Total scammers. They are useless and and unhelpful. After I did all the work myself to collect money they invoiced me for 10% of what I recovered.

DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES!

0 (ZERO) stars for these crooks, I have paid $864.00 to open an account. I have customers that did not pay, that includes a judgement in the amount of $86.000.00 + interest which would be around $97,000.00, to make a very long story short... a while later they informed me that it is useless and that they went after the guy and had no chance of collecting the entire amount, after a back and forth for 2 weeks, I offered a settlement at $25,000.00 lump sum, in the end Dixon Commercial convinced me to accept $22,500.00, to which I finally said yes, thinking that $22,500.00 minus they advertised fee of 10% would come to approximately $20,000.00 in my pocket, better than nothothing but not even close to $97,000.00. At that point they have received my payment from the person that owed me, ... They kept my payment in their office for almost 2 and half months, from Dec 31 2021 till March 04 2022, 20 phone calls later and a lot of runaround on my behalf from every single one of their employees (lets not forget that these crooks are supposed to be looking for my best interests, because I already paid them to set up an account and become their client), telling me all kinds of stories they finally sent my cheque, and Surprise Surprise, I have received a cheque from Dixon Commercial in the amount of just over 12,000.00 (See Attached Pic), these crooks not only convinced me to accept a minimal amount as settlement, they also stole almost 50% of the recovered funds, that on top of basically selling me off as their customer
I would like to get in contact with any and all victims of these thieves.

Josh is a goof!! Sounds like a police foundations / security drop out desperately looking for a slice of commission. Kind of feel bad for the miserable grump having to call me from a sleazy call centre office on a Saturday of a long weekend while I sip mimosas in the sun on my dock in Muskoka. Makes me feel better knowing I can give this guy some work and a couple bucks in his pocket. He deserves a 10 cent an hour raise for his hard effort put forth in his hilariously entertaining voicemails that have the whole family in tears at the dinner table hearing him attempt to put on a stern threatening voice, typical of a wannabe “person of authority”. Keep up the hard work, buddy 😂😂😂

Do not use this company - Dixon Commercial Investigators is by far the worst company I have ever used. The customer service is non-existent and the staff they have making the phone calls have absolutely no idea what's going on. Communication is horrendous, you can not get answers to simple questions regarding accounts or files. Be warned - they will come after you and your company for huge fees regardless of collection. As a small business owner I am experiencing this currently. The communication is so poor I violated the terms of agreement by communicating with the non paying client after Dixon made no progress with them after 6 months. I emailed and called Dixon so many times, but nobody returns phone calls and it takes weeks to hear back from the customer service email. Now they are after me for their fees for "the considerable amount of work they have done" for almost $4000. I have not even collected on the account, but I made the attempt to. Dixon does not care - now a huge loss to my small business is in another $4000 deeper. Be very very careful with this company, it is not effective at collecting money and will turn on you.

they don't produce, no one to speak to, no results. a complete waste of time and money. DON'T USE THEM!

I hired Dixon to collect a large debt. They were A+ rated with BBB so I trusted that. Right off the bat they took 40% commission instead of the 25% agree upon. I disputed the increase and got no where! After months of unsuccessful attempts to reach anyone at Dixon I told them I was pulling my debt from them. Then they called my debtor said that I had told them I would "settle" the debt. I had NOT told them this! They then collected $40,000.+ of my debt (after 1.5yrs) and did not advise me they collected. They were silent for months and would not answer anything I sent! It got so bad I had to hire a law firm. The law firm found out they had collected $40,000.!!
They had held it for 5 months without telling me!! The law firm I hired filed a claim to the Ministry of Consumer and Business Affairs for what Dixon was doing. Dixon said the increase rate of commission was a "clerical error"...a total lie!! They blamed not paying me due to covid! A Lie!! It was Jan 2020!! This company should NOT be allowed to operate!!! My lawyer advised me that the complaint we filed with the Ministry will now shine a light on Dixon and future customer complaints.

We hired them to collect on some accounts. The sales guy either lied or no one else in the organization knows what can and cannot be done. The collections agent negotiated a payment plan with one of my clients that would take 2 YEARS to be paid without my consent. And now NO ONE returns calls or emails. Steer clear!

Their collections agent, Spencer, was extremely disrespectful and quite honestly, a bully. I understand the purpose of their job is to negotiate contracts with tact. Spencer did not have that quality. Instead, he was aggressively rude, angry and made unnecessary personal comments. You would think this company would screen their employees before hiring a hot head with an axe to grind.

Cindy from extension 469 left a message on a client's answering machine. Message was with regards to an outstanding invoice. I was immediately emailed for follow up . Cindy was in fact making a sales call. You may very well have been in business for 63 years. What a disgrace that in all that time you have not learned the art of good salesmanship. And above else HONESTY.

This company is trying to extort money from me !

Their claiming I'm on the hook for a account that a company I used to work for years ago had outstanding with one of their clients
But I didn't own a company! And I'm confused how they can try hold me responsible when I was only a manager at the company

They threaten and harass me multiple times a week !!

Misleading correspondence received from them suggesting "renewal" was now due. *Never* had an account with them. Disgraceful business practice.

This company is a scam, and I suspect that any good review is from an employee of theirs (notice how the good reviews are usually very vague). They take $800 as an opening fee to start an account with them, then ignore you completely and do not collect any money from any of your clients. Most collection companies are "only pay if we collect the money" so do not be fooled by needing to pay a starting fee. We have tried to cancel our accounts with them for YEARS with no response by email, phone, or registered mail. Do not trust any good reviews for this company.

After receiving service for 3 months, I have been very satisfied. It's like having an employee who is strictly dedicated to chasing bills. It’s pretty fantastic to not have to worry about that issue anymore. It’s worth the money.
