Data harvesting company seemingly fully running on AI or by an AI.
Applied for a 'job' posting. My submission never made it through amid technical difficulties. AI generated CS response, first by recruiter (maybe she is fictive), follow up by customer service. Always in the same pattern.
Why am I writing this review? Around a month or two later, I suddenly receive a message my reporting review can now be claimed for as little as 10$.
Company HQ in Vietnam. Make sure you just stay away if you value your time and rather not spend on AI junk.

The interview itself is AI-based, but our support and hiring communications are handled by people. That said, if those messages felt repetitive or impersonal, then they clearly did not come across in the way we intended. On top of that, running into technical issues during an application is already exhausting.
We also want to clarify that interviews on Flowmingo are free for candidates. Some optional candidate tools may be offered separately, but they are not required and do not affect hiring evaluation. If that distinction felt blurred in your experience, then our communication was not clear enough.

Spammers
I've been getting more and more emails recently with random people sending in their CVs. I am not a recruiter and this is my private email. All of the CVs have the same link to this website.
When you click on the link, you are greeted with "Wait! Are you a Recruiter? Flow mingo AI Interviewer can help you interview all your candidates 100% Free, Forever" advertisement." which leads to the conclusion that it's spam.
Not a good business practice.

Seeing recruiter-focused messaging after clicking the link would only reinforce that feeling, so your reaction is fair. Whatever the source of those messages, unwanted outreach to a personal email address is not something we want associated with Flowmingo.

Great Interview Experience, But Serious Privacy Concerns
While I was impressed with the interview process and how the UI, onboarding, workflow, and AI features worked, I did not like that Flowmingo used my synced Gmail inbox to send unsolicited job applications to recruiters around the world for communications roles. I became concerned when I noticed emails being sent on my behalf every hour or so. Once I revoked the permissions, the emails stopped. This behavior raised major privacy and trust issues for me.

We understand why that would raise immediate privacy and trust concerns. Features involving synced email permissions should feel fully clear, intentional, and under the user’s control at all times.
If this outreach behavior felt unexpected or not clearly explained, then that is a serious communication issue on our side.

Some optional features can involve proactive outreach, but they should never leave a user feeling that actions were happening in the background without their full understanding. We appreciate you calling this out, because privacy and trust are too important to get wrong.
This whole process felt off
This whole process felt off, and I believe it may be an elaborate scam.
I received an email inviting me to take an interview within a three-day window. I clicked the link on day three. After entering some details and uploading my résumé, I was offered a “prep interview.” There were two options: a “Premium interview prep” for $3 and a free version. That immediately raised a red flag, so I chose the free option.
The free prep was a 90-second video (played at 1.5–2× speed) explaining what to expect. I then clicked “Begin Interview.”
The first question asked me to enter my country, simple enough. But after I submitted my answer, the page wouldn’t load. I retried six or seven times. My internet connection was fine, I even kept a YouTube video playing in the background to confirm it. After 20 minutes of failed attempts, I gave up and closed the interview, assuming the whole thing was designed to funnel people into paying the $3.
That wasn’t the end.
I attempted the interview on October 22, 2025. Then, on October 28, I received an email stating my interview was successful. The first line read:
“Thank you for participating in the Flowmingo interview. Among all, you’ve been selected to join as a Flowmingo Partner!”
Keep in mind: I never completed the interview.
Overall, this experience smells, and I would not recommend anyone engage with it.

Seeing an optional paid prep offer at the start, then choosing the free route, running into a blocking issue when trying to continue, and later receiving a message suggesting your interview had been completed successfully would understandably feel contradictory and unsettling.
To clarify, the prep upgrade is optional, and candidates can complete the interview without paying for it. What you described sounds much more like a technical failure during the interview flow, and the later partner email appears to have added even more confusion rather than clarity.
That does not change the fact that your time was wasted and the process felt unreliable. We take that seriously. Avoid these cowboys like the plague
This cowboy company chucks adverts all over the world. The interview is shite and it's just a scam to get people to help the company improve its AI system, and these cowboys get this done for free! You'll be wasting your time if you have anything to do with their initial crappy AI scam email.

Separately, anything related to improving AI systems should be clearly explained and based on consent. SLOW, just so SLOW
The interview process is incredibly slow and devoid of personality and charisma.
Furthermore you can feed the AI an incredible amount of nonsensical gibberish and it will still response.
The replies from the AI itself is delayed and can take up to 2mins+ to "assess your submitted conversation, between each question.
Also worth noting they do not pay their interns and employees, they use them to train their AI on a "commission basis" much like a pyramid scheme.
Yet another exploitative "CEO" wannabe.

NOT Recommended due to Unresponsive Communication
Not Recommended: Poor Experience and Unresponsive Communication
I recently had a disappointing experience with this company and feel compelled to share it to help others make informed decisions. I responded to an email from the company and submitted a video interview through their platform, which took significant time and effort to prepare. Unfortunately, after submitting, I received no confirmation that my video was received, and the submission seemed to disappear without a trace.
Concerned, I followed up via the same email thread to ask if they had received my video. Instead of addressing my question, I received multiple marketing emails from the company, including messages that appeared to come from a senior representative. Despite my repeated attempts to get a clear answer about my submission, I only received more promotional content and vague responses that didn’t address my concerns. This lack of transparency and failure to confirm receipt of my video left me frustrated and questioning the company’s professionalism.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. The process felt disorganized, and the lack of clear communication was highly disappointing. I urge others to approach with caution and consider alternative options.

Navigation ease and evaluation metrics are user friendly
This platform gave me a proper perspective of how the interview answers are gauged.
The navigation process is streamlined which is a great + for any first timer interviewees.
Most importantly, it’s not tagged with any forceful payment step to experience the demo.
After attempting the demo interview, I matched my own evaluation of my interview answers with the report which was shared , it was more than 90% in synch.
