Company is totally unresponsive. Product is very poor quality and improperly sized. DO NOT BUY THEIR SHIT.

Regretabily, I should fact check this company prior to place my order.
As it turn out this is a front of an off-shore Chinese company and merchandise are directly shipped from China. Sizes are not Canadian sizes. The boots I received are so small but it claimed to be size 41 (meanwhile I ordered size 9).
To exchange they advertise free shipping but you need to pay first and then how can I be sure it would the correct size. It sure sounds like a scam to me.
And to get the refund i need to either pay the international shipping or accept 10% refund of the original cost. So either way they got me!
What a ripoff!

I thought this was a Canadian company and forgot to fact check. Received a very poorly made jacket that doesn't fit. The boots were okay but didn't fit either. I contacted them for a return on January 15th but just received the auto response email. Goods are junk. I'm out about $130. My stupidity. Don't buy from them!

Do not trust!!! Advertised as made in Canada…all items were made in China. The “coat” is more the thickness of a sweater and the XL was too small to be labeled XL. I tried 3 emss as ils and no response. No phone number to be found. The same boots on Amazon.ca were less than 1/2 the price. STEER CLEAR!

This website is a scam. I ordered 2 bracelets for $85. Received completely different cheap looking bracelets that didn’t resemble the ones I ordered. When I wanted a refund, they said I had to pay for shipping to return them but the cost of shipping to China was more than the cost of the bracelets. On the website it did not say it was a Chinese company.

The product I received was nothing close to the description or website photo.
The website picture showed a soft, knitted sweater in muted blue and orange tones.
The one I received had horrible, brash colors in a cheap polyester. The stitching is crooked (like a high school sewing class student's work) and sleeves and collar don't even hang evenly. The cuffs were tacked on in a different color, not woven as part of the sleeve.
I am beyond disappointed in the deception of the description.

They offered a choice of a 20% refund and keep the top or cover the cost of sending it back to China, which is more than the cost of the shirt. It’s a good scam for them. They still get to keep 30% of the profit for cheap materials.

This company is NOT Canadian and is fraudulently using the Ottawa name to scam customers. The merchandise is very inferior and all attempts to get a return confirmed have gone nowhere. DO PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPENY!

I ordered a week ago thinking it was a Canadian Company. The phone number is certainly not Canadian. I have received no order number or tracking number. I only discovered the phone number on my PayPal account was not Canadian when I checked that information.
This company is a scam and definitely not legit in that it is posing as a Canadian company.

Just received an order (late I might add), for an item that was supposed to be XL but lucky if its a medium, and very terrible quality. Definitely stay away from this company, and it falsely give the impression it's a Canadian company, it is not. Chinese manufactured and parent company is in Texas.

Would give zero if possible. Ottawa-mode presents itself as a wonderful Canadian company-received a different coat from what I ordered, snap missing, terrible quality-thin and the only solution is to give me 10 percent off or mail the coat back to China. Total rip off- I am so stupid- I usually watch carefully but not this time-over $100- now have to go to my credit card

Have to add-they then agreed to give me 30 percent back- said twice it was processed back on my credit card which it was not. Now if you go to their web site it has been removed-but replaced with another name. I guess the name of this review should be “buyer beware-even of reviews”

Terrible company placed an order on the 7 December and still not received anything why do companies have to scam innocent hard working people out of their money

Total scam of a company. Placed order, paid for order, NEVER RECEIVED ORDER. Now I ha c e to fight to get my money back. Who has time for this nonsense

its a total scam. The clothes are a very poor quality. it impossible to return the item. They don't even reply to the email. You are basically stock with your purchase, but price is pretty high for the quality of the product. You better stay away from this company. I paid $140 for the dress, that looks like $10 dress.

What a scam!!! The clothes are very poor quality and look nothing like the pictures shown. When I told them dress was too small, they asked for pictures! They start by offering a small reimbursement and if you decide to return for full refund, they basically say it will take a long time to see your refund and you have to pay a lot to return item. Such a scam.

Do not order from this company!!!!! The pictures of clothing look stylish and the price is affordable however the clothing looks very different ( color is off, material cheap) when you receive your order. It takes a month to receive an order. There return policy and cancellation policy is false. Because it was taking so long to receive my order and it had not been shipped I requested a cancellation. 13 emails later going back and forward they would not cancel my order . The order did arrive after a month and I was very disappointed in the color, material and more importantly it didn’t look like the picture on their IG page. I requested a return label immediately and after 3 weeks of emails offering me discounts and additional outfits I have not received a return label. It’s been almost 2 months! I am exhausted with the emails . so I have an outfit I will not wear .
Do not order from them! They are a scam!

This skirt is so beautiful and true to size.The fabric is so soft and comfortable and it washes well.I'm going to wear it this fall!

Ho inoltrato un ordine il 4 agosto. A distanza di oltre tre settimane ancora non lo avevano spedito. Chiedo quindi di annullare l'ordine e di restituirmi i soldi. Dopo altri 7 giorni mi arriva la comunicazione che hanno spedito 1 vestito, ma degli altri nessun invio, nè hanno provveduto a restituirmi i soldi.

Placed an order that never arrived! Had to email "company" to get a tracking number. Waited over a month and checked tracking often. Tracking claimed that the package arrived at my zip codes "usps distribution center". My zip code has a less than 400 population so calling a tiny post
office a distribution center was ridiculous. Emailed multiple times and was always given a somewhat reasonable sounding excuse. Finally they offered me a 60% refund stating they were also taking a financial hit due to cost of shipping (not my fault but after 2 months of waiting for nothing 60% was better than nothing.) Waited 15-25 days for money to be returned to my account and nothing. Emailed again, more excuses but the refund "had been authorized" but nothing about a confirmation number. I have waited yet another 15 days and same result. Funny my money disappeared from my account instantly, but returning it takes divine power and infinite patience obviously.... not holding my breath for even a penny to be returned.

Do not under any circumstances do business with this company, it falsely states it is selling Lane Bryant clothing when in fact it is not. This is a sly scamming company and you will never recieve a thing. Trying to get a refund is impossible. My other gripe is the fact that they actually advertise on Facebook so, many others have likely been scammed. Other than leaving a review about modes.com what would the best place be to report this situation?

I placed an order over a month ago. Which I thought was from Lane Bryant. I never got my package. Said it was delivered by the post office. I went to the post office and they said right away that my order # was not a valid one. I contacted this “company” several times and they swore they were a legit company and they said they’d expedite another order for me. Not holding my breath!! I contacted Lane Bryant and all they could tell me was that they were aware their company has been used for fraudulent activity and are looking into it.
