I have been a patient and customer and Ellis and Thompson for approximately 15 years. I have found them to be helpful and knowledgeable on all of my visits. They provide a wide range of frames to suit all customers and I have never been unable to find what I was looking for. I would recommend Ellis & Thompsons to everyone.

After having been unimpressed with the choice of frames at a number of high street opticians I visited Eye Academy to look at their stock. The variety of stock was good and the staff were excellent. I was assisted with choosing a number of frames and then the optician took the time to asses my lifestyle and choose the frames best suited to me. She then advised on a number of modifications to the frame arms and lenses that I did not know was possible. I now have a very comfortable and easy to wear pair of glasses that should last me for a long time.

A wonderful experience given by knowledgeable and stylish ladies. I got my best ever glasses (frames and lenses) and a pair of Ray Bans both with vari-focal lenses. Not bad considering I have worn glasses for 36 years! I was given undivided attention by the optician who talked me through various options and was really honest about what would or would not suit. She was really observant of my character and personality and made sure my purchases would suit me. Having chosen frames, the ladies patiently changed different lenses so we could see which suited my face best. I could not be more pleased with the service.

I have a problem with dry eyes and wanted an opinion how to go forward.
I saw Alison who was extremely professional and helpful.

Always helpful and made my new glasses up within a couple of hours.

My son (8 years) went to the optician saying that he would never have eye drops- and he had pretty much screamed the last time this was attempted (in a hospital outpatient department). The optician had a fantastic way with him and talked to him about the eye drops in a way that made sense to him. My son then willingly had the eye drops and came out of the apopintment saying 'I actually quite liked that!' I couldn't believe it!
