We've used Crabtree & Crabtree for several holiday rental bookings over the past 20 years, and the service is normally excellent. However on this occasion my feedback about our holiday rental (via email) was not acknowledged, even on follow-up, and there were areas with the property we felt fell short of the usual high standards we had come to expect.

A wonderful service. Lots of information provided. A well designed website which made booking a very easy, simple process.

Crabtree & Crabtree have provided excellent seamless service, at all stages of booking, on the occasions my family have used them. Their informative emails with clear instructions have made it easy to keep all of the group up to speed. Any queries have been speedily dealt with by C&C staff.

Great company, I always trust the properties from here. I know they will be like the photos. The cleanliness is fantastic.
I spoke to one of the team about a lost dog and they did their best to help me.

love the Crabtree properties! They are definitely a cut above the rest. The houses are clean with good facilities. Only wish there were more available /

We had a fabulous family holiday.

The accommodation and location were perfect and will never tire of the view from the lounge.

We visited Bamburgh castle, Bamburgh beach (stunning), Alnwick Castle and several coffee shops!

Just a couple of points to note re the accommodation
-there is a lose tile in the floor of the ensuite of the master bedroom
-the double doors in the kitchen werw a bit of a challenge to close/lock

I would highly recommend both the service of Crabtree & Crabtree and the accommodation to family and friends.

Website was very good. Booking was efficient. Prompt remedial action was taken when we had to report a problem.

Everything was perfect. The property is beautiful, very quiet, clean and very comfortable (the beds are big and the bedrooms too!!!!). The showers have a lot of pressure that is really great.The area is really lovely and nice.The house keeper is very available.However, there was one negative point (for us) we would like to mention : since the house is heated by “biomass”, it’s very warm and difficult to turn of the radiators (we finally succeeded in doing it except for the living room’s radiator…)Perhaps it could be easier to cook (for five people) in bigger frying pan and sauce pan We had a lovely time here and we would gladely come back.

The advertising of the property on the company website was excellent. It was informative, easy to navigate and showed the property off at it's best. Everything looked very professional and inviting.
The booking process was very easy and it was handy to read the reviews from other guests.
The whole experience as a whole was first class all round!

Prompt efficient responses and plenty of clear information about property and booking information & when payment balance is due, as with precise entry details.

It was very easy to book through Crabtree and Crabtree. Excellent communication from booking to holiday to after care. I liked being able to log in easily to my account to check details before we arrived and payment/reminder emails were timely, helpful but not inundated. The property was exactly as described and of a very high standard. I would definitely book with Crabtree and Crabtree again.

The process was very easy and we were kept informed at all times with accurate information. Felt confident that if there had been any problems, which there weren't, they would have sorted them just as efficiently.

Really poor customer service.
Booked Lothian property through Airbnb, company placed ‘important info’ relating to building work at the bottom of listing just above EPC rating. Contacted them within 24 hrs of booking explaining that important information was not clearly visible at the bottom of listing but was abruptly refused a refund.
A very unpleasant experience and it appears we are not alone.

Booked quite last minute and had no issues at all. Communication was excellent.
