Scammers! Absolutely disgusting. Should be illegal! NOT TV LICENCE PEOPLE !

I wish I had seen the 1 star reviews before I used the service. They pretend to be the council you are trying to deal with, but they are actually a money grabbing private company. When claiming a council tax refund you get taken straight to the appropriate page. Only on the home page do they say they are in independent company. I didn't get a confirmation of payment and I couldn't find an email address to complain to. Absolute shysters.

Scam website!!!! They charge £16.50 to change address and dont actually action it. By the way, you can do this for free on the TV licence government website

This service was easy for updating all the firms I needed, I hit a snag while entering my details, but the chat guys were able to sort it for me, just had some trouble closing the chat box so might want to fix that.

My mum tried to call tv licensing for weeks and couldnt get through, this site was able to help with the info she needed and also advised council and broadband of the move at same time so def more helpful than other services, it's a time-saver instead of ringing everyone up gaz

This company pretends to be the actual company that you are searching for online. For example, when you search for TV Licensing to change your address, their name comes out in a search in front of the real TV Licensing authority. When they charge you £16.50 to change your address, you still think you are dealing with the real TV LIcensing authority. And this is legal?

My-Council have scammed me out of £13.25 to cancel my TV Licence, which is a free service from TV Licensing. My-Council give the appearance of an officially-approved organisation by using the word 'Council' in their name, so implying credibility, and by coming up first on a Google search of 'How to cancel a TV Licence' with a website which lists a number of councils and gives the appearance of being affiliated to them. Now that I check my official TV Licence account, 6 weeks after paying £13.25 to My-Council for what is a free service from TV Licensing, I find My-Council haven't cancelled my TV Licence, far less applied for the licence refund I am due and which is reducing by each month that they delay the cancellation. I have received no correspondence nor receipt from them for my payment, only a payment from my bank account to them for £13.25. Sadly, I hadn't read the scathing reviews of My-Council on Trust Pilot. Don't make the same mistake!

I recently used to update my utility companies and change my address, overall it was a positive experience was straightforward to use website makes it easy to fill in all the info

I did notice that the cost of royal mail postage has also gone up over the last year and they did another increase recently so overall seems worth the fee to get them all updated.

Helpful site for moving sorted out and notified my council also helped me via chat to answer some questions which helped alot, as could not get hold of my local brighton council at all for days and their website is very confusing. was easy to use for me thats not good with computers and hate waitng on phones for hours, thanks K

Saved a lot of time for me as usually when moving house it takes me like two weeks to contact everyone this service made it easy for me to pick and choose which ones I wanted to notify

website was easy to use. There were a few suppliers missing from the lists, but most of them were there, so given 4 stars as some where missing

Almost fell for paying £16.50 for TV licence change, something that is for free. I wonder how it is possible that these guys come up first on google search. Also, they are (likely intentionally) hard to find on Trustpilot - URL is my-utility.uk, website name is mytvupdate, company name is Borough Processing Ltd, but it is operated by my-council.uk. Looks like a clever scam but why would it be so hard to get them closed down as this is clearly exploiting consumers?

Was having lots of difficulty contacting my local council by phone and when visiting their offices, they just kept telling me to go online, but no support given!!!

This service was able to help me for this with live agents you can actually talk to was also able to informed few other companies that i have moved home, many thanks will recommend thanks Paul

SCREW THIS COMPANY. Stupid SEO has fooled me and others into paying for a free service.

Its impossible to get through to my council phone lines are never answered and they keep directing me online with no help, these guys were able to answer my query via chat and guide me through to get my council tax updated in less than 5 mins.

I do not know why every website does not have this feature, all done now thank you

This service makes it easy to update all of the companies i needed, got stuck whe filling in my information but the chat service helped me get through

I think one company was missing but overall has saved me alot of time rather than having to call everyone, will use in future but hopefully wont move for awhile

This is a copy of my Email to Mid Devon District Council today who are driving me into despair.

Just a disgraceful scam. I moved house and 4 weeks later got a letter through the post addressed to the occupier saying that there was no TV license for this address. I had forgotten to change my address so I went on the website provided and paid 16.50 to change the address. After I had done this I googled and found out that there is no charge on the official website. My bank can't do anything so I just have to swallow it. DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!!!
