Makes managing bills so easy as everything (gas, elec and water for us) is together in one payment. Already have a broadband contract separately but you can add that too. Staffordshire are super friendly and helpful with all the different options. I even got cash back on my deal!

30% Usage, No rebate or even calculation 8 months later.
I rented a flat for a project I was working on in Scotland and was advised by the letting agent to use one utility because it could help me to simplify the setting up and management of my utilities because I would only be using the flat for 30 to 40% of the time.
I had a number of conversations with very helpful staff about how the service worked and it seemed to be a good solution, particularly because I was told that the setting up of the utilities, dealing with the companies and the billing would all be handled by One Utility.
I did express a concern both verbally and in writing that the estimated billing was high but was assured that when I cancelled the contract, any over billing would be rebated to me.
I was aware that the billing was overpaid and that I would be overpaying because the quote was provided on a basis of 2 people occupying a flat in the area 100% of the time. As I was travelling and occupied the flat 30% of the time, I was expecting a rebate of any over charging.
Now more than 8 months later, I have still had no rebate, no final calculation and nothing more than a series of very pleasantly worded emails effectively offering me no help whatsoever.
One Utility claim that they have had communications issues with EDF and last week when I ask for details of the actual costs that they have incurred and I request a full refund due to a breach of contract, I am told that there is also a problem with Sky.
How can a company that claims to be offering a service to deal with utility companies on behalf of clients claim that more than 8 months later that they are unable to identify the costs of the utilities because they are having problems communicating with suppliers.
They refuse to give me any clear information, have provided no indication of what the charges have been and offer no solutions to resolving this.
There seems to be no way of recovering funds, no way of receiving any kind of clear information and the service that was promised has been charged for but not delivered.
Hugely dissapointing not just because of the overpayments but because as a British national living in Europe for many years, I did not realise that this kind of snatch and grab operation was allowed in the United Kingdom and I can perfectly understand why residents of Scotland feel that they are being ripped off by utility providers.
