Sent a new Mother a giftya for take out food. Of course she didn't want to enter her sensitive banking or credit card and home address to use it. I requested a refund which is in process. Lost 1.95 fee. I do not recommend giftya. This was totally embarrassing!!

Just don’t do it. Use literally any other service. They will let you pay for a gift card, cancel it, and then “customer support” will tell you, “Sorry, we had to cancel the order. But we also aren’t allowed to tell you why. Additionally, your account is also now suspended.” It’s as sketchy as it sounds. All of that aside from the fact that they aren’t even real gift cards. They require you to link your debit card so that the “gift card” will just reimburse what your debit uses.

This company took my order for an itunes gift card..sent me email confirmation..then promptly canceled my order and informed me a refund would take up to 7 days. It's no wonder their ratings are so low. Shameful customer service.

I sent a gift ya and the recipient was unable to open. Customer service is not helping as there is no live agent and the chat box is conveniently down. I am going to purse this matter until I get a refund and/or satisfactory reply.

Just found out about Giftya for the first time because my sister sent me one for Primantis in Pittsburgh as a joke. It worked fine for me, cool concept and made me smile.

I am the Recipient, my Sister the buyer who will be horrified when I update her that I am unable to retrieve. GIFT YA cannot offer any explanation. I Activated got a CONFIRMATION EMAIL NOW ACTIVATED. Would not go thru, GIFT YA told me to REACTIVATE & it WILL NOT LET ME REACTIVATE. After Several attempts between chats, emails, & text finally spoke to a live agent, who could Not offer me an explanation. Told him to Refund my Sister Immediately, his response “ She has to call” How Scary of the information given to this BOGUS Operation. Among the many 1 & 2 Star ratings I looked at I saw one positive who couldn’t understand why all the trouble. Reviewer should count himself lucky especially his experience does not appear to Overall Consensus.

Ok, I thought I'd send my son a card to eat at taco bell. It takes hours. But then it makes you put it on your debit card. So it was useless. Then you are supposed to use your OWN card and it will give you YOUR money back in 3 to 5 days. What the heck. Its pointless

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent experience with Giftya. I was issued a refund for an unused gift card, which should have been a straightforward process. However, Giftya inexplicably deducted a $1.95 "processing fee" from my refund, and as of today, I have not even received the remaining $18.
This fee was never disclosed during the initial purchase, and when I inquired about it, the response from their support team was unhelpful and dismissive. I received a generic email stating that the refund had been processed, with no attempt to justify this unexpected charge or provide a realistic timeline for when the funds would actually appear in my account.
To deduct a fee from a refund, especially for an unused gift card, and then to not even deliver the promised remaining funds in a timely manner is completely unacceptable. It demonstrates a profound lack of transparency, incredibly poor customer service, and frankly, raises serious concerns about their business practices.
I am currently out the full amount of the gift card minus their arbitrary fee, and I have no guarantee of when or if I will actually receive the majority of my money back. I would strongly advise potential customers to be extremely cautious when dealing with Giftya and to be aware of potential hidden fees and unreliable refund processes.
This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and financially negative. I will certainly not be using Giftya's services again in the future and will be exploring further avenues to recover my funds.

Order showed up on my credit card as pending for days. Today it's no longer showing up but recipient never received. And my credit card availability went from $999 to $40 overnight.

I should have looked at reviews first. I sent to two very busy clients, it never appeared on their phones, even after contacting giftya customer service. Who I will add, was snarky and not helpful. Today, the client said she could not get it to load even on her computer with the link; due to cypersecurity. I consider it lost money and will send giftcards from the vendor; not use giftya

My grandparents got me a 25 dollar gift card and when I went to redeem it it said the code was not valid. Complete scam if you use it you are giving them your money for nothing. It is terrible.
