The company was launched in 2010 having previously provided the same service for 15 years when part of Bank of Scotland. Changing vehicle is a significant event in people’s lives. The compliance-led service is designed to provide important information and offer free financial services advice enabling customers to make informed decisions in relation to certain Financial Services products such as Mechanical Breakdown Insurance and GAP Insurance which is only available for a limited period after taking delivery of the vehicle. GID partner with dealers, lenders and brokers who prefer to outsource this work to a specialist firm.

Just had a call with Wayne Taylor from GID ltd. Exceptional customer service. Extremely friendly and informative. Was very helpful and explained everything very clearly. The product is good and very reasonable. As someone who is now using g their car more for work the gap insurance is great peace of mind should the worse happen. First time I’ve ever considered Gap insurance since I’ve been driving but the benefits out weighed the cons. Thanks again. Bev and Mike
