I've had a wonderful experience with Connectd--both with the team there and all their support and communication, and with my advisors. I've now been working for months with an advisor on DTC/e-comm and he's been so insightful and supportive, not only on the project at hand, but just as a voice and someone to bounce ideas around with. We have been working virtually, but on a recent trip over to London (I'm based in New York) we were able to meet up and work together in person and it was so fun. I also have a more recent financial advisor who also have such an easy rapport with and has proven very supportive. I feel like I've built lasting relationships with the connections made by Connectd, and that comes down to their team really listening and helping make those connections and placements. I look forward to continuing my work with my advisors through Connectd and hope our working relationships last even beyond. I highly recommend Connectd as a service for helping small and building companies grow their support and teams.

The course is well made and provides great content. The Connectd staff are polite and professional. They found me a placement as promised on the course.

I joined Connectd looking for a new way to put my experience to work with founders and growing businesses. After completing the Board Advisory course through Connectd Academy, I was matched with Stefan, founder of Artfol, for a three-month advisory engagement and it turned out to be a great match. We worked together weekly, and I went into the relationship thinking about what my experience could bring to his business. What I hadn’t anticipated was how much I would learn in return. Our initial engagement has now ended, but the relationship hasn’t! We’ve chosen to continue meeting monthly and nurturing what we built. I’ve also really valued the wider Connectd experience, including being matched with Hidai Degani as my mentor. For me, that’s the value of the platform: Connectd makes the introduction and creates the opportunity for genuinely meaningful professional relationships to grow from it.

My experience with Connectd could not have been worse. The terms and conditions were not made clear when I was persuaded to pay for what was presented as an opportunity to access fractional work opportunities through their network.

In reality, the main offering appears to be an online course, similar to content that can be obtained for far less through platforms such as LinkedIn Learning. Even the charge description on my card reflected an online services purchase rather than an employment-related opportunity, additionally they tried to increase the amount charged without any previous notice, then I decided to cancel the services, and they have implemented every maneuver they could to keep pe prisioner of their services, causing me a lot of grief.

What was not adequately explained is that the membership is time-limited and requires ongoing payments to remain on the platform and retain access to potential opportunities. In my experience, the number of relevant fractional roles available was very limited, particularly in my area of expertise (Industrial Engineering)

As an experienced professional, I would strongly advise others to exercise caution before joining. I believe the value provided does not justify the cost, and I do not consider this business model sustainable in the long term, if you work for them my advise is to get another job.

Zero customer service support. I’ve been auto renewed even though I signed up on the basis that there would be no auto renewal as I cannot afford the continued service. I’ve tried to contact the company but there appears to be no way to get in touch. No working telephone number for customer services and no response to my emails. I will be seeking reimbursement for this auto-renewal. Avoid signing up with this company!

I was given a sell about how good the process was. The training was useful but i didnt really learn anything.

I did find that the network of founders wasnt particularly relevant to me. Also, i sense the screening of founders could be better as the person i was connected to was very unreliable and unresponsive. The response to this by the company was hugely disappointing. I recommend anyone considering joining to do thorough due diligence

I joined Connectd to learn about board advisory and fractional roles and I have not been disappointed. The training materials are well done and answer the types of questions that I had about how to start a business for myself as a fractional executive and grow it. I have found the placement with NewKroo to be very rewarding because I get to use my skills to help a new business owner improve their offer. I've also enjoyed meeting the other members of the board and learning from their expertise. The team at Connectd has provided ongoing support and I'm excited to continue making connections through their network of founders, start-ups and other Connectd advisors.

Following my review below Connectd got in touch and agreed the experience had been poor. They have now reset my mentor time and reset the placement so I am over three months in with no mentoring or placement. I have twice asked for a refund but I have been told this is ‘not possible’ which is slightly disconcerting and makes you wonder what the cash flow of the business is like. I have also offered a partial refund which would allow Connectd to retain 1/3 of the fee to cover the costs of the ‘training course’ and have also been told this is not possible. Connectd want in all cases to keep your money regardless of the service they provide, their sales staff use pressure tactics such as ‘impending cut off dates’ to get you to sign up and then it goes quiet or you’re offered placements that are completely unsuitable. If you quote the Consumer Rights Act you’re told that it is a B2B transaction even though I am not a business and as I have not previously been a board advisor this would be training to enter a new industry and therefore would be covered by the Consumer Rights Act. Disgraceful.

Roll up to get your snake oil.

This company prey on the hope of a career change and use slick sales people to get your money. After that sadly too late you realise the ‘training’ material is of literally no use and the placements are unlikely to match your skill set unless you’re an accountant.

My mentor has now left Connectd so I need a new mentor.

As mentioned above the training material is insultingly simple and does nothing to enhance the skills of anyone who has a reasonable level of professional work experience.

My placement feels forced, it is an incredibly early stage pre revenue company in a sector I know very little about. On the sales call I was promised my own sector was one of the most popular for placements and it would be no problem securing a placement within my own field but sadly this just isn’t the case.

I have wasted £2,880 - please don’t make the same mistake

A great platform connecting advisors and startups, with a strong networking hub, access to high-quality talent, and a very well-structured community. It makes it easy to build meaningful connections and find the right people and opportunities.

I think Connectd executed on what I was looking for in the intro Advisory program. It was flexible learning at your own pace and a combination of videos and learnings that helped get you prepared for an advisory engagement. The website and platform are continually improving and adding startups so it's becoming a comprehensive ecosystem. I'm having success in my first advisory engagement and enjoying the work. Overall it has been a positive experience and would recommend to someone considering advisory work.

Connectd has been one of the best decisions I've made in building LUMIO. Through the platform I met Phil, Stephen and Neda, all of whom are now part of the team: Phil as our fractional CTO, and Stephen and Neda as advisors in commercial strategy and operations. Each of them is genuinely world-class and brings a huge amount to the table, and I simply wouldn't have met them any other way.

The calibre of professionals on Connectd is exceptional. Several people reached out offering experience I never expected the platform to provide, and it continually surprised me how strong the connections were. Getting to know people over the first six months, commitment free, was an incredible opportunity and meant every relationship was built on real trust before anything was formalised.

The Connectd team deserve a special mention too. They're friendly, super helpful and completely focused on finding the best people for each role. Harriet, my account manager, has been superb throughout.

I joined Connectd while building out my fractional executive practice, and it's been one of the most practical resources I've found for actually getting a practice off the ground, not just theoretical advice.

What's stood out most is the specificity. Their due diligence checklists (they have separate frameworks depending on whether you're vetting a startup, an SME, or a large organization) gave me a structured way to think through risk before committing to an engagement, something I hadn't seen laid out this clearly anywhere else. Their pricing guidance was equally concrete: an actual formula for setting a day rate, not just vague "know your worth" advice.

My mentors and account/placement teams have been genuinely helpful in thinking through positioning and connecting me to relevant opportunities, the kind of personalized support that's hard to find in a space that's otherwise pretty fragmented and DIY.

If you're building a fractional or advisory practice and want a community that gives you real tools rather than just inspiration, I'd recommend Connectd!

Been unable to contact them to cancel my membership (which wasn’t sold as a membership initially) due to my circumstances changing. The link to “Talk to our team” on the “no reply” email doesn’t work. Nor does the email explain they will be taking a payment or how much it will be. There are no contact details on their webpage and LinkedIn has no employees listed. They have since taken thousands of pounds in fees from my account as an “auto renewal”. UPDATE: Someone has replied this morning, with a fairly passive aggressive email, offering me a link to speak to the team about "Renewal", first appointment 21 September. Meanwhile they have my money for a service I cannot use.

I am very happy with Connect and the help I have received from Faun in finding the right advisors for my business. We are a small startup and having the support of amazing pro-bono advisors, who are highly experienced, at the top their field, and very engaged, has changed our business significantly.
