Awful experience. Took my money and did nothing. Haven't refunded me.

Awful experience.

Bought TV for my first house with my partner. Paid by bank transfer.

Tracking data didn't work. Emailed and was promised midweek delivery two weeks from original order date.

My partner took the day off work for this. No delivery. No contact. No reply for 48 hours to email.

Fobbed off for two more weeks.

Emailed and said I want a refund last Thursday, then again on Tuesday. Have had nothing back. It is now Friday and still no reply.

I am amazed companies can operate like this in the UK. I have reported them to Citizens' Advice and will follow their guidance.

This company is shady, acting unethically, and does not ever pretend to care about the customer.

Payment taken and claims of no payment received

Ordered TV and received email to state confirmation of order would only be given once bank transfer received (note 1 - do not use this method for the %20 discount...reasons I shall continue).

Money is taken from my account same day,2 days later no email so I call them up, get told there is an issue to which the guy cannot explain issue and says someone will email by close of play,email didn't arrive.

Weekend passes and call on the Monday, now I am told I havent paid them so now I am out of pocket. Guy from company confirms I have used the right sort code and account number but showing as not paid. He says someone will be in touch by close of play,guess what, nobody emailed. I emailed all details of payment and correspondence, no reply. One more phone call left and then legal route will be taken. I really advise not using this company unless you want to reduce the size of your bank account and see nothing for it.

Luckily I actually work for trading standards and am going to enjoy this investigation which will come to the top of the pile all of a sudden! Make your bank aware, contact trading standards (evidence is everything) and keep records as well as pay by credit card if you have one. I am off to buy another TV from a reputable company.

This has to be one of the worst…

This has to be one of the worst companies in the the UK ordered a Sony tv from them.
I was never told that it would no be delivered as it was out of stock. couldn't supply another so ordered JVC replacement they couldn't use the money I had paid for the first but would have to purchase another tv of the web site and they would issue a refund for the first.
that was fine then i was told the refund was to be made by cheque and would take up to 14 days.
On the day the second tv was to be delivered got a message saying the order had been canceled no explanation why.
waited over a month for the refund for the first tv and it is now over a month again since the second order and no sign of the refund for the that.
After numerous emails they keep promising the cheque is in the post but have waited 14 days since I was promised the cheque would be with me no later than the following day.

UPDATED 31/08/2018 STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A REFUND FROM THIS COMPANY AND IS DISGRACEFUL THAT A COMPANY CAN HOLD A CUSTOMERS MONEY FOR THIS LENGTH OF TIME WITHOUT REFUNDING OF OFFERING A SOLOUTION

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH' AFTER OVER 8 WEEKS NO TV'S AND ONLY RECEIVED A REFUND FOR THE FIRST TV.
BUYER BE WARNED!!!

Bought a tv from DC digital.
Never arrived just received an email saying it was damaged on delivery so I asked for a refund.
A cheque was sent to myself. I have just had a letter from the bank returning the cheque as it bounced.
I cannot find their website or contact no. anymore and am £500 out of pocket

Dreadful experience with 4 failed…

Dreadful experience with 4 failed deliveries. Communication poor and also take care to read the small print. Whilst they say they will ensure essential accessories will be included, that doesn't include a stand for a 55" LED TV. If you read the description of Grade A products, take care to continue reading as there is a clause that amends the previous description of Grad A products. Poor packing on TV and too many excuses for delivery which took 21 days.

Where is my refund?!

I bought and do the cancellation of my order on the same day.

Its already more than 14 days f4om the cancellation date, but got nothing for my refund. This is my order number 21049.

Do not order from here, ordered a tv, it came after 4 weeks with a broken screen, no refund and ignored by them they are also operating under the name, Go Digital Warehouse, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I purchased a TV, grade A, i was offered a 10% discount doing it via bank transfer which i fully regret as i literally now have no comeback. My TV came with no cables and remote, got a new remote which didn't work. Eventually i got to the bottom of it, they sent an older and cheaper model hence the reason why the remote didn't work. I had to return this under there terms and conditions which cost 70 which after another 21/2 weeks i received a refunded cheque, its such an inconvenience having to organise this yourself so be mindful of this process. After 3 weeks i received my replacement and 2 weeks in the TV screen faded and became unwatchable, again i had to go through the process of sending this back. I used parcelforce which states on their website is who this company use but i was told over the phone not to use this company. When parcelforce delivered this TV the company refused to take it due to the fact the box looked a bit woren. The TV was completely and neatly packed as per there instructions. I wouldn't leave anything by chance as they continued to quote their terms and conditions. The courier company delivered it back to myself and now the TV has been damaged, a hole through the side which has cracked the TV screen. I am not blaming DC digital for the damage however, the courier company are now saying they do not cover TVs with a screen even though i added insurance and the value of the TV. I now have no TV and 900 pound down with no TV and TVs warranty being void and have no comeback with DC Digital. This is now with Trading Standards.

This company have changed names.
I really hope my honest review is not removed as this has already happened and i will be asking questions if it is.

Please note your comment is defamatory our company has not changed names we are owned by dc digital entertainment limited. You can confirm this on companies house and on our web site.

Due to this your review will be blocked until this is removed. We have no issue with honest truthful reviews. As stated in our terms and set out in law we are entitled to receive goods back in the condition they were supplied. Obviously parcel force damaged your item so why have yo not left this review on their profile. If there terms do not accept screens why did you sent it by there service? We could have recommended private couriers that would have been suitable.

It is not our fault your TV received by us was smashed. To be fair it is your fault for not sending by the correct type of courier.

My worst shopping experience I've ever had…..

My worst shopping experience I've ever had.

In summary: seen a Samsung S9 Dual SIM listed for a good price, seen the reviews but thought I would chance it - big mistake!

A Samsung arrived 1 week later, except it was the wrong model, not the wrong colour, or slightly different, a totally different model. So I contacted DC Digital and requested a return, filled in a return form, called them numerous times to have them accept the return before I could post it.

The return got signed for on 13th June, heard nothing back from DC Digital, called them (between their very inconvenient hours of 11-3 and then have to wait for someone to call back) about 10 times over the course of a couple of weeks, emailed them numerous times just to get confirmation that they had received the return - never heard anything back. Not 1 returned phone call, no returned emails, and this went on for over 4 weeks - me constantly chasing them with no replies.

Eventually, after they'd had the phone back over 4 weeks I was sick of chasing them and getting no reply, so in my final email I made it clear that the next step was intent for legal action. Luckily this worked and I did eventually get a reply - that they had received the phone back and were 'looking into it'.

Chased again and made it clear that they'd had enough time, a refund should have been issued within 14 days and they were breaking the law by not issuing the refund - after nearly 5 weeks by this point. Got an email to say a cheque was in the post, I must admit that I didn't hold out much hope of the cheque clearing, but after depositing it in my bank it did clear a few days later.

Bottom line, it;s not worth the risk, i should have spend an extra £50 somewhere reputable and not have to deal with this joke of a company.

They should not be trading; and certainly don't deserve your hard earned money.

Just recently bought a LG 55" 4K…

Just recently bought a LG 55" 4K television for £359 instead of £699 on 29th of June with a delivery date for the 17th July TV arrived on date stated at 8.45pm with wrong remote control I phoned them and DC digital appolagised and sent the right one out in the postThe TV is working perfect a grade A LG 55" 4K the television looked and is brand new I would definitely shop with dc digital again in the future as the service was very good. Any chance of a pick up date!

Bought a tv from dc digital. Delivery date changed 3 times and then arrived on a different day anyway. Tv has no stand despite being advertised as in working condition. Remote is also jammed and unable to insert batteries.
The tv is also the wrong model to the one ordered.
Each time I contact dc digital by email they fail to answer. Ringing up is a nightmare. I have been answered after 30 or 40 minute waits sometimes never at all.
They have said they will collect the tv but after numerous emails and phone calls I still do not have a pick up date. The tv arrived on Sunday and on the website it is advertised returns will be collected in 10 working days. Still no date agreed and still no contact from dc digital.
Will be taking legal action unless dispute is resolved as am I currently being treated as if I don’t exist. Avoid at all costs.

I have now opened an online dispute resolution with the European Commission. They will be in contact with your company. If the matter is resolved i will postpone legal action. Upon a full refund i will close the matter.

There is no regard for the customer, only their money!!!

I ordered a Graded NEW Samsung galaxy S9 64GB in coral blue on 2.7.18 and still haven't received it!
I emailed them to ask why the phone wasn't delivered, they told me the phone was damaged and not fit for what i payed for, which if I'm honest I'm glad they did as I'd rather get no phone and wait, than a smashed up one, or so i thought!
On 13.7.18 a note was added to my account saying another phone had been dispatched with a royal mail first class signed for tracking No. to be with me no later than 16.7.18. Every day I checked to get "we can't determine the status of your parcel" on Royal Mails tracker page.
The phone never came, AGAIN, so I rang them to be given an array of uneducated guesses (AKA lies) and excuses by the new receptionist who told me Royal Mail had a car crash and thats why my phone didn't reach me again! I actually laughed when he said that but I rang royal mail anyway to cover my own back who confirmed that the parcel had never even reached them not even at a post office! They were fuming that DCDigital think they can speak on behalf of them and bring their company into disrepute and are considering investigating the allegations which I hope they do to teach them a lesson.
DCD claim that despite the fact the phone had already left them and was somewhere in the postal system they happened to have found damage on the phone again, COINCIDENTALLY the day after I was supposed to receive it! That is not possible; if they truly did send the phone then how is it possible to have then found damage on the it when its with royal mail not them? When asked, they actively avoided giving me an answer by saying "I'm just a receptionist, I cant help you and I cant pass you onto anyone else".
That is all I ever get from the receptionist because he hasn't got authority to do anything and doesn't have a clue how to answer any questions you have.
I rang trading and standards yesterday and have arranged a call back with an agent to raise a case against them as they were supposed to have replied to my countless emails by now and aren't ringing me back when they say they would.
Ive also drafted a small claims court form which ill be submitting if I have no progression.
A refund had been offered but after the reviews I have seen about others attempting to recall their money, I thought I'd stay with the phone and pursue it. Even after that I'd still like an explanation for the excuses I have outlined above as that is poor service.
They will probably see this review and just report it for incorrect website review so I'm stating that this review is about DCDigitalTV who I believe have re-named to BuyTVDirect and no breach of trust pilots guidelines have been done as everything in this review is fact and a real experience with this company.
Instead of just reporting a review because you don't like it why don't you actually contact the customer and resolve it, maybe then you wont need to report so many review because they'll be positive!
Contact me to resolve this and this review will change to mirror your service provided.

Absolutely horrendous experience

Absolutely horrendous experience so far. Ordered a TV and cancelled the order the next day and was offered a full refund. They stated it would be refunded within 14 days which I thought was a bit long. However 3 weeks later and still no refund, 3 emails ignored by them? How do they get away with this? Will be taking this further if I don’t get a refund by the end of the week however I don’t think they’d even care.

Absolutely awful company

I made an order with this company at the beginning of June, still to not receive it after 2 different excuses being given and 3 different delivery dates. Haven’t even contacted me regarding the last missed delivery, despite me trying to get in contact with them. Requested a refund and this got ignored. Sent an email and this has now been ignored also. Will be taking them to small claims court if the money is not back in my account 14 days from today. Awful how they think they can do this to so many people.

I purchased a new 50" Samsung ultra HD…

I purchased a new 50" Samsung ultra HD HDR LED Smart TV. It was delivered on 31st of March. Last week it developed a pixel line so I contacted DC Digital. Their response was that I must have damaged the TV myself so it wasn't covered by the warranty. I informed them that I am an OAP living alone and apart from lightly dusting the TV twice the only contact I have with the TV is by pressing buttons on the remote. They haven't bothered to reply.

Just satisfied

I bought the S9 plus from them which takes 12 or 13 days to arrive.
I bought brand new phone but when it arrives the box was open, wall plug was not wrapped & heavy scratches on it , seems like used by some one.
Finger prints on the screen & back glass.
Sticker or label on the back was removed which gives the model number , imei , serial number , memory info etc.
2 tiny scratches on bottom.
They are cheaper than anyone but not delivers the quality , product & service which they discribe.

I ordered a phone and it came really late. It came in working condition however headphones were not sent and on multiple follow up and slower email responses it was assured twice to find a new pair and sent over again. It was never delivered and last response I got from them is buy from high street. Worst company ever don't buy from them.

Just to let everyone know the terms and conditions updated recently and, their customer support team was trying to find out pair for me for many months and when terms changed on their website they are trying to mislead. Don't get fooled around. Also in their reply below they are confirming the fact that they are suggesting to buy headphones from high road .

If Samsung original headphones comes in 9.99 I would be happy to pay to DC digital the extra amount to get these pairs. Are you willing to give me in 9.99 the original one?

Also don't talk on the cost, you are selling refurbished phones not the branded one. Your phone comes without printed serial number so please don't argue further on these things.

And the business moved to a new site with a new name and branding - buytvdirect

You know full well of you read our terms the item comes with the charger and cable only. Phone cost argos £799.99 our cost £549.99

With the saving I am sure you can afford a pair of headphones for £9.99.!!!

If I had read these reviews first I would have stayed far far away from this company, poor delivery times(rearranged 3 times) then turned up a day early but did ring me and luckily I arranged a neighbor to take delivery. The box was appalling the tv I ordered was a smart tv the remote was not the right remote not a smart tv remote. We managed to see if it was working by setting it to our sky box but the speakers weren’t working(no instruction manual supplied), we then connected it to a AUX external speaker and it worked so basically the sound wasn’t working. They are very slow to answer emails, and to ring them is appalling you get 3 hours out of the day to ring them 11-4 but 12-2 their on dinner. I phoned and did manage to speak to a person who passed my details on eddy emailed me and said they would collect the tv check it and then return it to me or if they couldn’t repair it they’d exchange it um no I want what I paid for a working g tv now not weeks and weeks later, I’ve rungcsgain and told I want a refund, so far I’m waiting for them to arrange to collect it and refund I’ll keep u posted(not holding much hope mind after reading these reviews

I ordered a TV and a Soundbar from DC…

I ordered a TV and a Soundbar from DC digital. Whilst the TV was delivered on 04-Jun-18 and was in excellent condition, the soundbar was missing from the delivery. I reported this via email and eventually when the soundbar was not delivered, I requested a refund on 27-Jun-18 via email. I was contacted that same day by email by the sales team who requested my Bank details so the refund could be made. I received a further email on 28-Jun-18 confirming the costs of the full order and stating that 'Your order has now been passed down to the accounts team to process your refund.
This can take up to 14 days to be refunded.' I received a cheque for the full refund on 30-Jul-18.

Note: DC digital offered a 10% discount if I transferred payment directly to their account online in advance of delivery. If you do take up any similar offer, keep in mind that my bank could not help to recover refunds for bank transfers. If I had used a debit card or credit card my bank would help recover money if I had difficulties. As it turned out, I did not need to be concerned as the refund has been made via cheque.

Other than that, my TV is as new and represents great value. Once I had found the manual installed electronically on the TV, then set-up was easy.
I would take a chance and purchase other low cost products from DC digital as I know what to expect based on this experience. My rating is low due to unnecessary stress!
