I recently had a disappointing experience with Cyrus Rugs.
I purchased a rug in-store for approximately $3,000 and later returned it to exchange for a different rug valued at $1,200. While the exchange itself was processed, the remaining balance of around $1,800 was issued as store credit only.
I requested a refund of the difference, given the significant amount and the fact that the original item had been returned and replaced with a lower-value purchase. Unfortunately, this was declined, and I was advised that store policy does not allow refunds for in-store purchases.
While I understand policies exist, I feel there should be some flexibility or goodwill consideration in situations involving large amounts. Holding such a substantial balance as store credit is not practical for me as a customer.
They have NOT responded to my emails so obviously DO NOT CARE that I am out of pocket my so much money.
I would recommend that anyone purchasing a rug to go elsewhere, where refunds are given and customers are valued. $1,800 is a lot of money not to get back.

I recently purchased a rug from Cyrus Rugs in Tweed Heads, i had a fantastic experience from start to finish. A special mention goes to Kate, who was incredibly helpful throughout the process. She was friendly, and knowledgeable, and took the time to understand what I was looking for.
The whole experience was smooth and enjoyable, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Cyrus Rugs Tweed Heads to anyone looking for quality rugs with excellent customer service.

Purchased a rug from Mt Gravatt store. Very disappointed. Curled up at each end of rug as no binding to keep it down. Also come undone on one side. Looks terrible. Cannot use after only a few months use.
Great service from Kiri who was able to help me narrow down what I was looking for. Our new rug looks great and it is comfy for our dog who has leg and hip issues and doesn't like lying on hard floors anymore.

Went into Rockhampton store after seeing some potential rugs I liked on the website. The man in this store was very helpful and showed me lots of different options based on what I was looking at. Also kept all the options he showed me within the price range I was after.
When I was stuck on which way to go, he got my final picks out on the floor so I could compare them properly.
Now I’ve gotten the rug home and in my lounge room I’m extremely happy and even though it was not one I was originally looking at, it is perfect for the room and I couldn’t be happier.

Cancelled my order the very next morning (within hours) before it was shipped or processed. Cyrus Rugs still deducted a 10% “admin fee” ($116.91).
There is NO cancellation policy on their website. Only a refund/returns policy, which mentions a 10% fee for returns — not cancellations. I clearly told them in writing that I did not authorise this deduction. They ignored it.
I escalated to my bank and the Office of Fair Trading. Cyrus Rugs still refused to return the fee.
This feels deliberately misleading. A $100+ penalty for cancelling an unshipped order is unreasonable and not clearly disclosed at checkout.
Think very carefully before ordering. If you change your mind — even within hours — expect to lose money.
Recently ordered the Jasmine Traditional runner in brown online. Very fast delivery and the rug was exactly as pictured online. It was also very soft underfoot and good quality for the price.

After finding the right rugs on the website I visited the Rockhampton store to buy them. There was very limited stock and they had to be ordered in. Mark from Rockhampton was genuinely so helpful and was able to accommodate my needs exactly. Will 100% go back whenever I need more rugs.

I hate to say it but the colour is completely off. It looks far cheaper in person and I don’t think I can use it unfortunately. Everything worked smoothly so I won’t give 1 star, but it’s disappointing

I ordered a rug it was moth eaten. Was told to chose another for them to send and that to was moth eaten and again I chose another and….. moth eaten.
So I asked for my refund and yes they were going to send my request for someone to approve…. I have heard nothing…. I email them and no response.This rug has cost over $500.
No rug no refund but they have my money….
My suggestion here to people is don’t buy from these people.. you will end up with nothing.

We visited the Rockhampton store today, a big thank you too Mark, from the moment we entered the store his friendly approach, knowledge and advice made our shopping experience enjoyable, we purchased 4 Persian rugs, thank you Mark for taking the time to get the rugs down from there hangers so we could see them when laid out on the floor, my wife and I are very happy with the rugs and they look fantastic.
