Thought I was paying for drinks in a cafe and it signed me up. Tried to take £1 from my account as a tester payment - likely that more would have followed. I ended up cancelling everything with the bank. Beware it seems to be through dodgy QR codes!

This is a scam. My credit card was compromised and a payment was stolen on the 14th of December. Luckily my limit was too low and they only managed to get R23.00. I have no idea how this could happen.
Update: Capitec takes no responsibility for this type of fraud. Apparently card numbers as well as CSV 's are stolen from big companies like Netflix, Shein, or Takealot and sold. This is how they are able to scam people successfully. If you have EVER purchased ANYTHING online you are at risk too! I have set my online limit to 0. For now this is the ONLY way to protect yourself. Stay safe out there. We are sitting ducks.

Today ,14decemver 2023 major muscles hacked into my banking account and took 1500 rand without authorization and how did they just get into my account and how did they get my credit card creditentials. They are scam artists and I contacted my bank and they must do a whole investigation. Hopefully can get my money back.

Ring Go Parking scam
Thought I was paying for parking via ring go for the company van and it said it wouldn't accept my card, now I've been signed up to a monthly subscription and they had no problems taking £60 out of my account. SCAM

Thought I was paying for a parking…
Thought I was paying for a parking ticket using ringgo. Turns out £1 left my account and then £59.99 was taken. I called the fraud dept of my bank who sorted it. 1 hour ago and a week later they tried again but the card was cancelled. SCUM

I signed up to a site yesterday to stream a hockey game. It was a sport streaming website and I paid £1 on my card to do so.
Checked today and I had an email saying I was going to be charged £60 in 24 hours for my monthly subscription to Major Muscles.

A scam company.
At 10.44am today I ( and many other people) were scammed by this company into paying for a subscription using my credit card, having been told that I had won a prize in a Facebook competition run by Doves Farm?
Ok I was very stupid and should have known better but it’s happened.
I am trying to get my money returned but not holding out much hope.
