Très mauvaise expérience. J’ai réservé et payé une voiture à l’avance, mais arrivé sur place, Alamo a refusé de me remettre le véhicule pour des conditions qui ne m’avaient pas été clairement communiquées au moment de la réservation. Depuis, EconomyBookings refuse de me rembourser et ne répond pas à mes demandes. Je déconseille fortement.

A paid Alamo booking being refused at the desk because the conditions weren’t clearly laid out is a rough outcome, and the lack of reply since then only makes it worse. Some supplier requirements are only applied at pickup, under the rental company’s own rules, so the key question is whether those conditions were shown clearly before payment. If they weren’t, the case needs to be checked against the booking terms rather than guessed at from the desk decision alone. If you’d like this reviewed, our support team via the Help Center on the website can look at the reservation. Please include your booking number and any messages or receipts from the counter.

A booking being cancelled after you’ve already reserved it, then waiting to see the refund land back on your card, is a frustrating spot to be in. If the cancellation went through on our side, the money normally goes back to the same card used for payment; the part that varies is how long your bank takes to show it. That can be a few business days, sometimes a bit longer depending on the card issuer. If you want it checked against a specific booking, the Help Center team can trace it with your booking number and the last four digits of the card used.

That the total only showed up at the end, and the French wording around “par jour” didn’t read cleanly, is fair to flag. On some bookings the final amount only comes together late in the flow once the supplier’s terms and any local charges are folded in, but the language should still be clearer.
