The staff at the salon that Jivaka…
The staff at the salon that Jivaka recommended were a bit rude. The consultant and the person who was there to translate were kind, but the doctor and desk staff weren't very friendly. I was satisfied with the result, but it was quite impersonal. Not entirely unexpected though.
The English translator did a poor job…
The English translator did a poor job of translating what was actually said and we felt very confused throughout the process.

Pleasant experience with Alen. She explained pros and cons of the procedure well.
Translator was great
Translator was great. Service was also very good. Answered my questions well. However I thought I was going to be consulting with a doctor, but I don’t think the consult was with one. I was hoping there would be some kind of in depth evaluation of my skin before recommending the treatment but the consult just took a look at my face and recommended a service for me. Perhaps with experience they could tell what type of acne it was, but the recommendation felt quite generic.

Staff didn’t explain about my choice of…
Staff didn’t explain about my choice of treatment instead recommended another treatment which is more expensive. Although it’s my choice to chose the more expensive treatment, I would have preferred that they inform me that my choice of treatment requires multiple times which is not feasible for me when I book the appointment instead of only informing during the consult. They didn’t come to me to explain about the aftercare after the treatment and only gave a generic aftercare card. Also didn’t inform about the tax refund which I had to ask for it myself. Overall would not recommend.
Professional and make me relax
First time to do this for under-eye. I was worried before, but after consult she provided the professional idea to me. When doing this, the process was fast and make me relax.
There are Chinese staff to help me translate, its very helpful.

Good everything nice
Long waiting time
I went to the myeongdong outlet and my appointment is at 2pm. I was there on time and was referred to a consultant for consultation. The consultation was fast and I was told that the treatment procedure is only 15 mins + numbing cream around 20-30 mins. To my horror, I only managed to leave the clinic at 5pm. Long duration of waiting time and I was told that they are very busy so I have to wait. Expectation duration given was only 1 hour but I was there for 3 hours…. This resulted in me being late for my next appointment… The clinic should have better time management as me being a visitor here have limited time in Seoul.

Jivaka is my go to for beauty appointments in Korea. Responsive team. I've used their services since 2018, and have booked many appointments for myself and friends and family.

Great experience ever!
I had my laser facelift (Ultherapy) with Jivaka Beauty. Overall the booking process was smooth. Jivaka staff was great at their job, explaining procedures thoroughly, answered my questions. Procedure went well and it was definitely worth of money. The reception staff didn't speak English but they had 1:1 English interpreter assigned for me and helped me to get consultation and treatment. I will definitely come back to Jivaka next time I visit Korea.
Laser Hair Removal
There were so many things that went wrong with my laser hair removal treatment.
First, I had made an appointment through the Jivaka website from the US after multiple communications with one of their consultants. I thought everything was set. When I came in the office for the treatment, there was no appointment scheduled so my appointment was delayed by at least 30 minutes. Apparently, there was another non-Korean client who had the same experience as me since I heard them apologizing for the lack of appointment in the schedule.
After the paperwork and payments, I was ushered to go to a different floor for treatment. Unfortunately, most of the folks who administer the treatments do not speak much English. It was very difficult for me to communicate that I wanted numbing cream. Additionally, I paid extra to have a certain area lasered and I am confident the doctor did not laser the additional part, so money wasted on paying extra for a service I did not receive.
After I finished my treatment, I was issued a prescription without any instructions as to what the prescription was for, how much I should take/use and for how long. I had to text them multiple times to get the specifics. Thankfully, Susie who helped me check in was helpful in getting this info for me afterwards but it was a rather frustrating process, given the lack of English speaking staff on the treatment floor.
I would not recommend this place if you do not speak Korean since English is limited to the check-in staff and beauty consultants.

Clinic was near to our hotel in…
Clinic was near to our hotel in myeongdong which was convenient.
Attending doctor is skillful and patient.
The set up in the clinic was modern and nice with English speaking consultants who I believe was assigned to manage non Korean speaking patients. That was very helpful.
However found out subsequently that there was a ‘local rate’ and ‘a tourist rate’ (due to additional translation services required it appears’.) Would have been a perfect experience if not for this.
Otherwise overall recommended.
There are so much unsatisfactory
There are so much unsatisfactoriness but I’ll try my best to sum up. On the day of my procedure, I was brought to an translator who was just asking what treatments I was looking for but there wasn’t any recommendations or suggestions from the dermatologist as what is the condition of my skin and what treatments I should get. Even though staff were trying their best to help with the translator but I did not feel welcome rather ignored. Finally finishing the treatment my face was feeling extremely red and dry, so I asked if there are any post treatment, and they said no so leaving my face out dry in this extremely cold weather… Overall this is my first and also the last time that I will be visiting this clinic.

The staff are very sweet and can speak english too. The doctor also very nice. Even though i don’t make the procedure there because the Doctor said it is difficult for them to treat my problem, I still like them! Because they are transparent! Go visit there if you want to make any face treatment!
