Very good company

Very good company to deal with, finance was all set up quickly any queries I had were dealt with instantly and all calls throughout the term period were answered efficiently and professionally, smooth from start to finish, would highly recommend.

This company is criminal!

I had my previous car on a PCP with these clowns. When my PCP ended they just took the settlement figure without informing me. I asked why and they said its not their process its up to me to remember..my bank returned me the money...so off to a dealership i went to PX my car and settle the figure at the end of September. Took 2 days and much messing about and passed from pillar to post to get them to send me a settlement figure on PDF via email so i could get my new car sorted...apparently they don't do email because of GDPR (which is factually incorrect)...anyway..i think I am rid of them at this point.....fast forward to April 2024 and I receive a letter from them stating the amout of £3124 has never been settled..I ring the dealership I bought my new car from and they provide me with a screenshot of the bank payment being made to them on the 3rd October 2023....I ring these clowns again...and Im told that because they didnt put my agreement as a reference then the payment doesnt count.....I told them I will send the evidence I have..they say it doesn't matter....no agreement number then its not paid..I asked them to cross reference their bank..which they wont do......so I told them Id see them in court...should be a laugh!

Bullies

Bullies, on a PCP contract they offer absolutely no help with your purchased product, demand and take full payment at the drop of a hat. I paid nearly £3000 in negative equity (I understand it is not their fault I'd over paid for the vehicle) just to release me from the contract, and they are yet to refund me a small over payment or even acknowledge my settlement over a week after payment. (I can't imagine the intolerant attitude I'd receive if I'd been over a week late paying them during the contract). And before you reply the usual "we're sorry to hear of your experience, please contact us...." Nonsense, my name is David Gilbert and I have already had correspondence with you. Please don't finance your vehicle with this company.

Under no circumstance use this company

Under no circumstance use this company.
I cleared outstanding car finance on the 26th of march. On the 27th I received an email confirming the account was cleared and they had no further interest in the car.
On the 2nd of April they took a payment. I called them and was told it would take 8 working days for the money to be refunded, which is an absolute joke, considering they illegally took money from my account. They managed to take the settlement money instantly!!
Roll on to today the 12th April, still no refund. I called again to be told the refund has been initiated and would take 5-10 working days.
Absolutely ridiculous not to mention criminal.
Please do not deal with this disreputable company

My experience

Fantastic customer service pick my car last Saturday 1 pm all financed agreed by 3pm polite staff talking to me over the phone with my application could not fault them

A very bad finance company

A very bad finance company. I brought my car from Arnold Clark and they arranged my car finance through this company, as it was ending, without any notification they took nearly £3800 in a single month making my direct debits cancelled and all kind of financial problem. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Hi Robert, even though the GFV in the agreement (the large final payment) is detailed on the contract and due on the same date as the normal payment the month after the last normal payment is made, we know that some of our customers aren't expecting it, so our normal process does include advising customers that it's coming before we take it. Clearly that hasn't worked as it should have done in your case and I am sorry for that. Stay away from this company

Stay away from this company, sold a faulty car I cancelled the deal in first week and still taking money from my account , they are not helping I called in first week that I am not buying the car they even did not bother but asked dto deal with car dealer ,, interest rate is high too ,,

Who are this company

Who are this company ? Received a letter in the post saying I had been refused finance despite not even applying for it. I have an excellent credit record and could easily obtain credit from my bank should I require it. They've now left a hard credit search on record without my permission and I will be reporting them to FCA. SCAMMERS STAY WELL AWAY FROM NORTRIDGE FINANCE !

Worst than loan sharks

Avoid at all costs, I was sold a faulty car purchased through north ridge finance. They couldn’t be less interested. I am having to go through the financial ombudsman to reject! But they don’t even reply too them! You would get better service from a loan shark!!!!

Excellent Service!!

Upon applying for finance with this company their service has been nothing short of excellent from start to finish. They have always been more than happy to help with any queries from updating details and sending out copies of my agreement. They always go above and beyond to help especially in customer service. I have not a single bad word to say about this company and would recommend to everyone

Avoid at all cost

I have been having issues with one of Livingston dealer based in Deans ,Carmodean Centre who sold anunworthy car at premium price . I purchased a car on HP via northridgefinance.com , car is rusted like Titanic, having independent garage report, that car is rusty, that dealer loughed at loud,that car is in perfect condition. I went to finace copmany, and these "specialists" ,apparenlty received an answer from that dealer 3 weeks ago, that this is a cometic damage only. They have done nothing for 3 weeks, when pushed today, to confirm what they answered to that dealer, thay said that have been waiting for clients(mine) feedback. I have not heard better joke in my life. I call them every week, they push me away,sayign claim department will get back to, then thet I will get a letetr, then that investigation is still ongoing, that I will get a letter, another time that they will come back to me. By accident they admitted today, that they have been waiting for my answer which they never asked. When pushed again, they ask me to do "indpendent" garage inspection, as the report from the independent garage who serviced and inspected my car has been rejected by them (not in their favour). They asked me to do report through another "great - first in class" company from Bradford with 78% negative feedback, (private opinion) for a reason to not be able to resolve the issue. Girl from northridgefinance.com even refused to give their details saying to me to google it. She wants me to use them, but at the same time,she refuses to give their details to make an appointment. When trying to google that 3 letter company I had a thousand of results. What a waiste, absolutelly disgrace. If I would not push on them,they would close a case in 16 days saying,cosmetic damage, that didn not get a response form me. If this is only a cometics damage why dealer in Deans, Carmodean Centre did not resolve it , by for example applying Wax, (it is just a cosmetic damage) I do not have a choice, but to take further action against them and the Livingston dealer. An update 02 July 2024 - it took a while, but the vehicle is back to Northridge Finance (NF). I would recommend to anyone to seek help from finance ombudsman, they can resolve it(keep all communication with NF). In my case NF was not even responding to ombudsman, until they received formal notification. Do not wait to long, once you can go to ombudsman then go, because you might not get all the money you paid in, so the earlier is resolved the less money you will loose

Ignore previous reviews. I was thoroughly impressed

Reading previous reviews I had very low expectations. I explained my financial difficulties and the recent mental health diagnosis I had causing me to be out of work. I was transferred to Henry and the 2 and a half hour phone call we had discussing all my personal issues and concerns was nothing short of incredible I give full credit to his ability to be professional as well as understanding we discussed the vehicle and my lack of funds within the last 10 minutes and he advised me as best as he could to help in the best possible way but only after making sure I was ok mentally and emotionally. I was very impressed and very appreciative of his effort.

Faith in humanity restored

Not the review I was expecting to give!

It’s the usual procedure. You finance a used car, the dealers broker assigns a lender, and it’s not until a few days later you actually search online to see how reputable they are, only to read reviews (like the ones Northridge has) and panic ensues. I’m only writing this to hopefully reassure other people who might be in the same position I was - but I couldn’t fault the service I had from them. Was able to speak to someone within minutes each time I called (normally rang first thing) - they emailed a settlement quote straight away - and confirmed payment was made clearing my account within 24 hours. Based on my experience I would highly recommend.

Avoid at all costs

Purchased a car using this finance company. Within a 10 month period the car has had a failed turbo, numerous electrical issues which render the car unusable and several sensor issues, all on a car that is only 4 years old. While the turbo failed I was without the car for over a month and Northridge didn't care one bit. Called up to inform them and was told they couldn't help and it was my issue not theirs. I complained and they then suspended my warranty payment on the repair cost the day I was picking the car back up so was forced to fund from my own pocket. They did this without informing me or the garage/dealer. The dealer had to call up and ask what was going on, where they informed us I had a complaint so they will withhold payment until settled. I would then need to resubmit the claim from scratch, taking weeks. The only way to rectify they told me was to drop the complaint against them, forcing you to drop your complaint so you can afford a fix. I have, since this now raised a 2nd complaint with them and so far their only response to me is "sorry to hear you have cause to complain". 1 star is definitely to kind. If I could give a minus star review I would. Their customer service is terrible and they have no cares about said customers. I will be pursuing this with the Ombudsman. They are supposed to be a top tier lender but don't care one bit about you. Avoid at all costs!

1 Star is far too kind.

Giving them 1 star is more than they deserve. I raised a complaint with them in Feb 23 as car I bought had been mis-sold due to engine mapping and I hadn't been informed when purchasing the vehicle. The correspondence was via Royal Mail initially which delayed everything for no real reason other than to cause me an inconvenience. As I could not use the car whilst the "investigation" was taking place I asked if they could suspend my payments as I had no use of the car, to which they agreed. About a month later I got a letter to say I had fallen in default with my payments! I rang to explain there was a complaint/investigation ongoing but they told me this doesn't matter and I was now in default! I was never told about this when requesting a suspension of payments. The Financial Ombudsmen is now involved as despite it being 4 months since my initial complaint was sent, Northridge are now requesting that I drive the vehicle back to the garage where I bought it, despite them knowing that my insurance would be invalidated if I were to have an accident, all so that the garage can carry out their own investigation, also known as removing the mapping and running a diagnostic test to show that the car isn't mapped!!

Fortunately the Financial Ombudsmen agrees with me the car was mis-sold and so I hope I can now get this resolved and give the car back to the dealership.

Seriously, use any other finance company other than these fools.

Disgusting customer service no help…

Disgusting customer service no help whatsoever when asked if the monthly payments could be reduced because I said I could go up to £275 the charging me £375 was told to take car back if I couldn’t afford it absolutely furious at the total lack of support
