HETAS is the national organisation working for consumer safety and the wider public interest in safe, efficient and environmentally responsible use of biomass and other solid fuels. Our purpose is 'Working together for a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable environment'. Through our website you can search for approved and registered installers, chimney sweeps, retailers, servicing technicians and products ranging from stoves through to biomass boilers. HETAS operates it’s competent person scheme under authorisation from The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and overseen by The United Kingdom Accreditation Services (UKAS) under the certification standard BSENISO 17065:2012. HETAS is part of Cleaner Safer Group.

I called Hetas as I had an issue with a compliance certificate that was issued with the incorrect door number on, the certificate was issued on a log burner that was installed in my home prior to me owning it. I was now trying to sell the property and the solicitors were rejecting it. I called and spoke to Breeze, she was amazing, she was so helpful, for something that I thought was going to be a pain to sort out and take days/weeks, didn’t! She contacted the company that had installed the log burner and arranged for him to visit my house that same day to confirm the details. Breeze then issued the updated certificate the next day!
Thank you so much… I am so very grateful to her, she went above and beyond what I was expecting. Hetas if you are reading this Breeze deserves a pay rise! ☺️

I have a problem with my log burner and couldn’t get hold of the company that had installed it. Hetas answered my query very quickly and have asked for the installer to contact me. Well done

To be honest I’d never really heard of Hetas until I had my fire fitted. After being messed around for months by the fire shop and fitter I got in touch with them. I can honestly say Jay from Hetas customer support has been great. Supportive and understanding of the difficult situation the fire shop and especially the fitter had put me in. I’m glad to say it’s all sorted and would highly recommend you getting in contact if you have any issues with the fire and its fitting.

My query was answered promptly within less than 24 hours. Where I sought clarification it was provided quickly and for my benefit in layman’s terms. I was even offered advice on how to tackle my predicament.

I made one phone call which was answered within 10 seconds to request a Hetas Certificate and the young lady, who was so very friendly and helpful said she would email one to me. it came within 3 or 4 minutes!
What an incredible company and what brilliant service.

I recently completed the HETAS H011 Sweep & Service course and thought it was fantastic. I called HETAS regarding a query on my application and they were very helpful. They quickly put me onto the relevant department who were more than happy to help, and again very polite and professional. I was sent some further documentation via emails regarding my application, and once sent over I was again quickly responded back with confirmation and clear instruction on what would happen next and that someone will be in touch again very soon to finalise my application.
The service I received from start to finish is very good and would recommend them the anyone who is interested in becoming HETAS registered.

Had a recent couple of phone conversations with Elliott organising some paperwork and documents and he has made the whole process a breeze. Would highly recommend!
