Soooo satisfied, Bud is doing great, and the friendly doctors and all comforted me and then they comforted my cat!
My cat was acting all scared and they helped calm him down nicely, he got into a fight fight and scratched on the eye, but the veterenarians knew exactly how to help 😉

We have had good experience with HomeAgain before and have recently registered a new dog with them. We chose the premium membership because it was reasonably priced and offered many benefits. We just had an issue with our 6mos old AussiDoodle and our vet couldn't see her for several hours so we called the med Hotline. A short wait and we had great professional, courteous service with constructive advice 10/28/25and peace of mind.

I had some issues registering the chip for our new kitten, so I called. The customer service is simply execrable. The first operator pretty much hung up on me (as I was finishing my sentence which was a simple question!), I managed to work the second, but damn they both made me feel like I was wasting their time, and couldn't wait to simply hang up, leaving me with hanging questions. Not a great feeling for something I've physically altered my kitten with. If I had known I would've taken a chip another company. Too late now :/

I’ve been paying a yearly fee for a few years. My dog escaped out of the house and someone found her. They scanned the chip and it shows it’s not active. I PAY A YEARLY FEE!!!!!!! it’s not due to be renewed until 03/03/2026!!!! I was able to locate her on FB and she’s not sitting at the humane society. It’s Saturday and they’re not open until Monday and she has to take medication daily twice a day! I’m canceling the membership as soon as I pick her up! Basically been paying for something that doesn’t work! Theft!

I received a message to renew my subscription. When I tried, it said my account was locked due to multiple attempts to access. I had tried 2 times. I messaged them and was then able to access. It was a disaster. I entered a credit card 2 times, continued to get message to enter card. Trying to exit site, message states to renew. I called customer service and no one answered. What a crap company. I just want my dog’s microchip registered.

The first thing I hear is an upsell of their premium listing… What the HECK?
My cat is MISSING - and you are upselling me?
Heartless business.

I called HomeAgain to make sure my name & address were correct on my account as I adopted a cat who already had a HomeAgain microchip from his previous parent. Casey answered the phone and was extremely helpful & informative. He sent me the emails I needed in order to submit the info for my update & it was all resolved quickly. This is a ridiculous pet microchip recovery company! I got my puppy neutered and microchip. The vet hospital used homeagain microchip. I went online to create a new account and enroll my pup. I couldn't go pass the RED error message on their website .. cannot read properties Null (READING CONTACT).
So I sent inquiry through their website contact form, and later got message from customer service :
Please accept our condolences for the passing of your pet. Your account has been updated to reflect this sad news.... If we could be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to email or contact us.
I sent them a reply stating my pup is very much alive and their record is wrong! I didn't even get a response with apology.
I certainly cannot trust this company's database record keeping and the company itself?
As someone who works in the vet field, the customer service experience is only getting worse. On one occasion, when some neighborhood kids brought in a lost pet, HomeAgain was very unhelpful. The pet was scanned, and luckily had a chip. The agent asked that I give these minors HomeAgain’s phone number so they could sort it out themselves. Previously, I was able to get a phone number to try to contact the owner. Even after explaining that I was calling from a vet facility, I was not helped in any sense. I’m not sure what happened to the pet after that. It’s extremely disappointing being that this company advertises how much it reunites pets with their owners.
Another instance was trying to inquire about a registration to an international address. The agent was VERY snarky. After I kept repeating what country, all she kept asking was whether that country was in the US or UK, as if she was trying to make me feel dumb. She offered no help on the matter. As a final plea, I asked if there was anything she can do to help this owner & again, she was very rude (I believe her words were “yeah, I just said that). So now this owner has a microchipped cat with no contact info.
Going forward, I’m registering my pets to another microchip company. I can’t even recommend this company to others anymore. I’ve used HomeAgain over 20 years. But it seems that their agents are not properly trained or just simply don’t care. That’s not what I need if my pets ever get lost.
The reply does not excuse the carelessness and attitude of the agents that are literally there to help customers with their pets. Not providing veterinary staff with vital information is a huge red flag for a microchip company. I can only hope you can do better for others in the future.

We've micro chipped our pets and this provides a great piece of mind. I recently used their Medical Hotline and it was a time, financial savings and it provided me with a huge piece of mind. If you do have HomeAgain - remember the Medical Hotline.

The veterinarian that administered the microchip on my request mistakenly put the wrong name and address on the chip. After that, the system will not let me register my pet. I called them and spoke to them for 15 minutes and they refused to change the information even though I clearly have the invoice and the information so I called the vet and the vet called them and told them about the mistake. They refused to change the information, even though the Vet veterinary clinic themselves who administered the chip was telling them about the mistake. So now my pet has a microchip that is not registered to me and no one will fix it for me. It was not my fault. It was the clinic’s mistake, but you think since the clinic placed the chip in our dog, they would listen to them and fix the information.
What do I do get a lawsuit based on an inexpensive item? This is ridiculous.

My pet found a hole in the fence so she decided to time for a walk. Someone called HomeAgain who in turned call both my husband and I. We found Tater just strolling in the neighborhood. So thank you for the alert. Sorry this review was latest to post.

Sign up way very easy. Yes - the whole "pay for registration on the microchip after paying for your animal to be microchipped, yearly" - isn't ideal, but that's unfortunately how it seems to be anymore - either way - This company has a 247 365 emergency vet line where you can call incase something happens to your pet -i.e. your pet eats some grapes like my Zoe did. My vet was not open, and when I had reached out to the "emergency" vet attached to my vets office, they suggested I had called poison control - this would have cost 100$ just for the phone call alone, once. That call took me over 20 mins. to even connect with someone when I had gotten another message saying if she was registered with HomeAgain, I would be able to call and wave the fee. Hoping that it would be quicker - I hopped on and they picked up right away. They were very understanding, kind, patient, and treated me with nothing but with respect. With the $19.99 a year that I pay for my girl to have her chip registered plus the fee waved for any emergency poison control situations (I hope that this will forever be my one and only, but I wasn't planning for this one - so you NEVER KNOW) or any other afterhour emergency needs that my vet may not be able to answer right away on, this is PERFECT for me.
I have read the other comments before posting this and i have to say i am quite shocked at how low the rating was vs what my experience was with this company. Thank you HomeAgain for being there when we needed you the most.

Be aware that Home Again has started refusing to completely register your pet unless you pay for a yearly subscription. So you will pay for the microchip at the vet—and when you try to register the animal, Home Again will continually tell you that the enrollment "is not complete." It will hold the microchip hostage for a $20 a year subscription. This is new, I've been registering cats with them for many years. It's really unconscionable.
