Website doesn't allow me to accept my second cat. I tried to call no answer. I left a message no call back, nothing I click on the website allows me to do anything, it continuously takes me on a look to fill in my details proceed to the next step, I get to the page to accept my pet that's just been chipped, allowed me to with one, when I try to do the same with the second cat, it just does nothing but refresh the page, what am I supposed to do?

Company that clearly just cares about themselves!
I understand that there is a fee for transfering a keepship, but I disagree with the compulsory subscription with no option to opt out.
Being automatically enrolled into an ongoing subscription is wrong especially when I have no intention of staying with Petlog and will transfer the details to my preffered database.
And please don't copy and paste the same bla bla response you reply with to every other negative review!!! It's just bad customer service.

Petlog has moved away from a one-off “set and forget” model because, too often, keeper details are not kept up to date. This is one of the primary reasons lost pets are not successfully reunited with their owners. Our current approach is designed to encourage active engagement from keepers, helping ensure contact details remain accurate when they matter most.
Our services now operate on a subscription model, which includes annual confirmation of the details held on the database, reminders to review and update information, and enhanced reunification support. This enables swift contact to be made when a pet is found and scanned. We have also introduced functionality that notifies keepers by SMS when their pet’s microchip is searched, including the location of the scan.
For keepers who choose not to continue after the first year, their DEFRA-compliant microchip registration remains in place. They may opt out of the service, with a one-off fee applying only if they later need to access additional features, such as updating their details.
We fully recognise the important role breeders play in pet welfare and reunification, and we value you taking the time to share your perspective. Your feedback helps us continue to improve the support we provide to pets, keepers, and professionals alike.

Friendly service but massively overpriced - rip off
Friendly service - but a complete rip off - £39 to transfer ownership that is automated - I don't want other services - massively overpriced.

The cost paid when a pet is microchipped includes the cost of the microchip, the implanter’s time, as well as registration on a database for the lifetime of the pet; be that 10 or 20 years or more. Only a very small percentage of this fee contributes to the database services which includes a 24/7 reunification service for lost and found pets.
We are only one of a number of government compliant reunification databases for microchipped pets; all of which have similar charges to support pet keepers over the lifetime of their pet.
We believe in offering the best service and value for our customers, therefore we defer income to maintain our lifetime service promise. In addition to this, from our inception, Petlog has been dedicated to supporting the animal welfare sector and promoting responsible pet keepership. As such we dedicate significant resource every month to providing welfare organisations, such as Dogs Trust, Battersea Dogs and Cats Homes, RSPCA The Kennel Club’s Breed Rescue and many other smaller welfare organisations the support to access our database and welfare rehoming services for free.

I called Petlog because my vet didn’t have a number in their records to prove that my dog was covered. I called and my mind was immediately put to rest as I was assured that my dog is, indeed, microchipped in my name. This was dealt with efficiently and courteously by a member of staff and I am very grateful.

Failure of a company
For 6 months I've been trying to update my cats details after we moved. I found that 5 years ago the database had been updated and new accounts had to be made, but no notifications about this have been given.
I made a new account and tried to register my cat again, initially told it was a match, then a few days later I was told it wasn't, but not why.
I work in animal rescue and checked the details on our database only to find the details seem to have become corrupted (I assume this is why there isn't a full match) the first line of the address is correct, but the postcode is "xx999xx" the phone number is missing, and the email is "user_20200309044143_no_email_set @ noemail.com"
The surname is correct, but the rest of my name is missing. It's been 6 months and I've still not got my cat back on my account or his details up to date. Given that this is now a legal requirement in the UK this is ridiculous. And if my cat were to go missing there would be no hope of someone contacting me.
This incompetence not only risks my cats safety should he go missing, but also technically means I'm breaking the law.
My most recent issue when trying to verify my phone number to fill in more forms is I'm met with "verification expired" despite the code being recieved less than a minute ago. I've been trying this over multiple days.
Edit:
It seems I cannot reply to the reply from petlog. But we've been asked to call them to fix this, but need both of us in the call to do so. However, their phone lines are only open 09:00-16:45 Monday to Friday. Due to work we will never be together during these times to resolve this issue, and they do not have an email system anymore, so the only option left is to "raise a case" which is what I keep doing and is always a dead-end.

Fees to change an address!
Although the vet registered my new cat with the microchip linked to my current address, the account was linked to my old cat with my old address. They wanted £15 to update my address. WOW £15 to change and address even the banks dont charge this. Day light robbery!
