Kimberley - The Caravan & Motorhome People - Darlington Avis 

Very good salesman particularly when we exchanged our van for the new one. However, making telephone contact after sale has been difficult. The most helpful was folk from the Accounts dept who went out of their way to ensure I spoke to the right person. I was persistently fobbed off by the receptionist as to why I couldn’t speak to the original salesman.
I am pleased with our new caravan and subsequent help from your salesman has been good when we recently visited your site.

I was having a chilled Sunday scrolling through the internet and decided to look at new motorhomes. Found a brand new one that I quite liked, so sent off some part exchange details through the website at Kimberley caravans. Within an hour I had a call from Scott and we agreed a fair price for my part exchange, and 10 days later I made the 5 hour Drive from Kent to Darlington wondering if I made the right choice! I received a very warm welcome on arrival, I discovered I had an insurance issue with the new Motorhome upon arrival at the dealership but the handover team where very patient with me whilst it was resolved, I then had a very good handover with Paul, Drove the motorhome back to Kent through the night, loaded it up the next morning and away we went for our first weekend without any issues. I highly recommend Kimberley caravans.

Nick was great. We needed to pick the caravan up very quickly due to a personal commitment and Nick did everything necessary to make this happen. Great service

Called to pick up our new caravan and was greeted by Paul who walked us through every aspect of the caravans controls and set up. Very thorough and questioned if we were happy at every stage of the process, not a problem to go back through anything that we were unsure about. Very professional and made the handover a very pleasant experience.

Nothing but great words to say for the staff at kimberleys. Ended up with our dream motorhome and it was all sorted while I was away at work. Scott went out of the way to get everything ready for me coming home. When I went for the van, Paul gave a great handover and showed excellent knowledge of motorhomes and gave loads of handy tips and tricks. Really good laugh aswell which always helps.

The van has been really well looked after and had expensive wheels put on for the handover. Full service, MOT, habitat check and down plating all done before I got back from work. No expenses spared when preparing the van for collection.

I would highly recommend going to kimberleys for anything caravan and motorhome related.

Paul from Kimberley caravans handed over our new M.H. We were brand new to this lifestyle & Paul gave an absolute great rundown of everything we needed to know. He repeated things & let us video everything. He even showed how the auto driving worked. Really excellent & friendly approach.
Our dealings from the whole team start to finish has been 100° excellent. Tom who sold us the M.H was a brilliant source of advice & info.Then the sales team in the shop were excellent for advice when we were purchasing things from the T.V to levelling ramps & Paul who made the Handover experience less mind blowing to "WOW we think we can do this".

Do the job not not say it's done and have done nothing your service is absolutely rubbish

Great communication from the service team, they evaluated a warranty claim we had and arranged the remedial work with delay. The staff were very helpful and managed to carry out the work quickly, especially given the time of year when everyone wants their caraven for the summer.

Not proactive enough imo in addressing outstanding issues. I have to chase Kimberley every time to find out what's happening regarding defects reported months ago that are still ongoing.

Paid £1000 deposit and decided not to go a head with purchase with hp next day cancelled to be told we wouldn't get deposit back took 3 weeks of stress with getting legal advice totally ignoring our emails and phone calls eventually they paid up awful customer service with this company 👎

Very good from beginning to end

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The handover was really helpful as they went through the whole caravan with you to show how everything works. I would really recommend anyone to check these out.

We purchased our caravan from Nik Coleman (Salesman). The whole experience was very low pressure and we were given plenty time alone to decide as to what we wanted to do. Nik was very helpful and informative during the whole process. All in all it was a great experience purchasing our caravan from Kimberley Caravans.

All The staff where very helpful also the hand over of vehicle was great he was very thorough

Can I give no stars?!

I have never experienced such terrible treatment at the hands of so called sales manager and a salesman than I did at Kimberley Motorhome in Darlington.

The way they worked together to try keep my deposit once I had cancelled the order, is beyond disgusting and devious. I received an email stating that they didn’t think that they could give me my £1000 deposit for a false condition they tried to claim.

I experienced such a stressful time waiting and phoning continuously to demand my deposit. I have been paid my deposit back.

I will never venture into Kimberley Motorhome and Caravan in Darlington again.

Beware..We thought we had found our ideal caravan at Kimberly Darlington. Agreed a price for our trade in and paid a £1000.00 deposit on the Sunday, transfering the remaining balance on the Monday morning.
We were given a handover date for some 3 weeks later.
Come the handover day, we eere kept waiting for over 2 hours whilst they " ran their checks" on our trade in' we were kept a further half an hour while they made up their minds who was going to demonstrate our new caravan. Finally got to sit down to sign the forms when the landed their bombshell telling us our trade in had severe damp in the front which was rotten. They then produced a quote for £2000.00 to rectify this before they could sell on expecting me to accept a lower price for my trade in.
They seemed a little shocked when I refused to pay any more than the agreed price. There was no negotiation, no movement at all so I terminated the sale immediately and took my old caravan back.
I consequently had two independent damp checks carried out and no damp or rot was found by either tradesmen.
I have since sold the caravan privately and received £1000.00 more than they offered me in the first instance.
This is a tactic I have heard being used by lesser traders and expected more from Kimberly.
They lost out on a £21000.00 sale.
