunity to resolve it for you. The technician involved has since contacted you directly and offered to replace the affected part free of charge.
We always appreciate the opportunity to resolve any concerns directly, and in this case both the price concern and the reported cosmetic issue were addressed with offers of remedy on the day this review was posted. We understand that neither offer has been taken up at the time of this reply.

Local, Reliable and Friendly? I think not.
Ten days after submitting my request for support - which as it happens was advertised as a ‘same-day service’ - I am still waiting for the Local, Reliable and Friendly technician to bother to get back in touch to book an appointment.
Initial enquiry on 21 May and automated reply saying it had been logged and someone would be in touch.
Emailed on 23 May and received a response from Omar stating he had been busy and would be in touch on Monday 25th.
It’s now the 31st.
It’s not like I rely on my laptop for working from home or anything.
Terrible ‘same-day’ service and nowhere near Reliable!

There were availability issues with the technician covering your area at the time, but this should have been communicated to you promptly so you could make alternative arrangements without further delay.
