We recently had our solar system installed and overall had a very positive experience. The process from quote to installation was smooth, and the system is performing well.
A special mention to Martin, who was excellent throughout. He provided the initial quote and remained available on WhatsApp whenever needed. I contacted him several times—for help with export setup, resolving a window issue caused by the scaffolding company, and even when my Duracell system disconnected due to a fuse. Each time, he responded promptly and helped get things sorted.
Like many others, I feel the benefits of solar can sometimes be slightly oversold at the beginning, and the real savings depend on how you use the system. However, installing solar is still a worthwhile long-term investment - especially for someone like me who values clean energy and reducing reliance on the grid.
Overall, a good experience with reliable support when it mattered.

Ahmed Shafiq, was my REST rep who did an outstanding job at explaining Solar System to me, what my property needed and the process.
I had many questions and he answered every single one (and I sent questions out of hours too)
I felt like he went above and beyond.
From Ahmed to installation team and back office: REST! has helped me a lot making sure they delivery what I wanted.
There are still questions I have now randomly and they support.

From when Ash came through the door to discuss everything i would need through to the guys who did the install this was a brilliant experience.
Ash is a top lad who explained everything in detail and didn't rush me into signing anything I didn't want to nothing was to much trouble for him.
The company as a whole are very professional arrived when they said they would and did my I install in some of the worst weather conditions possible without moaning once.

My wife and I recently decided to go for solar panels, batteries and an inverter. We approached four companies in total and chose the last ‒ REST (Renewable Energy Services Team Ltd.) as this company has very good reviews on Trustpilot. The Sales Representative who visited us, Martin Curtis, was very clear in his breakdown of the cost of installation and also how much we could hope to save on electricity over the coming year/s. The fitters and electrical engineer who installed the system (including 16 panels on our south-facing roof), did an excellent job. We have not detected any leaks into our attic, despite the subsequent torrential rain showers here on Exmoor, a factor we were naturally concerned about. Hence, we are very pleased with the system as purchased and installed, and would highly recommend this company.

I had a solar system installed by Rest Solar in May 2025, and my experience has been extremely disappointing. The company promised a 30‑year service plan, but in reality, their after‑sales support has been almost nonexistent.
Recently, I faced an issue with the system and had to pay £420 for a repair visit. Two technicians arrived without any proper sign‑in, sign‑out, or verification process. They claimed the job was completed but did not carry out any proper testing or provide a sign‑off. When I asked them to verify the work, they became rude and unprofessional.
I also tried contacting the company’s management for support, but my calls were ignored. The difference between the promises made during the sales process and the actual service delivered is huge. Once the system is installed, there is no meaningful support, no follow‑up, and no genuine customer care.
If you are considering spending £10,000–£20,000 on a solar system, I strongly recommend choosing a company that provides reliable after‑sales service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Rest Solar.

The company is really good. Customer service is excellent. I was dealt by one of their advisor Ashuman who was such a knowledgable and polite guy. He supported me throughout the process up to the installation and handover. He was always ready to answer any questions I had and even contacted other teams on my behalf. The whole process was seamless and the installation staff were brilliant. A very happy customer taking benefit from the solar energy. Would highly recommend them.

Discussion with Raz about my requirements and how best to achieve them was professional, informative, positive and helpful. Equipment -2x batteries and a hybrid inverter- and price was agreed and an installation date confirmed. Communication with Charlotte, Afsana and Michael in the office was clear and concise. There was a logistical issue affecting the previous job which pushed the installation to the following day. Mark and Clint duly arrived the next morning . They encountered an unforseen issue with my existing solar layout which meant that I needed a different inverter. Hassan was contacted and a replacement inverter was delivered just after noon that day, in order to complete the installation. The installation was completed late afternoon and worked. Unfortunately the app needed a software update which Michael completed by around 7.30 that evening. A good team effort by all involved. The system and app have performed as expected since. I tend to judge people by how they respond when things don't go exactly to plan and I feel that REST are a firm that I would do business with again. Thank you to all involved.

Had my system fitted yesterday 11/02/26, looks exactly as illustrated and only took the day to install!
Ash came out to quote us and explain the process. He is very straight forward didn’t try to over sell the product at all. Really good guy, didn’t pressure us at all, easy to talk to and obviously knows his job very well.
The fitters on the day where very good, kept the place tidy and were patient with our situation as we had to move animals around and it can get quite a busy house at times.
Overall the company are very good, paperwork (email) is very quick and easy to navigate.

I had an over the telephone chat with Andy who arranged for rest to come out and install the solar battery for us. Afsana kept us up to date with all developments. The two men that installed it were quick and efficient and did a great job explaining the online app. Highly recommend the team. Great job done well.

If you look at solar panel installations, large or small you will notice that all the panels are identical on any installation and match one another.
Sadly I engaged Rest UK to supply and fit solar panels, on completion I paid in full as requested but complained that the panels were not all the same.
This installation is on the front aspect of a bungalow with a low roof as you approach the bungalow you can see that the panels are not all the same, it looks awful.
I have no issue with the workers who carried out the work, as they can only fit the parts supplied.
I first contacted the sales person who had promised to be so helpful if there were any issues which would be easy as he lives locally, he simply referred me back to the company.
I then spoke with the company sales manager who assured me that after a few weeks after the panels had gone through a number of cycles they would all match so not to worry.
I waited several weeks before getting back to him but there has been no miraculous change in the awful appearance, after a lengthy conversation he accused me of harassing him and referred me to their installation team.
The installation team was no help at all and has refused to rectify this defect which would never have happened had they exercised some customer care and simply checked that all the panels matched and were from the same batch.
So in summary if you want a mismatched panel installation by a company that lies to you then use Rest UK.

Yeah i decided to go with rest and after a little mix up at the begging i am very satisfied with the service and after service, firstly from the start they are fully explaining everthing and even have it all scrutinised buy a separate external company to validate the claims they are putting forwards to me are true so thats great an extra layer of security for your investment. And secondly after service, they are there at the drop of a hat explaining in detail exsactly whats needed to set your system up best to suit your exact needs i mean couldnt if asked first more. I am going to mention one negative and that is they contacted me too much trying to resolve an issue that arose it was way to much and i felt left hand didn’t know what right hand was doing at that moment in time but must be said quickly resolved and great service from there. Michael in particular is able to guide you step buy step and is very knowledgeable. Overall very happy and the guys that fitted my system were absolutely lovly real genuine decent guys and thats all you want and scaffolders were absolutely brilliant and i actualy requested mine taken down very quickly as it was mostly on my neighbours property and-it was down two days later
