EDIT: my order was refunded, thanks to the customer care team.
Beware international shoppers: Still waiting for my refund after returning an order 2 months ago. I decided to make an order through the concierge service, as they promised free returns and that the order was all-tax inclusive. After sending back the order, I was promised a refund but as time went by both the online and concierge team have stopped responding to me.
I even saw the item was very swiftly put back online, but the team said they are waiting to send the item to/fro Italy and France.
Very disappointing experience, and I was naive to think that this is a reputable store comparable to Matches, Farfetch etc. but clearly they don't have proper procedures (I did not even receive a formal invoice) and policies in place to run a concierge team or online store.

I purchased the item for more than 300 EUR, and they didn't allow to return it as they said it is a "final sale".
It is ridiculous and illegal.
Never ever again

1 Punkt Abzug dafür, dass man beim Rückversand eine Abholung arrangieren muss. Ich würde gern selbst bestimmen wann und wo ich mein Paket abschicke, so bin ich gezwungen daheim zu sitzen und zu warten. Das ist für mich Grund genug dort nicht mehr zu bestellen. Sorry

This website contacted me to give me offers for vat free shopping when i bought from them they did not inform me that i have to pay for customs and duties in my country and they refuse to refund me and instead to give voucher to buy again under their conditions. Its completely bad and unacceptable

Worst customer service I have ever…

Worst customer service I have ever received and we are a family of frequent purchases.
After many emails explaining I had a problem with some Stella McCartney sneakers they agreed I could return them for assessment.
4 weeks on and many emails, I still have no sneakers. I have been given many excuses. Lots of delay tactics. I now have no trust in this company I will not use them again, and nor will family or friends.

Bitterly disappointing experience

Bitterly disappointing experience trying to buy some shoes.

Attempt 1: Kept being told the shoes I wanted couldn't be shipped to the UK (even though I was on the UK website and the prices were in GBP).

Attempt 2: Managed to finally buy the shoes, only to be told the next day that they were out of stock and the order was cancelled.

Attempt 3: Bought the shoes again in a different size (it said there were 2 left in stock when checking out), only to be told AGAIN the next day that they were out of stock.

Now the shoes are out of stock in all sizes and I am left extremely frustrated.

Customer service no where to be seen.

This was my first and final time trying to buy anything from modes.com

UPDATE TO MY REVIEW! So, Modes emailed me after I left my review on here and told me that they would be glad to show me the real MODES experience by offering me a 20% discount code on my next purchase hoping that this gesture brings me to remove the public review on Trustpilot. I laughed when I read this. After trying to scam me they are now offering a 20% discount as if I would ever buy from these scammers again! Of course they want me to delete my review, they don’t want the public to know about their lies and my terrible experience. 💀

Where’s my item

I ordered a pair of shoes on the 1st August and am still waiting for them to be delivered. They have been in “clearance event” since the 2nd August and having contacted customer services on two separate occasions I am no nearer knowing when and if they will be delivered. I asked for a refund but I can’t have one until they have been sent to me and I have returned them back. With the current timescale this could be months. I also didn’t realised they were being shipped from Italy which if I’d known would have stopped me from ordering. Please be very careful before ordering from this company. Read the small print and know beforehand where your item is being shipped from. From a customer service standpoint, being the purchaser I would think my request for a refund would have been sorted which would have prevented me from writing this negative review. The order could have easily been cancelled and the goods returned to them by the courier. It may also have swayed me in purchasing items from them in the future. Not now!
