Key bank should NEVER be trusted with…

Key bank should NEVER be trusted with your money. They wouldn't allow me with legal papers to close an account, their legal wouldn't return my call, and then allowed someone else to close that account. NEVER will I ever stop letting people know how badly they handled the legal end of this!!!!

Worst bank ever

Zero stars isn't an option.... bummer. They are disorganized liars. Signed up with a promotional offer. 3 months later haven't received bonus. I call. After long wait times, and a good 15 or 20 min on the phone with the rep, they tell me it will be deposited by the end of the month. Beginning of next month, still no bonus. Another call. Still long wait times, but this time, the rep says it will be there in two days. Fast forward to today, (4 days later). Still no bonus. I call again. Now they say that I don't qualify because I had had a key account to close previously to the offer. The offer was mailed and addressed to ME! Why would they make an offer they wouldn't honor? Why would two reps tell me the bonus was coming. This bank is a complete s**t show. I will never put another dime in a key bank account. I wouldn't even put YOUR money in a keybank account. You're better off sticking your money under your mattress (not that I'm actually advocating that, find a bank, just not Key)

Taking money from a disabled person

My son had an account at key Bank in Sandy he was in a severe car accident and he had $278 in his account I had called the bank and told them that my son was in a severe accident and he has a TBI and she said okay well we won't be taking any of you know the wonderful service fees and everything from him and can get guardianship so I now have guardianship I called the bank and Sandy that told me they weren't going to do it and his account is mysteriously minus $20 it's pretty sad that a company like this that told me they weren't going to do nothing by taking his service fees out that actually stole money from a disabled person it disgusts . The account is under last name Cassidy.

They suck

My name is John bonavoglia on January 5th I went to a atm in a 7-11 to withdraw my funds from my key bank unemployment account I had spent the last two days trying to get in touch with them to get to the bottom of my money that was not there it was withdrawn somehow out of my account every hour I waited on the phone I either got hung up on or if someone picked up they couldn’t help me they diverted me to the disputes dept that has no direct connection to a agent that you could speak to regarding the theft or my money they 1 day later get in touch with someone again after trying and holding for hours they said I have a case gave me the case number then patched me through to only wait again for 1 and a half hours to be hung up on again and they have my phone number to reach me not one phone call back my money is lost it’s all I have I’m unemployment and now have to hope I get a call back and situation resolved not happy with there services it’s not business like and makes matters worse for account holders to know that they can’t get help right away with a matter as severe as this is not the way to help people with fraud they are fdic insured and I should of got my funds while they look into resolving the case nobody should be put through this I’m extremely pissed and still clueless of what’s going on and or what’s happening to get my money back this will not be the only review I write regarding this and if necessary I will bring reporting this to the better business bureau and other review sites that with post to world web and as well try to get the media involved as well

Very slimy bank

Recently took out a mortgage with key. After taking 4 months for approval the appaised my property for what was 80,000 under true market value. Now that I am dealing with a reputable bank turns out it was 95,000. Keybank 240000 Trustco 335000 7months apart. I initially confronted the appraisor for key who told me he had never seen my property and was only certifieeing the banks numbers. Totally botched to the point of taking pictures marked 3rd bedroom and comping as a 2 bedroom. I have been trying for 6 weeks to get them to waive pre payment penalties for 6 weeks no one has ever returned a call, customer service is impossible and the local branch is useless. Once my new loan is in place I plan on filing a claim against them for the penalty fees along with new filing fees. Can't imagine a worse bank. They have caused unnecessary stress and financial hardship.

KeyBank is an easy-to-use banking…

KeyBank is an easy-to-use banking service for your savings or checking account. I would definitely recommend banking with Key as their customer service is super friendly and always helps me with my problems. They're very knowledgeable, and their services are pretty standard. Only problem is that they're not super big so finding an ATM with Key is difficult depending on where you're located.

No Integrity

It seems to me that when applying for a loan the bank and its customer are entering in a kind of unspoken contract. The bank has agreed to loan the requested money to the customer under the qualifying circumstances and the customer agrees to take the loan if they qualify. This unspoken contract is to ensure that each party is not wasting each others time and not putting the other in a bad situation.
Key Bank violated that understanding. We qualified but for some reason they did not want to do the loan. We provided all the documentation to prove we qualified but the bank kept dragging things out and then further.
We applied for a boat loan. We gathered all the documents together to prove we qualified, not a small amount of work at that. After almost three weeks Key Bank asked for something that was kind of outrageous. They wanted to know how much Alaska Mining and Diving paid for the boat we were purchasing. The only thing the bank should be concerned with is how much the boat could be sold for if we defaulted. It seems clear now what Key Bank was trying to do was create circumstances in which the loan could be denied because not many dealers would be willing to provide such documentation and for understandable reasons. Unfortunately for Key Bank Alaska Mining and Diving did provide the documentation.
Almost immediately after AMDS provided the documentation we got a disturbing call from our loan officer, luckily. Angelina is the kind of person you want as a loan officer. She told us that after almost three weeks of work and working exclusively with Key Bank, keeping with our side of the contract, the Bank was going to take at least two more weeks to decide if we got the loan. Based on her tone of voice, apologetic and embarrassed, and answers to my question it was apparent that the Bank did not want to do the loan for some reason but could not deny us based on our qualifications. In essence they were telling us to to away but could not muster up the courage, integrity, or legitimate reasons for doing so. Instead they were putting us in a situation in which we could be denied the loan just a couple of weeks before we were to take delivery. We were forced to go elsewhere and are now scrambling just a month before we are to take delivery to get financing elsewhere.
Almost nine months before we had been insured by Jake that we were qualified and would get a loan, unless, of course, we were lying about our income and so forth. Luckily we applied much earlier than Jake recommended. Jake was not our loan officer but a manager as I understand it. We were lied to.
Key Bank is not an institution of integrity. Legitimate businesses simply do not treat customers like this. Managers do not lie to customers and under circumstances like this would at least go to bat to make things right. Have not heard a word from Jake. Have only had profuse apologies from Angelina. Skip this bank and save yourself the headache.

I am very disappointed with the service…

I am very disappointed with the service of Key Bank. I was scammed by an online fraudster and the bank is refusing to give me the details about the acquiring company that processed the transfers to the scammer. I was expecting the bank to protect my money, not the scammer's identity

Can't make purchase without 'fraud' triggering and turn off card. Banking phone support isn't really 24/7. F'ing people keep turning me card off for routine purchases. MASTERCARD VERIFICATION through Key fails to send out passcode to my email.

I am a new customer with key bank

I am a new customer with key bank, one of the first things the fraud department did was deactivated my card,( they said they suspected fraud).
I have purchased items from Israel that cost many hundreds of dollars; when I tried to purchase some clothes from a department store on line for (107.00), with a few cents, they deactivated my card, after deactivating the card, they never called; or texted to verify if I was the one making the purchase.
When I reported this to a manger named Ralph, of the contact department, he said, their fraud department was small; and that they couldn’t afford to text; or call everyone when they suppect fraud.
But I thought that is their job?????
Oh by the way, did I mention that he was rude????? Ralph the manger from the contact department. This happened to me from my home in East Amherst, N.Y.
