This company sent me a letter about a loan application, except I have not applied to them for finance, I dont even know who they are!? I can only assume they are criminals and are trying to scam people. I would avoid them like the plague there is obviously something very wrong here. They are obviously not abiding by the law.

Satisfied with customer support so far

The only company that offered me a car finance when on a poor credit score. Picked up a phone straight away several times I called them and always very helpful. The only things they could do better is to confirm an offer in writing before sending the agreement and easing the security questions.

passed for finance but Northridge not paid for goods

I am suppose to be going to collect my new car on monday the 06th March , train tickit booked etc , i passed for finance on Mon 27th Feb , on the 04th feb Saturday i get a call from the dealership stating that Northridge has not paid for teh car as yet, and that they cant get through to them , they have been trying all friday, so then i go on to look at there reviews, and gosh they dont even have one good review, not everyone can be wrong about this company, so i have sent them a recorded letter posted 06th March stating that within my 14 days cooling of period i wish to cancel the contract for hire purchase, and that this is also confirmation incase they try to get out of it, reg no YG72 WXY , avoid at all cost worst finance company i have ever come accross , Nathan Chadwick

I sold my car after a settlement figure on 15th Dec 2022. I have since had letters saying I am in errears. I contacted the garage who paid off northridge the same day. Affrer numerous phone calls they denied this. The bank statement from the garage has proven this. They now say they had payment on the 15th Dec but not enough was paid I have seen otherwise. The customer service is diabolical and now my credit score has been affected. Think before you get in any agreement with this company.

Bad situation - not their fault

I bought a car from a dealership and used these guys. Had lots of issues with the dealership, but a faulty car ended up being the start of a nightmare, to cut a long story short. Ended up having to reject the car, which is a time consuming business going back and forth between parties, granted. At the start it was difficult to get anyone to tell me what was going on and a very stressful 3 months. I think the junior staff make the best of what they can do as they are probably very busy. Always friendly and happy to help though. After months of constant chasing and getting nowhere, I got through to one of the nicest ladies. Emma went above and beyond to do the right thing for the consumer based on facts, not conjecture. She was a serious credit to this organisation and turned this from a 1 star review last week to a 4 star now. Always contacted me when she said she would and no issues at all.

Only reason I gave 4 stars was because at the very beginning I was slightly ignored during investigation, but they pulled through at the end and that for me, is all that matters. Recommend.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

First time contacting them just needed my agreement number as I misplaced it. I was given the agreement number but the person on the phone did not seem like he wanted to help, could not provide other information I wanted, seemed annoyed that I was asking questions and hang up at the end to avoid me. I was shocked and laughed he must hate his job bless him. I came here and read the reviews and I'm like whoa....this company is actually poop.

I took a heart attack in August needed a payment break for a couple of months until I got back to work not very helpful now my credit rating has been affected by them did not miss a payment in 3 years for my car finance worse company out there will never use them again

Awful finance company

Awful
Company to deal with. When. Challenged my policy they were argumentative. Unprofessional and were completely uncooperative.
I will never use this company ever. Id rather take public transport.

Agree with other reviewers. This company is a joke

Agree with other reviewrs. The private dealers broker company got me finance with this company even though my credit history is excellent, maybe for a heafty commission. I didnt read their reviews at the time. They told me i can make repayments but the interest charged on the full amount will still be charged as normal and they will not reduce it on pro rata basis. Lu kily i was still in 14 days period and took a personal loan out and paid them off. Stay well clear..

All in my opinion...

All in my opinion.... Total lack of customer support in rejecting a faulty car. Avoid complying with statutory legislation. Avoid taking calls if they can - queues are ridiculous - often 1 hour plus. They appoint a Customer Communication Advisor to a case but won't allow you to speak to that person directly. The representatives that I have got through to are all junior in standing, unable to answer pretty much anything of any relevance, and seem to have been trained more in being obstructive, and even rude, more than anything else. Many have strong, almost incomprehensible accents too. I'd pay three times as much to avoid this company in the future and wish I'd checked their online reviews before agreeing to deal with them.

company is impossible to reach by…

This company is impossible to reach by phone, I've been tying to contact them for two days now about my settlement, which I have payed in full through my bank. I was kept on hold for twenty minutes then later, thirty minutes the first day and twenty five minutes the second day and I still have not spoke to them. There is no way that they can be that busy. This is one company that I will make sure Im not using again. There are plenty of other finance companies. Obviously this company and its staff do not have any respect for their customers. How many more bad reviews do they need to get before they rectify these kind of issues??

Will take funds without your knowledge

Yesterday my bank account was showing Northridge had taken out £5135.35 from my account, without my knowledge. After speaking with an incredibly rude young lady on the phone, I realised they had sent a letter to my old address outlining the end of my PCP and detailing the settlement figure which I obviously never received. So, they send one letter, if you don't receive it or respond to it they will just take the money out of your account without a phone call, or additional letter. My husband was working away, so I had no funds whatsoever for 24 hours, no money to put fuel in my car and was terrified I was going to break down on the motorway with my baby in the car. So poor and the customer service was terrible, she just kept saying it was in my agreement (which I had signed 4 years ago) my bank withdrew the payment but it wasn't until the next day I had any money. Really worrying experience and they just didn't care in the slightest.

NO help whats so ever

When you have issue with a car you have bought with Finance, you are meant to have the support of the finance company if thing go wrong, not with this company, they re-iterate they have 8 weeks to investigate, i'm 4 weeks in and letter today sounds like Arnold Clark wrote it for them. It would seem they do good business together and neither will take responsibility or refusing my Consumer rights to rject the car.
It would now seem I have to go down the legal route as well as reporting them to the financial conduct authority. But will be dragging them it to it, their delaying tactics along with the dealership is very un-professional.
It is 2022 why is everything still being sent by post? no direct contact with complaint handler? poor poor poor
My advice to anyone, if you have the option of another fiance company - TAKE IT, Northridge are not interested if things go wrong.

Snakes

I'm like many other people. Covid hit me and I ended up losing my job and business. I needed a holiday break of payments to make sure I could keep everything afloat. I spoke to one of the gentlemen (now a snake) at Northridge Finance and they agreed that as long as I keep up my payments after the 3 month holiday there would be no issues.

Fast forward the 3 months. I start my payments back and everything seems fine. I get to February (1 month after payments restarted), I get a letter from Northridge threatening default proceedings. It took me until the middle of March before I could speak to them as their customer service offices aren't open later in the day (again a snakey move). I contact them during my holiday break to ask why I received this and what I should do from here and they told me that I need to make these payments or it will affect my credit. Wasn't told me before, so again, snakes.

I asked if I could increase my monthly payments and they told me that the only way is to do an Income & Expenditure to increase it, but then said I can manually increase my payments on their rubbish website (you can't. I tried several times. Snakes always lie.)

I get the Income & Expenditure form and it's the most intrusive, disgusting form I've ever seen. How dare you ask good paying customers to fill out something like that. Vile. Absolutely vile.

So I emailed back and told them that I will not be filling it out and asked what will I do next? Again, the same rubbish of making the payment through Bank Transfer or increasing it on their rubbish website.

Low and behold, I get a letter a week later. "Recover our assets". Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha...

Wait, so I make over £3,000 of payments towards the car, during covid, I'm paying with furlough money as my business wasn't making any money, I scrimp and scrape, I ask for 3 MONTHS not 3 YEARS of payments to be stopped to help me, you agree to it and send a letter threatening that? No chance.

If someone from Northridge Finance reads this, hope you have an awful day, you ratbag.

I've made the payment and had to borrow more money just to keep going because if I lose my car, I lose another job. Snake!!!

Stay away from this company

Stay away from this company. No soft search completed, declined me for credit and left a hard search on the account despite "soaring high" credit score and no affordability issues. No arrears, hardly any debt but they refuse to give me the reason for declining me credit having left a hard search. Contact centre is of no help and the complaints process is only via post.

Shambles of a company. FOS will be contacted.

Absolutely disgusted

Absolutely disgusted. You decides to make their customer service an answering machine. What a way to save cost. They said leave a message and we will call you back. 21days later, I’m still waiting for a call. My car finance is about to come to an end and there is no one to speak to regarding my next plan. Absolutely disgusted

What away to run a company I called the…

What away to run a company I called the customer service they have aa answer message to email them and they will get back to you in 2 to 3 working days or do it online. What about people who cant do it online or need a question answering quicker than 3 days. Wont be using this company again. Steer clear.
