The service I received from Jack Wilby…
The service I received from Jack Wilby of HFS was very professional, informative and detailed. The phone call appointments were on time and care was taken to explain financial impact of equity release decisions. All my questions were answered and Jack took time to evaluate my objectives fully in order to find the best product on the market for my needs. Also all stages of the process, from applying to receiving funds, were explained. Patience
We first contacted HUB back in August 2025 and finally drew down our equity release funds in June 2026. During this time we continued contact with our agent Steve Harris who was always helpful and very patient and can be fully recommended.

Firstly, the process was conducted in a very timely manner, which was very welcome at the time, which was down to Mr Ashley Quate, however, their valuation of my property was far lower than the market value, which in turn increased the interest on my lifetime mortgage

Dont bother
Dont bother, wanted an interest rate for equity release. After three weeks they still want information we havn't got (redemption statement from existing lender). Too many hoops to jump through to get basic info.

Obtaining the best annuity offer.
Have been dealt with by Laura re the details of converting an old pension pot from Aviva into an annuity with a better offer than Aviva could provide. Laura has very patiently and efficiently dealt with all the details, with the result that we had the best offer from Legal & General, which is now being processed. we were also dealt in the initial stages by Andrew who also gave excellent advice and service.
