Calling around I could not find anywhere with a lead time of less than 10 days - Vision Express who I had been with since year dot did not even have a lab technician.

Eye Academy saw me on the same day, promising a 4 day delivery window.

The service was second to none and was the most thorough eye check up I have ever received. They were thorough and attentive and had the best tech - they were even able to trace my glasses frame so the lenses would come ready to fit my glasses.

To compound their success, my lenses arrived 2 days ahead of schedule.

I've been going to Eye Academy for several years now and my wife even longer. The service we receive is superb, the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. There is a great selection of frames, many that you simply won't find in the generic high street stores. The advice and care taken to make sure you walk out with exactly the pair of glasses you need and want is second to none. If you really care about the health of your eyes and you want them to be framed by the perfect glasses, then you shouldn't be going anywhere else.

My glasse came apart at the centre and had to buy new ones. It was going to cost me £100 to try and mend the old ones which were 4 years old. No guarantee that the process would work but would still charge me. Decided on new ones. The service very good but felt they could have offered to repair the previous pair without charge as I had spent over £900.
