I was in A&E at Queens Med Nottm. when I realised how low my battery was, turned out I'd broken my finger. I spotted the power bank machine and clocked the £3 charge for utilising it, which seemed fair. My first issue was that the cable adaptor kept slipping out of my phone. I had no idea that there was any kind of time limit and as I was waiting in a treatment area for around 3 hrs for a orthopaedic surgeon to tend my finger, I wasn't able to return the charger in case I was absent when it finally came to my turn. So I was surprised and disappointed to find out later that I was being charged £5.88, guess I should have read the small print and not the large £3 advertisement.
BUYER BEWARE!
Costly experience, typical of a company that's profits at the expense of others.

Realised after leaving the cinema that my phone was on 5% battery and I still needed to check bus times and travel home. Easy to rent and charged my phone quick enough while I grabbed something to eat so it had enough power to get me home, if using again hopefully my phone's not so low that I can use the app as it was a little stressful not seeing the rental charge after returning it on my bank yet and just the £30 pending approval charge. Customer services were very helpful though. They found the rental, confirmed the cost for the time used and that they could see the return went through successfully. It just can take up to 5 days depending on your bank for the pending charge to clear and the correct one to show. Have now downloaded the app incase I need it in future.

Unfortunately I had no other option as I was in A&E at UCL waiting to be seen by a doctor. Used power bank for 45 min returned and today find out got charged £26.04. What an absolute extortion. Avoid using them if you can.

Honestly awful experience with them I rented a power bank which charged really slow and once I returned it the machine was not registering it which resulted in me getting charged £30 for not returning it when I sent pictures of it inside the machine. I spoke to a person who took forever to reply and they were not helpful at all. Made me a return the next day and still never solved the issue.

Joos is a fantastic service! At the end of my night Joos saved me, I was running low and was worried I wouldn't be able to get home safe. In comes Joos I rented a power bank, the I had enough charge to get home. I returned the power bank to a local train station the next day. I'm really impressed by their service!

My phone was on 16% so I got one of these. Complete rubbish and a waste of money. It would stop charging even tho I wasn’t moving my phone or the wire, and not even able to speak to anybody to change the power bank as this one was clearly damaged or maybe all of them are just useless. But since you get charged for 30 mins I decided to keep using it. 20 minutes later my phone had gone from 16% to 5%. Complete rubbish and a waste of money.

Easy to access, what made all the difference for me was the charge speed! I was not expecting for the device to charge my phone as quickly as it did, which made all the difference in a time of need. I felt for the service it was a beyond reasonable price

Brilliant! Could not be easier.
We were out for the day and my teenager was on the verge of running out of battery. Fear struck his heart so a solution was needed pronto. Thankfully Joos came to the rescue. I was braced for some long winded registration process. To my surprise it was truly effortless. 2 minutes later I was in possession of a powerbank and a happy teenager!

Hired one of the devices in a&e, returned it within the hour and the app did not recognise it as returned. Contacted customer services and was the most useless things I could have done. I was told to go to someone to turn the charging station off at the back to reset it as it probably had bad reception. Meanwhile, the next 30min slot started and I have been charged for it. Whoever was in the chat kept saying there was not much they could do as I hadn’t returned, even though from the beginning I had been asked and sent pictures of where the charger had been returned. I have been told it had been ejected to push it back in but it hadn’t been ejected, sent another picture and was told nothing could be done and once the machine shows it received I “might” receive a refund! Totally unacceptable, scaming company that expects the customer to hang around in a hospital a&e room, bother the staff instead of repairing their stations or sending someone from their maintenance team. As of now, it still shows as not returned and I am sure I’m going to be charged the £30 pounds: Appalling service I won’t be using again.

Went to hospital unexpectedly. And it was the one day that I didn't have my mobile charger in my bag - typical. But Joos saved the day as I could rent a battery pack through that. It was a little complicated to get set up especially as I was hobbling around on one leg in the A&E. However got it done and it lasted one full charge.
I felt it was a little expensive but I suppose people only need in an unplanned emergency so willing to pay the cost. If it were cheaper, I might even use it more often when out and about.
